I have always regarded you as the most beautiful person I have met, your eyes tells me that you are a broad minded person, you are kind and non scheming. Asian family needs to stop comparing children based on education. You’ll see the one with education will left their parents and busy doing their own thing while the “non-educated” one will stay home and be with their parents, taking care of them as they’re old. I’ve seen this a lot. There’s reasons why God made someone as how they are. So stop comparing

When I was little, a distant Uncle who was sleeping over, came to my shared room with my sister in the dead of the night and tried to grope my private part. I didn’t know what he was trying to do but it woke me up and he made an excuse and then left. He came back a while later and that woke me up again. I was annoyed and went to my mom to tell her Uncle was bothering me. She didn’t say anything but told me to lock my door. Since then, I didn’t like the uncle very much and was very weary around him especially when he sent us to school. Thinking back I am quite sad. Later, after a worker from our community came to our house to do some special stuff for us children I was receiving weird calls. Call that was asking me simple stuff at first and eventually begin to ask me what I was wearing. On the third time, I don’t remember what he said but it scared me so much I cried and took the phone to my mom. After she yelled into the phone, the person never called. Child predator is real. I have a little sister and have told her, whenever creepy people approached you, run to the nearest store and ask them to call the police.

TW/ sexual assault: i faced a similar experience and i can really relate to this... in this day & age i’m surprised society is still narrow minded about sexual assault and how badly it can affect your mental health. if you have never experienced it before, you will never be able to understand the mental scarring at that time when it happened. your mind goes blank and your body just kinda froze. you are scared. when you are scared everything just goes on mute. hence you just can’t “shout”.... if you’re gonna comment ‘youre probably wearing a skirt’. i was wearing jeans. - i think we should show a little bit more compassion. it doesn’t hurt. everyone’s hardships are different but we should all be more respectful and have a mature mindset about what other people are going through. not everything can be memes and trolls subject.

The circumstances of many Gen X and Y folks in Asia are almost similar, regardless of their income groups and where they live: having to live with parents who constantly compare you with other siblings/cousins/relatives who are doing well academically and in white-collar sectors and living under mental stresses from dealing with cultural and religious expectations.

I am not a hater, I just a very observant ppl.. ppl who so act out crazily because of jealousy. Too bad, they use their limited energy and time to pacify their jealousy.. those ppl not going to have their happy ending. I had my jealousy issue when I was early 20s.. I somehow attend some program and the coach ask me burn the paper I wrote about my jealousy issue..omg overnight I nvr felt jealousy anymore. I think my parents and aunts always short change me, I am freaking jealous with my younger brother.
