Elsa, I went through the same thing 34 years ago. I remember as the due date got closer, the emotions were overwhelming. What I didn't know at the time was that I was already pregnant again. I had no symptoms and such an easy pregnancy, delivery, and an amazingly content baby. I felt that she was a gift and I still feel that way today. However your life goes on to be, live every moment like the blessing it is. My 3rd baby can never take the place of the baby I lost, but she did fill my lonely arms, for which I'm forever grateful. Barron, please DO continue to air your grievances with the way the government is abusing the system. It's your age group who can fight for change and maybe put up an amazing Independent Candidate that enough of you will get out and vote for on the federal level. DO get involved at your local level to vote for change close to home and then state. Thank you both for another wonderful episode. Continue to take such good care of yourselves and each other. I am 72 yrs old and I feel the same frustration as you....its hard for me to understand what's going on in our country

I’ve been a registered Independent my entire adult life, (I’m 52) ….i get it. I totally get it. Our political system is a grimy, corrupt-to-the-bone, shitshow. And the state of our country perfectly reflects that.

I don’t know the answer but I do agree there’s a problem. I’m registered as independent and I vote. But. In the last couple of decades it’s been for the lesser evil. Makes me sad. I sorta feel like if we are to change it, it starts local, then state, then region, then change.

Your subscribers respect you. You have a platform. Rant, educate and lead by example. Imo, it was refreshing to hear an honest take in real time. Thank you.

I'm turning 66 in Crazy California and I truly feel they way you do. It's gross 😢 . In the mid 1970s I thought I would not let things get to this. Now I hope my grandchildren can survive what's coming. . If it matters barren I think you said it well and if more people would speak up I think more people would be saying what you're saying.

White vinegar gets slime out of fabric, carpet, kids’ hair, etc. It works amazingly well. I’m 62 and I buy slime, it helps me focus and concentrate, reduces my anxiety. I’ve learned there is a large community of neurodivergent women who buy and use slime, it’s quite interesting actually. I buy from independent makers. Thank you for the video, it was fun as always.

Barron, I completely agree! It’s really hard for me to NOT get upset and frustrated when I’m told, but “You have a voice”…I don’t have a voice or a choice. In my 30’s I got so frustrated I would actually cry when I talked/listened/read about it…I had to shut it off for my own sanity. I don’t really know if there’s anything I can do about it…I’m 46 and still haven’t found the solution!!

Since you broached the topic of politics, I would like to throw in my two cents. We all focus on the top of the ballot, but we need to look at down ballot choices. When we allow unqualified citizens to become members of the house and senate, we make the job of president impossible to do the peoples work. The Republicans have stopped taking their position seriously and seem to just want to be in the spotlight and perform for an audience. Just like the former president, they see politics like a great big performance arena. (Now I have had my rant.) Back to the serenity of the music and the feel good parts with the doggos. Elsa, you are such an inspiring person and when you share your inner beauty via your vulnerabilities, you let us share your joys and sorrows. Seeing how you love your fur babies, you have the maternal qualities to be a great mother. Keep building yourself up physiologically for conception and growing a new living being should the probability arise. I will hold you up in good intention for the higher being.

I’ve lived in “blue” and “red” states at this point and the collective energy I get from everyone regardless of political affiliation is exhaustion & frustration. No one wants either candidate. It all feels very scary. Ultimately, I appreciate you speaking up. I actually think as a country we need to start talking to each other again. This is also hilarious to say in a RU-vid comment but I genuinely feel like people should get off the internet and go interact with people who might not think the way you do! No regular voter on the “left” or the “right” is as scary as they lead you to believe.

Couple o' tips from a barista! Breville machines are notorious for having sub-par steam wands. The hack is to slowly feed air into the milk BEFORE it gets warm! This should take longer than your average coffee shop machine, so be patient! Another good tip is to make sure you're creating a "vortex" as the milk spins, there are awesome videos out there for reference. Also, wider cups make it a whole lot easier for making art (milk is less likely to sink to the bottom). Happy coffee-making :)

Barron your words speak much truth. Our freedom to choose is gradually being taken away. I dont fear it because this world is not my eternal home. But being human i think of what this world might be for my grandchildren and great grandchildren. Being self reliant is a good thing!

I think something you both have shown too is how much community support is needed and should be encouraged. We're funneled into a capitalist lifestyle, making us think independence and competing with others is the way to success. Community is healing, important and necessary. You've built community since starting the nomad lifestyle and especially since buying the land, it's wonderful to see.

Lesser of two evils Barron 🤷🏼‍♀️ It would be more fair if money didn’t drive it. Rich people and corporations have the upper hand. Poor and middle class have little voice. I guess grassroots funding can certainly help but when your legislators are beholden to their wealthy benefactor they’re not gonna try and help the modest earners or the tens of thousands of Americans who can’t afford shelter. We need a candidate that’s willing to do whet it takes without being bribed 🤷🏼‍♀️

As a person who has not agreed with every comment you guys have made politically in your channel I would still like to encourage you to speak up. I agree that the choices we are given are awful. And not speaking up is what is hurting us. You guys have a younger crowd following you. Those are the ones that need to be educated and have their eyes opened to the faults of the current system. And maybe encourage ppl to also speak up in a non inflammatory and educated way the way Baron spoke. So thank you. It’s important to share about things we feel are important, no matter how controversial, so that others feel safe to do so as well. Thanks Barron - as an American citizen you are totally in your rights - and your responsibility -- to make your viewpoint fully known. Indeed, those citizens who sit home quietly and say nothing and then sometimes even refuse to vote because "it won't do any good" is not making our country stronger. This country will only become stronger when our Representatives and Senators are fully aware of the desires of its citizens and then use that opinion to create laws necessary to govern.

