Hello Bustlords! Season 5!!! Wootwoot!! So first things first the audio in this one is wonky to say the least. Aaron's XLR cable is starting to poop out. I did my best to work around it but it's definitely noticeable in some areas. Gonna be the same for episode 2 since we recorded both together. Speaking of episode 2 I'm really gonna try to pump out this season with the utmost urgency. I wanna get to the good stuff as I'm sure all of you do. This season premiere was fantastic. With such an increase in production quality, one can only assume that there will be an increase in the quality of storytelling to match. I'm hyped. Aaron is hyped. Only one episode in am we already have a million questions. How will the lannisters face the backlash from the iron bank? Whose going to join team Khaleesi? Where will Brienne end up? Where the heck is Reek? Hopefully this season will answer some of our questions. But until it does.. keep bustling yall. We love you all and we will see you on the next one :)

The young girl who was with Cersei in the flashback was named Melara. In the books, when she asked for her future she was told she would die young. On the way back home, Cersei pushed her into a well to keep her from telling anyone of where they went or did.

I think it was implied that something might have been added to the wine to make him even more drunk, like a drug. Robert drank to excess all the time - to drive him to be super reckless and unable to hunt like he usually did might take a bit more than just wine. Slipped him a Mickey as they say.

No poison. Robert was given Strong Wine. Strong wine is like liquor. So Robert was drinking Rum thinking it was simply wine. Cersei gave Lancel the strong wine and told him to make sure his cup was never empty.

So a fun thing to know is that in the books when Cersei talks to the witch, the witch says in the prophecy that a "Valonqar" will end her life and "Valonqar" is High Valyrian for "little brother" so that is what grew not only Cersei's resentment for tyrion but also her paranoia that he was going to destroy her.

so they didn't keep the other part of the prophecy where the witch talks about the Valonqar (which later, Cersei finds out it means "younger brother), about how he would be the responsible for her downfall too. part of the reason why Cersei hates Tyrion so much is because of her paranoia to think he'll do something against her at any point (i mean, it's prophecy, you just can't avoid it)

@@fordhouse8b it depends, when it's a prophecy about a legendary warrior that will come back to save the world, it's open for interpretation and most of the people who think the prophecy prefers to themselves are wrong. as for the Maggy the frog's prophecy, it was something directed to Cersei and how those things will happen to her, which means that no matter what she does to avoid that, she's just fucked: the beauty queen will come for her and yes! all of her three kids will die. it's written

Of course the gotta do HotD since they are doing GoT. But they do upload one video once per week or so. If they would start reacting to another show, we would not get more content in terms of quantity. Maybe season two of HotD is out already by the time they have finished GoT.

@@Funnysterste Ok Look at it this way Mike and Arron are doing 1 episode a week there are 32 episodes to go of Game of Thrones so that's 32 weeks .. 26 weeks is half a year we are in Feb so add 26 is August Roughly Plus a month and a half that makes October so say mid-October Add on the History and lore So that will be around November 2023 Now as for house of the dragon they start filming season 2 in march and they have said we won't see season 2 in 2023 most likely be in 2024 Now Season 1 of HOTD is 10 episode so 10 weeks add that onto November You looking around Jan or Feb 2024

Locking up those dragons is a mistake on several levels. Part of the fall of the Targeryans was the dragon pit, where they would house and lock up their dragons. If left to roam, dragons never stop growing. The locked up dragons never got as big as their ancestors until the last ones died no bigger than dogs.

The Seven Pointed Star in the sept is a symbol of the Westeros' main religion. They believe in the seven gods - Mother, Father, Maiden, Crone, Smith, Warrior, and Stranger. You heard about them a lot in the show already - Sam sang a lullaby about them to Gilly's child, the names of the gods were said during Rob's and Talisa's wedding, Lancel said "I found peace in the light of the Seven" meaning the seven gods, etc. I'm pretty sure there was some info about the religion in the History and Lore videos.

Just to clarify, Cersei absolutely thinks Tyrion killed Joffrey. She is very smart, yes, but at this point in the story she is blind with grief and rage. The rapid deaths of Joffrey and Tywin have her hellbent on killing Tyrion. She still detests the Tyrells but she does not have a clue that they (or Littlefinger for that matter) had anything to do with it.

Dany leaving her dragons chained, with no riders, no training, never even tried to properly bond with Rhaegal and Viserion. And her tenuous connection to Drogon at best. It was a mistake. Maybe one of her biggest.

