Back then you just started the game and had no idead of anything , just played the game and did whatever you like , no planing , no tryharding to get the best xp/h , no stress , just playing and having fun and chilling at the ge and making new friends....nowadays its all about most efficient way to get the most xp as fast as possible and only showing off with all your phats and pets and 120 capes
I kinda felt the same way when i quit earlier this year after a good 3 month binge. Im like 2/3 of the way to maxing and it just gets so grindy and boring. Then seeing hundreds of other players with billions of exp running around with super expensive gear/dyes just made it feel so pointless. All that time i spent couldve been on other stuff but whatever it was kinda fun for a bit.
Running around maxed/comped with high end gear is boring dude. You should not give up on a game if other people are more experienced or rich and whatever the game you play is "waste of time" but what in this world is not? watching a game from tv? twitch? If you enjoy gaming or watching sports, its never waste of time. Its "you time" my friend.
I also recommend NOT skipping quest dialogue. The quests are really well written. Especially the newer ones. Get yourself used to the lore of the game world.
having a member plan is really important! my plan: 1. Smith Orikalkum & Necronium Armors (Smithing lvl 60) 2. Build my House (already stocked a lot of materials to use) 3. Train Herblore, definitely going to test the op potions 4. In General get all skills to at least lvl 50 to boost my overall sum
Btw idk you know but I do have a Discord you can join and you could share your videos in a seperate chat channel if u wish (link is in description if curious)
LOL dude the clan you clicked on is the one I'm in. The Tavern is a great clan, and we like having new faces. Shout out to any Taverneers who see this post!
Im about to finish all f2p content, and im pretty excited about buying mem in a few hours :), so what would you reccomend doing right away, after getting mem? Quest grinding like you said in the video, or maybe grinding slayer or other skills?
im a returning player, what i learnt (the hard way from wasting mems) is do slayer quest farm runs train skills u need to like herblore for ovls then elite dung for combat and dung
Very cool, and you responded. I played in 2002-2006 with alot of friends, but took a break. I tried to log back in years later and apparently i was hacked. So im just slowly jumping back into the game. I like your video content, is there a way i can donate to your channel? I want you to see your time and effort is appreciated.
@@cornelliouspollard6061 Ahhh so you're a real veteran! also in terms of donations i've only "taken" super-chats and in-game gp donations from the few people that came to me just like to to donate. So I don't really have a donation thing for you but I might set that up in the future (some kind of paypal account or whatever.) Thanks anyway tho :D I recommend joining my discord server if you are a returning player for help and such, and I can give you some tips in there personally if you'd like .discord.gg/DhfDxJu
You know what, after probably about 10-11 requests in the past month I just made a paypal account for this reason. but again be sure to join my discord! www.paypal.me/protoxxgaming
Relaxing? That's a thing I've not seen too often, if not ever in my comments. Interesting :D Is there anything specefic that make my videos relaxing? Freecam movement?
@@ProtoxxGaming I use ur vids to help me sleep sometimes lol (not saying you are boring or anything, I meant it in a good way). It is probably the calm voice along with the nice scenery/gameplay you show in the background. Good job :)
Look up ASMR. You should make a seperate YT channel for ASMR alone. I could fall asleep to your voice as well. (No homo, it's a response signal to the brain that helps in relaxation or comfort.)
@@icedcuo1229 I listen to ASMR from time to time as well, it's awesome to hear that people mention what you said about my voice :D. Who knows, I might make a seperate channel :P
Actually i would suggest first time members just enjoying membership! That way they will be motivated to get it again and again until they are self-sustaining
I agree with all points, but the last as guide culture seems to be running RS. There are many guides out that promote to focus on performance and efficiency measures. With this framework, players seldom quest and many don't even know how to handle new content as they are so ingrained into the guide.
Efficiency is part of Runescape tho? D: I mean that's not the guides fault tho, more the player focusing 100% on the video or just the rs youtube guide community brainwashing everyone by telling them to 100% follow a guide? I'm unsure what you mean ahaha, could you go into detail?
