It's sad that this even happened in the first place. There are plenty of reviews of shit shows, movies or any other piece of media out there that don't sugar coat it at all like your video and they are rarely taken down. It only goes to show that the RT fans have been trained very well into accepting whatever content they churn out regardless of its quality. RT is one of the best shilling companies out there and it's not surprising that any sort of negative criticism (or any criticism that isn't fellating them at the very least) gets censored. It reminds me of RT's reaction to most of Lazer Team, a shitty movie they made, negative reactions: "It's just your opinion, bruh". Yeah, Death Battle has been really needing some major criticism, since its beginning pretty much. Every video of theirs I've seen has had some kind of issue, even in ones where the correct character won. All sorts of problems like: - them conflating a video game's mechanics with the character's actual canonical powers - them using arbitrary reference points (typically huge inconsistent outliers for the character they're biased towards) when gauging strength - them blending different incarnations of a character (picking and choosing whatever attributes they want) to create their own fanfiction version I really wouldn't care about Death Battle if it weren't for the horrid fanbase. It's a fanbase that I believe stands toe-to-toe with this Steven Universe and RWBY cancer. Never before have I seen a fanbase so unwilling to take criticism, and so overzealous that I can't even read a wikipedia article about a character without Death Battle's dumbass fanfiction being shoved into the article. Although, in just the last few days I saw what might finally be a turnaround in the Death Battle fanbase. A bunch of friends who consistently watched the show were calling bullshit on the latest video and remarking on a lot of poor analyses in older videos.

The animation is unacceptable on western or Japanese terms, the characters are shallow, the stories and dialogue are laughable and I feel it has to do from the pity points of the creator dying. There wasn't a single objective statement made in the entire video, from you discussing the rumors of the cast, to you insulting the cast, or simply insulting the animation or sound design you hadn't provided an explanation as to why you think the way you do. The purpose of watching videos like yours is to be presented with an interesting essay and case study in video format, but when you entire 40 minute video is just saying "your opinion is bad and you should feel bad" without an explanation as to why or at bare minimum an explanation as to the FACTUAL BASIS for those opinions many people, including myself, cannot be bothered to tolerate a long winded video of just pure shit talking. I actually didn't know the RWBY fans were THIS bad. I didn't expect a backlash, but I'm sure enjoying it. But yeah, this video is more of a list of everything wrong with RWBY than an argument. I just watched it, hated everything about it and felt I needed to get it out there. I don't even know how I would analyze something this bad. Maybe eventually I'll make a better version of this.
