As a young black guy I never felt the liberty of “geeking out” over things that I genuinely like , that some might consider “different” for black men. Watching Tyler made me realize you don’t have to live in the boundaries of what’s considered “black”. Do you to the fullest and be happy. Anybody who hates on that is probably a closed minded individual who seeks validation from others rather than themselves.
hey man, we put up these barriers in our mind to fit in with conventional society because we fear being ostracized but the internet has helped us realize that its ok to like and feel different stuff about life too, I think thats beautiful. Society shouldn't chain us down or box us into conventional thinking because theres people out there that think you're different. I
@@SuperRavensfan101 bingo. We fear being ostracized and it didn't fit the Eurocentric view of success or the American dream. We want to be accepted as equal. But now since we are the new image of cool, then many people feel more comfortable to try new things. Thanks to each boundary pusher from previous generations.
I'm a black 40 year old female, I hate that I moved back to Georgia I'm around so many closed mind people that just look at me like I have 5 heads. I'm glad to be different and I'm glad I don't like the things the average black person likes, never did actually. I love rock music, electronica, house, pop, jazz, as well as some country and of course R&B soul and alternative R&B.
I love how Tyler's quirks and idiosyncrasies make him feel so human. He doesn't at all feel like a celebrity, but one of your close homies. His collections are fire, he definitely has a timeless sense of class! An old soul for sure

For those who misunderstand - Tyler isn't engrossed in materialism. He's a true appreciator of design as art, form, craftsmanship, aesthetic. There's a book called 'The Beauty of Everyday Things' by Soetsu Yanagi, it's a pretty good representation of the kind of appreciation Tyler the Creator has for 'things'.
Soetsu speaks of an appreciation of unremarkable utilitarian handcrafted goods, not designer goods with a century of marketing machine and consumerism behind them. Regardless, these designer goods are still artistically produced despite the capitalistic end goal of the product. Soetsu is great reading as well, good recommendation.
His cleanliness represents through never drinking or doing drugs. Just comes off as focused and clear headed with a simple direction with his art. Amazing dude.
Probably my new favorite vid of Tyler jus cos i love to see the things he geeks out on and his aesthetics are literally the most beautiful thing to look at
I think Tyler should either start a Podcast or a Twitch channel, cause this narrating and mindlessly talking about stuff he likes type of shit is so Dope. DOOO IT T!
“i need it!” “corny” “i think it’s real” “that’s trunk maker in french” “that’s a lotta pins bro” “it was so good!” “goddamn much” “ever” “i am a thief” “i love it” “that’s a Louis Vuitton bike!”
Seriously, Tyler needs to drop a jingle album. From the French Waltz and the Globetrotter to this one, these instrumentals make me feel like a wide eyed kid looking at the world full of wonder and inspiration, I can honest hear the feeling of “passion” in the instrumentals. Loved this short video!
The instruments and the voice noise in the background makes me think of baldis basics or like a voicemail made for flip phones. weird but somehow so fucking good
I absolutely love when Tyler talks about shit that he's passionate about. You can feel the love and admiration through the screen. It's so rare and beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us
Bruh I’m so happy you’ve come this far I’ve been a fan of you since I was like 12 and now I’m 23 still in admiration of the beautiful sounds you’ve created over these years and how free and authentic you are to your identity it’s definitely helped having someone to look up to throughout all these years man THANK YOU!
Tyler is a walking paradox. We need more people like him but if there is more people like him then it'll lose that feeling and vibe (I just realised I accidentally referenced Yonkers)
There’s nothing better than sharing the things that make you happy, only to have others around you share the things that make them happy. So keep sharing whatever makes you happy, and whatever it is, keep doing it. You all look great with a smile on your face.
The interest and hobbies that he has are SOOOOOOO.... For lack of a better term, deeply textured, extremely diverse, and touches on the richness of the past in such a beautiful way. I love this man's spirit and creativity
"For lack of a better term" is a phrase used when you can't think of a proper way to describe something and use cop out slang. You used 4 describing words, so I would say you weren't "lacking" anything.
@@bean6738 thank you for your input. I'm well aware of the meaning of that phrase. I just felt that the way I was attempting was off or didn't do it justice. That's all.
It’s the most amazing thing ever to be multi talented and be passionate about things most people now a days take for granted. I really enjoy listening to Tyler delve into the unknown , share his experiences/thoughts , and express genuine gratitude 🙏!
All jokes aside, Ive never seen a Podcast like this ever before. Tyler (again) invented a new style and its so dope. We need more people doing this quick podcast video type of thing. It's genius
Listening to a album front to back is one of my FAVORITE activities. Tyler I'm so glad your share that sentiment and your albums, all of them, sound perfect listening front to back.
He don't confine himself to a niche. He's a creator. He makes whatever fits his vibe. Whatever accomplishes his vision. Whatever the hell makes the world a cooler place. It's damn beautiful really
Found a new level of respect for this man. What a great collection on every front. This must be one of the best celebrity car collections I've seen and the rest was just a sight to behold. I love the trunk and pin collections! Thanks for this look inside the soul of Tyler!
This man has built the most complete Throwback Thursday aesthetic and it's just him collecting things he likes. I'm just happy he put this together to show it to us in detail.
I FUCJING LOVE HOW PASSIONATE HE IS ABOUT YHE THINGS HE LOVES MAN. Love ur passions and love them hard man. Love you Tyler been rocking since I was 11, 24 now.
seeing this video where tyler just talks about stuff he genuinely likes and finds value in reminds me why he’s one of my favorite artists. just someone real who can share his passions and creativity with us
Man you just seem like the most real dudes out there. I would love to have you on the rotation and just talk shit n learn from one another's experiences. Keep that positivity up man, keen to see where you go.
Tyler is just so inspiring, man. He is always genuinely himself and he’s always creating and just evolving and doing/improving what he loves. And he’s clearly successful, happy, and content but changing. I’ve been thinking about him lot lately so it’s great to see new content from him. I wanna be like him (in these ways) when I grow up.
All the way to my earliest days of watching loiter squad on TV Tyler has always gravitated to me his unique energy and always proud to be his self. something I always feel is lacking nowadays i love this guy
one the pioneers of modern hip-hop/alternative music and fashion.. the voice of many childhoods… just one of the greatest personalities in pop culture.. a legend can’t wait to see what the years bring to this legacy.. keep creating gang.. 🖤
Unlike many other rappers, Tyler gives alot of dedication in things, that's what gives him the special sense of _"savoir vivre"_ witch means the art of living in french.
This nigga is dope asf . Most rappers collect shoes , watches . But it’s interesting how he has a big taste for alot of vintage pieces and collectibles. You can tell he appreciates shit different and he’s a geek when it comes to art. I almost thought this was a song within in the first two seconds 😂😂😂
thanks so fucking much robb report for doing this interview this was like the coolest thing ever, listening to the things tyler likes is so great and he has been really distant in from the public eye, this feels so personal and i love it, tyler the goat fr
I literally love him so much, his entire legacy and the way he looks into the world and his interests are absolutely gorgeous.. he makes me so happy 🫶🏽
1:29 the little sun ray that hits the golden part of the case looks sooo surreal, like in cartoons when someone shows their teeth and that light appears