Fell asleep listening to this though and had a horrible nightmare that Stannis the Mannis had all these wenches locked up in a castle he was slaughtering and while I was trying to get away he found me and told me to come with him, I just had to go grab a bonnet🤔tried to escape again whilst grabbing the bonnet (guessing he has a strict dress code for riding in the horse and buggy) and he found my ass and was coming up the stairs all stoically about to murk me and I woke up….mid heart attack basically😂🤣

Enjoy your reactions Note from this ep-The palace Tyrion and Varys are at is where we saw Danaerys, Viserys and Jorah in S1 Ep1. They hid there after escaping from Westeros and the deal to marry Danaerys to Drogo was brokered from there. Think they were actually married there too before heading for Vaes Dothrak? There is a symmetry in Tyrion & Danaerys journey in that both fled Kings Landing after the death of their fathers and ended up in the same place

The cold open of Season 3 had Jeor Mormont saving Sam. The cold open of Season 4 had Tywin melting Ned's sword. Both of them died in those seasons. While this wasn't technically a cold open as it came after the intro song, that flashback sure felt like a cold open. So is this the end of the road for Cersei? Or is it just a red herring? You'll have to find out. Btw the witch told her "gold will be their crowns....and shrouds".

Cersei didn't have Lancel poison Robert's wine, she had him replace his wine with strongwine so that he would get accidentally more drunk than intended/anticipated and so got gored by a boar.

I absolutely love hearing y’all explain what might happen in King’s Landing/who will take Cersei down. Fun theories there. Mike is one of the only people that thought that wasn’t Greyworm. So many people (including me) thought he got recasted haha. “I led you into the darkness.” “I doubt you’ve ever led anyone anywhere.” One of my favorite Cersei lines 😂 “Perhaps.” Margaery being sly... Daenerys says “I’m not a politician, I’m a Queen.” But don’t rulers deal with politics? I think both Mance and Stannis are making mistakes: Mance because he needs to get his people on the other side of the wall and Stannis because burning the Wildling’s leader isn’t a good way to inspire devotion to Stannis’ claim. With Stannis' rigid sense of the law, and his right as king, I almost would expect him to arrest Jon for murder. Imagine if someone who was witness to an executions by electric chair, would pull out a gun and shoot the prisoner. That person would certainly face charges for murder. Only the state, or someone who represents the state (and in this case the King) has a right to decide who lives and dies, and their manner of death. A logically consistent Stannis should have arrested Jon and had him executed for murder, just like he had Davos’ fingers cut off for smuggling.

Eh, Braavos and Mereen are SO far away. Braavos is just on the west coast of Essos, across the narrow sea. Mereen is like... Well think of Braavos like around where our Oregon is, and Mereen would be around our Florida. So no way is Arya anywhere close to Dany, nor is that anywhere close to where Littlefinger and Sansa even want to go, furthest thing on their minds.

Lol guys, another great video! Cersei prob knows Tyrion didn’t kill Joffrey but she hates him so much she can convince herself he’s to blame in some way. Plus she will lie, manipulate & do whatever else she can to try to convince Jaime to betray Tyrion for her. And do you think Lancel cut off his weenis just because he’s walking around barefoot in a burlap sack? You guys kill me 🤣 Melissandre & Jon Snow. This is an off-the-wall theory but she could be giving Jon shtoopy boopy eyes 👀 because he’s the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. He’s not necessarily a king but he IS a leader so maybe he has power in his blood too? In regards to Brienne’s motivations, I think she’s aspired to be a knight for a long, long time. she wanted to be part of Renly’s Kingsguard anyway. & unlike most of the knights in the show, Brienne tries to uphold the values knights should aspire to like; honor, bravery, justice & defending the innocent. Fun fact: It’s barely mentioned in the episode but Tyrion & Varys are in the palace of Illyrio Mopatis. Illyrio is the man who arranges her marriage to Khal Drogo & gives Daenerys her dragon eggs. Illyrio is also seen walking & talking with Varys in the dungeons of the Red Keep. Arya sees them while chasing a cat for her water dancing practice.

And yes, she's had such a hard-on hating Tyrion her whole life; even if she did know he didn't kill Joffrey, it's just more reasonable to/for her to believe that he did so she can not only hate him more, but now has an excuse to outright try and have him killed. With him killing Tywin, it's just the icing on the cake, and cause for her to go all out and try and have it done.

