The thing about Katherine is that yea, it looks like she legit loved Stefan from what we see in this episode but then she manipulated him, drove a wedge between him and his brother, would bite and feed on him, etc. There are plenty of abusers out there that are perfect partners until the flip is switched and still claim to "love" you while doing messed up stuff to hurt you. I won't spoil what Katherine really thinks or what her motives are since that's the mystery at hand but I will say that at this point, it doesn't matter to me. That's not love. And Stefan's allowed to have complicated feelings about that time while still recognizing she's a manipulative, sadistic narcissist.
I feel two things can be true. She is a menace for sure. And they had a genuine connection once upon a time. Given her story, her survival is most important to her. Then again, they've all done terrible things. They're vampires who battle with their humanity. It's much more nuanced.
Thank god, there’s some one here who actually understands this, Katherine is suffering from dark empath/ narcissist personality disorder. They are master manipulators and their victims will not realise they’ve been manipulated until it’s too late and they’re already been destroyed by them. They are considered the most dangerous personality disorder, even more dangerous than antisocial(sociopath, psychopath) personality disorder because they’re extremely good at reading people emotionally and psychologically and learn about their weaknesses and insecurities and know exactly how to use this against them and to their own benefit. Katherine relationships with both brothers were extremely abusive in different ways. Katherine was using Damon as a sex toy and also use his love as the source to feed her ego because of the intensity of his love and I will not get in spoilers that why it was so easy for Damon to fall in to her trap. Katherine claimed she loves Stefan but this is not love, she’s willing to destroy Stefan just she could finally have him. She’s more obsessed with the idea of being loved back by him. It’s not about loving him, it’s about winning him over like a prize because he’s the only person who claims he never loved her, this really hurt her ego and made her even more determined to make Stefan hers and finally satisfy her obsession.
@@mahamoon1917 The strange thing is, that she manipulates all men to get something specific she needs from them, except for Stefan who she truly loved, but then why Damon? He didn't benefit her in any way except to boost her ego like you said. She loved Stefan and he loved her back so why sleep with his brother I don't get it and I guess that's why I never rooted for her with Stefan despite her being one of the most interesting characters.
@@little7redify that’s my point, it might look like that Katherine is not manipulating Stefan on the surface but she’s abusing Stefan like all the others but in different way. She’s threatening his loved ones and specifically the girl he loves, giving him an ultimatum that if he didn’t break up with her, she would kill Elena and everyone she loves, this is not love in any shape and form. Katherine doesn’t love Stefan, she loves the way Stefan made her feel so it’s about herself not him. Stefan didn’t also love her back, he was in love with the idea he had about her before he learned about her vampirism but he couldn’t accept her as a vampire and he also tried to project those feeling on to Elena. When he met Elena, he saw a HUMAN who looks like Katherine so he saw an opportunity to rewrite his love story. He wanted Elena to be the angel he thought Katherine was before he learned the truth about her, Elena was supposed to be everything for him that Katherine wasn’t and couldn’t be and that’s why Stefan refused to see Elena’s flaws and her dark side. To him Elena is this innocent little girl who can do no wrong, this is how Stefan sees her because he’s trying to fulfil the fantasy he had about Katherine before everything happened. Katherine herself only loved the entertainment those brothers provided for her. To see two brothers fight for her affection and then Pitting them against each other by getting in a middle and destroying their brotherly bond. She didn’t care about either one of them, she just wanted to entertain herself, after being alive for more than 500 years, you need something to keep your self occupied so you wouldn’t get bored and of course Katherine would only choose the most sadistic way to entertain herself.
I feel like he had a point. Like is a “werewolf” just someone who turns into a wolf? Is only the wolf referred to as the werewolf or is the person themselves called that too? Is a wolf and a werewolf the same? I get it. I had these conversations with my Mom when she got me into this. She’d get so frustrated because every “universe” had their own rules on how it all worked and she wanted it to all be consistent no matter if it was a completely different show or movie.
As much as I love Damon, I can't help but shake my head at some of his decisions. Once Mason had called a truce, he didn't need to continue with his plans.

Once he has this idea in his head that someone has the potential to be a potential danger he will do anything to get rid of them. Doesn't matter if they want a truce or not and it makes sense because Damon doesn't trust people so to him mason could one day decide to kill him or Stefan even if he says he wants a truce today what about tomorrow? It happens not just with ware wolves, it happens when the originals are introduced as well. Elijah wanted a truce but damons trust issues get in the way. To him Elijah is a lot more powerful truce today sure but what about when he decides no truce? Rather think of a way to kill him and avoid that😂 it makes sense for his character as Elena would say it's "Damon logic"
Katherine saying how werewolves only exist in really bad movies always gets me because Nina was in one and it was very bad so it seemed personal when she said the line😭😂
I hope they do buffy one day. When watching Ted lasso none of them recognized Anthony head in it, so it doesn't seem like they've ever watched buffy. That would be cool

Actually Stefan was stronger than Mason during the arm wrestle but was just testing to see if he had human strength or not. He just let him win so that Mason wouldn't be sus about them.
kathrine claiming she didn’t compel stefan love but she compelled him to do so much that would probably stop him from being in love with her. also damon said in an earlier episodes kathrine never compelled his own feelings
Atlanta was most definitely a place in the 1800’s. They were on the confederate side of the Civil War and played a big part of it. Which is the time period the story of Stefan, Katherine & Damon originally takes place.
And, Sherman pretty much burned Atlanta to the ground in his March to the Sea. Losing her home to fire was the reason Katherine gave as to why she had to "flee" Atlanta.
Guys your videos are bringing me so much joy in a really tough time. Earlier today my house I've lived in my whole life burned down suddenly and my dog died in the fire. It all happened so fast. Still doesn't feel real. We have a place to stay for the night and we have relatives to stay with in the future and a lot of support from family and friends so those are blessings, but my point in saying all that is,your video popped up and I got so Happy and excited. Helps me forget all my problems and fears for a little bit and just be present and not obsess/worry about tomorrow.
Katherine is my favourite character on the show. Shes a terrible person but a great villain truly. Nina Dobrev does such a great job. Every Katherine storyline is interesting amd complex. I just think episodes shes in are better for it. I love Katherine what a fun villain. She’s a menace but shes my menace

Mason isn't stronger than Stefan. Stefan didn't want to out himself so he let Mason win after testing his strength. That's why when Damon asked him he said his strength wasn't like a vampire's, but it was stronger than human.