@Shoudday Cha @Protoxxgaming Calcifying my stance, I agree with cha, for the sake of efficiency, I feel players do not tool the guides' information to their play style rather they tool their play style to the guide. During their podcast, Mods Kylar, Shauny and Poerkie spoke about the lack of quests done by players and how this made the quest point shop so critical to the game. I suspect this is a results of players never experiencing the game's full potential i.e. quests, events, and expansions as a natural harmonic of their play style. The natural harmonic is a way of consuming game content such that a player can experience it and avoid the burnout of monotony. It follows my post to your slayer guide, when I said that players should look at the slayer skill in a more global sense guiding their slayer via the loot tab over xp gains.
@@JonathanMahadeo I agree with both the comments you guys posted. I really don't know what else to say here really. Apart from that the quest point shop is indeed a very critical update that will make players quest or at least feel the need to.
now that you mention video guides, I found a ton of videos how to get the 5 part mask from Lumbridge catacombs. but I actually wanna remove the damn thing. I equipped and unequipped it, I even got rid of it, but it is still on my head visually. It is not there in the head slot, not even in the backpack but I still look like wearing it and I just cannot remove it from my ingame face. what to do (non-member player)? thanks a lot
The exact same thing happend to me on my new account, and u will get rid of it if u go to Varrock and do a customization on your character. Worked for me. (y)
I would not recommend invention. And also priff reqs. Grind combat stats, grind slayer, alot, when i mean alot i mean ALOT. This strat is a membership sustain plan. Thats what i did. I got to 75 slayer to kill gargoyles and i hard grinded these fuckers for gp , if i had enough for a bond i would save up gp for better gear. I did all of this with 70+ combat stats. 50+ is good but I'd rather play it safe and quick.
Why not just tell them try to explore runescape see all the places and unlock most of the loanstone? You can just relax in the game and see what the game can afford you. Like you can do stuff with friends, leveling skilling with people around you (if there is people) talk to them, We all know as a low level you can not make your bond back within 14 days if you are no on rs3 all day. If you are than good job. most of the people have things in their life so making bonds back will be very hard as low level. You can get the most out of the bond if you dont try remaking the money back to get another bond. So, as a new member you will struggle getting membership again. I would say merch until you have 4-6 bonds or more bonds if you want and then play as member. because you would not know the area in member zone. I've been playing for 16 years. So, try to have fun as member or you will be tired out and dont want to play runescape anymore.
I got one month of members from the twitch prime deal. I’m finding myself play more than when I was f2p. But I don’t make enough money to be getting bonds because in game.... rip wallet😭
So I've been seeing everywhere and even in this vid he said warbands can get you 300k+ xp in 10 minutes. Can someone tell me how? Everytime I do warbands I only get 15k, am I doing something wrong?
friend made me try rs3, after a while in f2p he asked if i wanted a bond from him bcs i liked the game. I said sure and also asked what skill is not usually the one people get to 99 or max first, he said invention and i was like ok ill max invention 1st. Its confusing but i like it.
Because some people dont have the opportunity to spend 120 a year on a game, or they feel that they shouldn't have to continuously spend money on a subscription for a game, and lastly some people like the challenge of not paying for the game, ie: me, been playing for like 12 years now and I've never spent a penny, not because i feel its not worth it or too much, just sort of a challenge
farm your bonds so you never have to pay for the game again let the rich well off people cheat there way to the top.. not like us old timers thats played the game the hard way
Any tips on this? At what point can you be able to farm enough for bonds? I feel like I am a very long way away to be able to make 20m every two weeks or less
currently you can be banned for being online to long :'3 even when you are talking to people do random things instead of just 1 thing and are very active xD
"also known as zamorak" nah zamorak is his own person... pet peeve of mine >..> if you say zammy general sure. but not zammy himself xD same with bandos and graardor etc. please >..
