You did a beautiful job in everything you did. Wrap to turbo change and tune. Near perfect 911 in my view. I just traded my 23 Boxster S turbo for an older 911S 991.1 with N/A engine. I prefer the turbo set up. Like the low engine RPM power for everyday driving. Sights set on a 991.2 with turbo and updated Apple PCM. The older PCM is a brick. Thanks for your video.
I have a 991.2 carerra s - it’s always in the garage ! Had rear coil springs replaced due to failure( cracked) , new air con unit, new air oil separator, new turbo oil feeds, new turbo’s . One think I can say is that Porsche warranty is outstanding. Love it when it’s working as designed.what an awesome car
Point on the 991.2 carrera I don't think you mentioned is with the new 9A2 engine there's a new plasma based cylinder coating, should be equivalent to prior Nikasil coating and not have the bore scoring issue that is still affecting 991.1 and 997,.2 models (less so than 997.1 but still present). An important point to consider for an ease of mind ownership experience, and I think a disappointing issue for the prior gen models post IMS
The only thing you did correct is switch to the 911 and bought a soon to be rare 991.2! Had you bought at minimum a 4S you would have cashed in a whole lot more!
Since I knew I would upgrade the turbos, it didn't make sense to pay the premium for the S. I also just wanted the simplicity of rwd, but the 4 is still a great choice. 👍
@@speedcircuit I think 7th drops the RPM too low for most highway cruising. I’ll go to 6th at 85 mph or so. Had it up to 135 mph in 6th, thought about going to 7th but hit traffic.
