Kinda weird how tectone takes some random screenshot of a translation at face value, but requires evidence from his own cc friends that they can critique the game

Tectone is bald - This is a factual statement Tectone is bald, so he looks like shit - This is a negative statement based on a fact but because it's an opinion it cannot be considered defamatory cause it's subjective Tectone is bald, because he wants to make fun of cancer patients - This is probably slander because it is a false defamatory statement but the court still has to prove there was both malicious intent and prior knowledge by the slanderer that their claim is false

Tectone just doesn't understand how criticism works. You can see how he is so insistant on saying "this character is shit" and the others saying "i wouldn't put it like that", and then he's saying they are not free to say what they want. This is because unlike him, they don't make content around being provocative and using this kind of language when discussing a character. And he can't understand that not wanting to talk like his exemple is something CC genuinely want, because that's their personnality, and they have an audience that doesn't get off on actual slander.

I'm not going to ride on hoyo's d*ck here but the only things that are truly bad about this, is, yes the unselected creators like Mtashed are a little screwed in the short run here until they get selected. (short run being maybe just this Acheron banner and maybe even Aventurine's banner) And yes the copyright striking reactions to these videos is also dumb as rocks.

Hoyo is NOT preventing CCs from saying a character is "not great". Brax and other CCs who have access to the test server have said that characters aren't good. Brax's has proof of this for Dehya and others. People SUSPECT that if you say "Hoyo is a dog sh*t company who employs slave labor" your video will not be allowed to be published. If you do publish it, you will HIGHLY LIKELY never get access to their test server again. By the way, this could count as SLANDER. slander: 1. Really dont wanna throw a shade on Tectone and Mtashed, but this video showcases why they have their reputations. First one is raging without trying to understand other parties perspective and lashes out without half of info. And other is just doomposting over and over again without even trying to calm himself down and look at a bigger picture.

I agree with Xlice. I think the Creator Experience Server is the HSR Devs way of having some kind of reign on leaks. Leaks are always happening and it ruins the game experience, but if HSR Devs can, in a way, "authorize" content creators to "leak" character kits a week in advance, then I think it's a step towards the right direction. The timing may be off, I admit. Acheron is so hyped right now and everyone wants to get a piece but since it's only available to a handful of people, it sucks, but i think it's only a phase of a greater plan to improve guide making and the player experience. I believe they do not want to cause strife between CCs. A lot of things needs to be worked on, yes, but that's the beauty of it, it CAN be worked on. HSR has only gave a ton load of great updates so far and it shouldn't be disregarded. Just a bump in the road. We all just need to be level headed. ✌️😁 #twocents

as a player, I watch multiple guide videos, because each creator has their own take. this seems to be a test to see if Hoyo can pre-empt against leakers, similar to Genshin drip marketing. Time will tell.

This is a bit harsh, but to Brax's point about very small creators getting shafted, it's not Hoyoverse's job to make content creation viable for people. Game companies don't owe content creators a living. They have to consider the realities of screening videos and screening access to the server like Pokke said, especially because they do have such an extensive issue with leaks (although honestly it shouldn't matter for this guide-related stuff, as the leaks that cause problems for the consumers are story leaks and betas don't need to have the story content available, knowing character kits is good for people so they can plan better) and if that means that smaller creators struggle, it is what it is. People who are small creators are mostly small creators for a reason. People with entertaining personalities are going to inherently end up the big creators no matter how many endarounds Hoyo puts out to tilt the scales on views. Pokke's guide could be three weeks late and I'll still be watching that over other folks I find less fun to watch.

For criticizing Hoyo, yes. For criticizing a character, yes. ABSOLUTELY. It's their CC program. Does Hoyo kick CCs off for SLANDER? Haven't seen it but it would make sense. Does Hoyo kick CCs off for criticizing Hoyo? Brax, Fob, Xlice all have criticized Hoyo and they have CC access. So NO they don't. Does Hoyo kick CCs off for criticizing a character? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Brax and Xlice have PROOF of this with Dehya, and Acheron respectively. Again, Hoyo has NO OBLIGATION to work with ANY CC. It's a partnership between a company and an independent freelance worker. EITHER side can decide to stop working with each other. That's JUST HOW BUSINESS WORKS.

Lets be real, if Tectone got selected for the same program, he would push out the content, and if anyone complained he would say "sucks to suck". Hoyo doesn't owe content creators a career and clearly, there was no preferential treatment in terms of selection. Now if the same creators were given priority every time, that would be an issue, but as things remain, it is up to the creators to innovate keep the audience engaged. I am not fan of their practice of striking the channel, that is an issue. But if they are associated with hoyoverse, then they have to follow the rules, standard NDA process, what is the point of giving a few CC exclusive access if bigger CC can post a reaction video of it. This ONE person would have full access to all pre-release servers. Hell, this ONE person could have back office access to their development team and even their game design team. EXCLUSIVE access. Funny how mostly the non-guide making HSR CCs are the ones throwing the biggest of fits--as they are the ones least affected by this. They're taking the FOMO personally. I don't know the details of how Hoyoverse decided to distribute the CES to, but it seems like they picked reliable, well-established guide-makers. Fortunately for Pokke, his content is more than just guides so he's not as affected by this. I think a certain "drama" CC needs to calm down and respect the business decision of a successful game company who know what they're doing.