I recommend you guys watch teen wolf its interesting cringe sometimes but majority of the time its a mystery and has twist and turns its a good show and they have good characters especially Dylan O'Briens character aka styles its a good watch it's
I love that Stefan does not play around with Katherine, he doesn’t allow her to mess with his head and he’s not easily fooled by her. I guess it really just shows that Damon was the one who truly loved her because he allows her to mess with heart over and over.🫠
Stefan loved her too. But he doesnt love the way Damon does. I would never say Damon loves more deeply. Stefan loves deeply too. And they are both true to love. The difference however is that Damon loves his women obsessively. Even if shes a warewolf, a vampire, a human. Even if theyre evil. Whomever. If he loves them. There is nothing above them. Not even his brother. But for Stefan. I guess hes more innocent. A little more righteous. That combined with the fact that he feels guilty for making Damon into a vampire, ended up with Stefan making amends through out his entire life for the actions of his brother. Inevitably stefan always loved his brother more than his women. Atleast in the case of Elena. Lets say. Ones not lesser than the other. Theyre both equally amazing with their own set of flaws. But Damon just loves obsessively. Madly. Sone people even find it to be toxic. I dont. But i dont blame them. So 😅 yeah. In the end you just love them both.

Hey actually curious. I never trusted Mason. Wasn't he just pretending to offer a truce since he was working with Katherine? They wanted the moonstone. She had him all brainwashed. I felt sad for him. He didnt deserve to die. But he got carried away by Katherines lies and was dangerous. So idk. I felt Damon not trusting him was a smart move. However just poking him with something that youre not even entirely sure would weaken them and not thinking before acting is definitely stupid. But hes i wouldnt say Damon started this 😅 Katherine did.
So the beginning nightmare sequence implies that Katherine was forcibly in Stefan’s head likeDamon has done to Elena with the crow in season 1 in her nightmares. Vampires can create dreams/allusions in people’s heads
He wasn’t stronger than Stefan. He was stronger than a human and Stefan knew that so he couldn’t exactly beat him, then Mason would know that he’s a vampire
Katherine is such an interesting character. She's pretty much a horrible person but you still can't help but be intrigued and wonder what she'll do next.
I dont get why Maison is making a secret out of the "how to become a ww" i mean, if it was about the Stone i would get it.. but what if Tyler killes somebody accidentally.. like if he knows he can take care, but Maison be like "if you dont know you dont have to worry".. like whaaat xD
Because Tyler seemed intrigued by the idea of becoming one despite being told how bad it was. And Mason knows Tyler acts on his feelings so Mason wouldn’t want Tyler to have stronger intrusive thoughts
I like Catherine a lot more than Elena for sure she’s more interesting and her personality imo at least so far in the show also seeing both on screen at the same time Was cool
she does a good job playing both characters, the way they both move differently, the clothing style, the neklace not being worn in katherine's shots. if you make sure to pay attention to all that now you might be ok but it gets harder.

Old illustrations depict an entire range from a hybrid looking creature to something looking very wolflike, yet walking on two legs. Y'all saw the werewolves in TWILIGHT were nearly-identical to regular wolves aside from their massive size. We'll see how this show spins the tale. 🐺
Katherine never compelled the brothers for their love. They wanted her willingly. She just compelled Damon to let her sleep and Stefan to drink her blood. I love how she tricked him. She didn't want to hurt him, just to talk. She sensed that vervaine coming a mile away. And Stefan was hypocritical. He did love her and was in denial because she's selfish from time-to-time. And he sold the vamps out just as much as Katherine did that night. And it understood from both angles on vamps and werewolves. They wanted peace and to live in Mystic Falls. Ashame all that drama made things worse
totally irrelevant thought, but it’s something that I just can’t shake… If to trigger the werewolf curse is to kill somebody, what about all the werewolves who unalived a person and DIDNT get away with it? Did they just shift in a jail cell killing all of his inmates and escape prison ??!! like what happens??? cause it just seems too convenient that all of these people that are wolves are just escaping jail time. You literally just killed the person.

i think tvd made them look like regular wolves to help them blend in and remain concealed from humans but are a supernatural being not a wolf I know you make twilight references sometimes and in regard to those werewolves it says in the book during the final "battle" with Voltari that Jacob and his tribe are not true werewolves. They are shapeshifters who the choice of wolf form is because of the lineage. They are not true "children of the moon" But they just call themselves werewolves because they don't realize the difference

In my opinion @Reel Time, I think Katherine messed around with Damon, because she hated men. Her baby daddy didn't marry her, her father disowned her, and men have hurt her as you will find out later on. I think Katherine had the Jezebel Spirit, which is a siren-like spirit that wants to see men get hurt. The underlying reason is hating men for what was done to her in the past. I think her plan was to hurt Stefan and Damon from the beginning by breaking their hearts.