If she did what was selfish, she would have let them stay free. Ofc she didnt wanna put them down there. So now theyre pissed and shes reevaluating her choices. Cersei definitely does think Tyrion killed joffery because of how she treated him. Like Tywin told her she’s not as smart as she thinks she is. Cersei is upset about Tywin cause he was the power of house Lannister & the one everyone feared & respected not the incest twins

See I don’t think Cersei is pure evil. More of a dark gray. She hates Tyrion, yeah, but aside from that she’s doing what she has to do. Women don’t have any power in this world except what they take and can keep. And she can’t put armor on and kill her way up. If she wasn’t who she is, she’d be used for child bearing until she was used up or died in childbirth.

aside from hating tyrion? remember Ros? Remember the beating she order, when she assume Ros was the whore of Tyrion? Remember Sansa? And how sometimes she will torture her psychological? Perhaps you remember how she treated Sansa, in the dinning scene with Tommen and Myrcella? Remember Tommen asking her help to free Margaery, and how she was smirking? Remember in the purple wedding, how she was laughing at dwarf play? Remember how she assume Sansa killed Ramsay? And how she asked Jaime to Bring her head? Remember in the Joffrey wedding, how she demand to Pycelle to throw the food into the dogs, because she imagine that would hurt Margaery... even when Margaery was strongly put Joffrey name in a better light? Everything she done, was not because she has to do! She took please in each thing she done! Took example of Lady Olenna! She did killed Joffrey! But she didnt took any pride or enjoyment! She did it for the safe of house tyrell and Margaery. So yes! Cersei is pure evil. And luckily she was born as a woman! Because she had Tywin, Tyrion and Robert to control her. Otherwise, as a man, she would be allow to be free and perhaps she would become like Ramsay! She was like Joffrey! Again, the difference is that Cersei was never allow to explore her evilness, because she was controlled

Cersei is very much her father's daughter. He is evil and ruthless... and so is she. Jamie is a more complicated character. He's certainly capable of evil deeds (pushing Bran from the window, killing his own cousin, raping Cersei, carrying on a 20 yr incestuous affair with his twin, etc.). But he's also capable of good, as we saw in his time with Brienne, and in his relationship with Tyrion. They are both very interesting characters.

God the show ruined this story so much. The entire Feast for Crows book is showing that neither Cersei or Jaime are anything like Tywin. The entire point of Cersei is that SHE causes her own downfall, she’s a paranoid, stupid woman who constantly messes everything up and thinks she’s way smarter then she is. Tyrion has always and will always be Tywin

Its not really Dany's fault about the dragons. Again, who the hell in this age that GOT is in knows how to control a dragon? Nobody. Drogon is off doing his thing, running wild because nobody knew how to tame him. He's an unruly teenager really. So, unfortunately Dany didn't want her other two dragons to potentially do the same, run wild and cause triple the damage. She locked up two potential unruly teenagers. Is it wrong? Sure but what choice does she have? They are fuckin DRAGONS. They do what they want.

Cersei never killed king Robert. She had Lancel give him stronger wine, but that's not really killing someone. It's not like she could possibly know that a boar would kill him. I think it's more likely that she'd been giving him stronger wine for a long time in the hope that he'd eventually either die a little sooner, or have an accident. But it's not like she picked the time and place of his death. Anything could have happened. Robert could have killed the boar anyways. Or they might not have even found a boar. Or maybe they find a boar, and Robert misses with his spear, and the boar goes after someone else, or runs away, or injurs robert in a completely survivable way. To say she killed him, is a huge leap. But yeah...people do make that leap, for some reason.

So a theory I have is that Cersei and Jaime were conceived through heteropaternal superfundication, which is two eggs from a woman being impregnated by two different sperm from different men. So the babies are half siblings, twins with the same mother and different fathers, which I never really realized is possible in reality, but it is. In the books, there are rumors that the Mad King “took liberties” with Tywin’s wife Joanna, so I believe Jaime is Tywin’s son, more cold and calm and calculating. And I believe Cersei is the Mad King’s daughter, chaotic and reckless and lacking empathy. I know there are a lot of “secret Targaryen” theories, but this was always the one I actually believe. This would mean Joffrey and Tommen were Targaryen as well, which again makes sense to me.. Joffrey definitely gives “Mad King” vibes..

This theory has been floating around but with Tyrion and not the twins or one of the twins. Tywin was hand to Aerys and brought Cersei to court with him when she was young because he wanted her to marry Prince Rhaegar (thus her in the flashback asking if she'll marry the Prince). Lady Joanna went with them, and was a handmaiden to Queen Raella. That's how Aerys grew close to Lady Joanna and where the theory that Tyrion could be a Targ comes from.