Personally as a customer I love the idea of official information coming sooner, and to be completely honest I don't care if its 'fair' to all content creators or not. Ideally yes that would be great, but for me its not a deal breaker if its not.

Tectone is the embodiment of ignorance, getting offended on behalf of other people despite said people not being nearly as concerned as he is, since everyone else knows he clearly exaggerates issues like these. He's overly emotional and won't state his points clearly and then blames it on everyone else for not understanding him when he didn't make any sense the first time he stated his point. The fact that that content creators can 100% say “Don’t pull for this character for meta reasons and only pull if you really want this character” extinguishes anything related to “well hoyo wants creators to shill characters even if they’re shit” argument. What they can’t do is fabricate misinformation or straight up lies about a character to defame that character. The ONLY and I mean, ONLY takeaway here is that yes small CC’s get screwed over. Do Genshin/HSR CCs know that most of us watch multiple guides (or almost all of them from big creators)? Most of the "guide watchers" are here for the personality and the person. We're not here for the same info we've heard 6 times already, and probably seen from leaks a month before.

Even if the content creators I like to watch and enjoy come out with videos after patch drops and the banner is out, I'll still watch their videos because I care about what they have to say. I like Eggys but he is definitely overblown and painted too much prejudice on this issue that inderectly cause more harm to other CC like Brax than actually constructive opinion for Mihoyo and the community in general. But he is true that there some thing that needed to be improved by mihoyo in regards to this initiatives: 1. Mihoyo should be more transparent and clear about their initiatives and programs with their partners (in this case CC). This initiatives could avoid much less backlash if they inform their CC partner in advance whenever they are about to run such initiatives including who and why they select the selected fews to be included in this initiatives, reducing prejudice setting better communication between CC-to-CC and CC-to-Mihoyo themselves. 2. Kneejerk descision with Copystrike threat for redistribution or even a simple making reaction video to the CC partner's exclusive access should be refuted as it will only harm their own CC partner and good actor CC instead of the leakers which are their intended target. Most of these bad actors, the leakers, are use dispossable accounts to begin with, that copyright strike counter measure are never effective to begin with. Hoyo should have known this, they have tried to stop this leaks account for years and it does not work. This restrictive policy instead will affect the good actors, the normal CC that are just covering the game in good faith, negatively by creating uneceasary restriction over nothing (look at how bad Nintendo handle their community). Lastly, for CC, tbf as consumer i would say most of us do not give much of a damn about which guide video came out first. We watch certain CC guide because we like their individual presentation or their personality and opinion. On these early access type of guides, It's not the GUIDE (in the sense of opinion or general content) that people want to see, it is the initial information ABOUT THE PRODUCT that we are about to buy (this mean, characters actual stats and numbers) so we, as customer who invest our money and time, can make a more concious descision and better financial planning in regards to products that we are interested in. These early Guide video just to happen to usually contain these official informations (eg. Brax video contain his character stats and corrwsponding damage along official skill stats and eidolons), thus making these early guides on character release a tremendous advantage to the official excluaive CC. It is the official information in regards to these stats and numbers, not the content itself (selling point is the INFORMATION instead of the OPINION). Nevertheless this obviously will create an unhealthy competitive ecosystem for the CC. To prevent this issue, Mihoyo should just release official character numbers and stats earlier before their early access CC allowed to upload their guide or opinion video. This will potentially reduce unnecessary enmity and unhealthy competition, since the advantage of early access CC is only in regards to their ability to make early opinion on the characters according their test in the test server instead of being the early source of information on official stats and numbers (making selling point of everyones content back to about THEIR OPINION instead of INFORMATION they disclose). And the other hand other non partner CC can still make video guide using the officially disclosed stats that hoyo already released in advance thus reducing the disdvatage compared to the current system mihoyo have. Lastly, with earlier official information disclosure in regards to characters stats and numbers (even if it is still subject for change) will severly disincentivize players to look for leak instead. Thus will directly help mihoyo in combating what they want to combat without jeopardizing their CC partner along with other non partner CC. I believe this solution will create healthier competition and ecosystem for the community. I know no one will read this yap, but i just want to say my opinion as consumer. This early access server is 100% a direct response to leakers. They even directly addressed the problem of leakers in the last live stream. Guide makers today rely 100% on leaked data. Moving forward, CCs will do the same exact shit they did yesterday: rely on leaked data. Nothing changes. We're going to see the exact same gutter tier caliber of CC videos we see today: reactions, reactions to reactions, drama baiting, etc.

I believe we got a similar system for Honkai Impact, and it worked well.

i dont get it, why are people making a big deal out of this ? this has been the norm for Hi3rd for years now there is no such thing as honkai impact 3rd leaks, all of it is out in the open you can go to CC's like marisa honkai and you can see what hoyoverse are working on for the next 7.4 patch why is this a problem that this will now be be the same for star rail and maybe genshin as well ?
