don’t get me wrong Kemba was amazing for the franchise. the guy gave his knees for us 😔 we just couldn’t(didn’t) build around him. i hope the front office doesn’t do the same for LaMelo but… with Old Man Mitch K as GM 🤦🏻♂️

@@bossattack7105 I agree. I think his ego got the best of him. His last year in Charlotte he was taking well over 20 shots per game to get those 25 points. There’s no way he was going to get near 20 shots per game with Tatum, Brown, Smart etc… plus he was a pedestrian shooter at 41% over 8 years. I think I read somewhere that they were hoping he would take 175 after negotiations. He heard the initial offer of 160 and immediately announced he was heading to Boston. I think he had a bad agent too.

The original franchise left Charlotte for a reason, NC basketball fans are too engrossed in their respective college basketball tribalisms to care about NBA basketball. Therefore, nobody shows up to the games unless a top tier team is in town and the building gets packed to the rafters with the other team’s fans, therefore, the team makes no money, therefore, they can’t afford to pay anybody worth a damn to stay long term. That being said, let’s start the countdown to when they finally pack up and move to Seattle to become the new Sonics.