Want to also say that RU-vid is probably going to punish you for that rant, especially given your high number of subscribers, but don’t stop. All you can do is work to wake as many people up as possible. So many people are in agreement with you.

I’m 72 years old. I’ve watched our political system become more and more dysfunctional over the decades. The Citizen United decision by the Supreme Court determined corporations have the same rights as an individual. Therefore, they may contribute unlimited resources to those candidates that perpetuates their control. You’re right, both sides are complicit in a closed system. However, both sides are not the same as it relates to laws and programs that impact our lives, especially the environment! Please look closely at the platforms of each party. You may not like the system, but we must support the minimal gains we can make by supporting policies that benefit people and environment. Both sides are bad, but one is much worse than the other.

I received my copy of Normal to Nomad and am so enjoying it. It is a go to in my evening quiet time. It inspires me more than I can say just now. Certainly worth the wait. Good luck with all you do from a grateful long time subscriber.

Demoralization is the goal, and it is quite effective. Balancing awareness and action is tough, but go heavy on the "being aware side", and don't let it affect your daily life. Life goes by VERY FAST if you get caught up in the social media frenzy.

I hear you Barron. Feeling as you feel for a long time now. I've been discussing this problem and expressing that the solution is to end voting for ppl and start voting for what use to be a Platform. My definition of a Platform is this : first, you gather from every Voter a list of 20 tasks/problems to solve. (Voters would receive education regarding what Federal government CAN actually do as in responsibilities. This would be required since 95% of Voters today do NOT know or understand what are within the President and Federal agencies preview.). Second, the data, the 20 Tasks/problems that each Voter submitted would be collated and then posted back to the Public as a comprehensive list that reflects what the Public needs or wants dealt with from most support to least. Third, that new comprehensive list would now provide the fodder for the final phase in creating the Platform, which is taking the top 100(?) most supported tasks/problems and asking every Voter to select and Prioritize highest to lowest, from this new list, the top 20 items on it they want to be focused on in the coming Presidential Term. Fourth, that final process would lead to the building of a Platform that is most aligned with what the majority of Voters need/want resolved/handled by the person tasked with leading the Federal Government in providing for the people of this country at that level of governance. Fifth, anyone who wants the position of President MUST do at very least 2 things. One, AGREE to handle everyone of those 20 tasks/problems and do a good job of it during their Term. Two, they MUST submit Educational documents that provide proof that they received knowledge pertinent and practical to doing the work and they MUST supply work history that demonstrated their ability to do the work and do it very well. I've been having discussions about how broken this stupid 2 party system is for over 20yrs now. And my concept for a far better solution has always been based on voting for what needs to be done as the most important thing that needs to be determined. Only then can HIRING someone who can actually DO the tasks of the job of President be competently handled.

Those that have such respect and appreciation for what Barron and Elsa have accomplished- on their own - with their community- know less government is better than more. Our government is extraordinarily large, in debt and far too focused on foreign policy instead of our country’s needs.

I have a friend that lost her baby and a few of us got together and had a small gathering to celebrate her and to acknowledge the due date. And…thank you for speaking on these subject. So many go through it alone and it seems they don’t heal mentally well. It’s something that needs discussing so grief can heal properly. Don’t even get me started on our politics and the two party system of BS!!! Good for you for not being afraid to speak what you think. So many RU-vid channels won’t in fear of losing subscribers. I appreciate the honesty and give you much respect for that.

Love your espresso maker! ☕ As a barista, I understand the difficulty of latte art, there is definitely a technique to it. Big espresso machines have a lot of pressure to create the small bubbles found in milk froth/crema. The smaller machines are wonderful for making espresso at home and it can be tricky to achieve the same milk texture. Although difficult don't be discouraged! If you end up with a white circle of milk foam in the centre of your drink, you can always drag a tooth pick through the middle and make a heart! ❤ Love your videos!

Advocating for ranked choice voting at the local and state level is something that is so important and can actually make an impact in elections by allowing people to feel safe voting for third party candidates. Something to keep in mind, is that while yes, both parties in my mind are pretty shit when it comes to foreign policy and tax/economic funding policies, only one party is actively attacking the basic human rights of people like me, women, poc, and lgbt. Because of this, it is a dangerous sentiment to share to generalize both parties are being "equally" bad in all aspects, and refusing to participate in our current system.

You have to vote in smaller elections more! Waiting for presidential will just frustrate. You HAVE to vote locally more and push more for local change And in Colorado register unaffiliated fur federal to have access to more than just one ballot. And fight against making your politics your identity. Keep them separated. Vote your conscience and your choice but maintain that your "side" is your own side of 1 person not a party.
