Love the stories, I saw one myself when I was a child of around 4 or 5 I don't tell anyone as at the time it was put down to a child's imagination, but at 59 now I remember it as if happened yesterday and as an artist and nature lover myself who often walk in nature I have felt them around me a number of times , the air and atmosphere changes.
YES!! It's that strange shift in the reality around us. I haven't seen one per se, except the Tree Man ... but was he Faerie?! Classic Faeries though I have never seen, and would love to see one. But I have had that same strangeness you describe. And a knowing that something, someone, is there. Thank you for sharing your experience :)
I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about your husband, Marc's, sighting of the nut-brown coloured man. I thought it was enchanting and it is wonderful to know that, even today, people are able to see 'the good folk'. I believe that you are very blessed if they allow you to see them. Blessings to you and Marc.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Marc is very lucky to be able to see what he sees, it's why he paints what he does, a fascination with the Good Folk. There will be more of his sightings and strange experiences, and some from people we know as well. They will always be in the Real Fairy Sightings episodes :)
@@talesoffeyandfolk Oh, wow! I'm really looking forward to those stories. Thank you so much. Yes, indeed, Marc is so blessed. You and he must have some interesting conversations, I should imagine! Best wishes to you both.
Currently binge watching your videos and loving every minute! I've never had an actual 'sighting' but, nevertheless, am mindful of the faerie folk when walking with nature, where I live in rural Essex, close to the Suffolk border.
Oooh very ancient landscapes where you live, a lovely area of the country. I'm like you, I've rarely seen anything, Marc's the one who is more gifted that way (hence his paintings and writings), but sometimes you just KNOW something 'other' is around :)
Hiya, does anyone know whether the changeling baby (that was treated kindly) grew up into an adult there? Have heard some folklore that says they sometimes will one day go back to the otherworld.
Sadly no, I couldn't find anything else. I guess because these are collected tales there wasn't much follow up after the initial record was taken. It's a shame really isn't it, it would have been interesting to find out what happened to the child as they grew. :)
@@talesoffeyandfolk yes, I hope they and the human mother became close, whatever happened later- after reading about changelings in Katherine Briggs dictionary it’s really fascinating and strange to hear a pretty recent real-life story corroborating the folklore 😯
Wonderful stuff! I would love to see and meet the Fey, I live near Dartmoor and have walked over much of it, even explored abandoned mines, hoping to see a mine knocker but so far, nothing. So I must keep searching. Thank you for this beautiful video.
Thank you... keep searching quietly. We used to live near the moor too and I haven't seen anything there myself, but certainly sometimes have felt a strangeness in some places. And it's a good excuse to keep visiting Dartmoor :)
