I'd say your points are on point. Personally I'll buy anything as long as it hasn't been swamped and it's at the right price. I strip them down and clean every single part then spray rust check through the frame then I hook up an undercoating gun to a 1/4 inch hose and spray inside all the frame tubes with black rustoleum. I do it to every single unit I buy hate cracked frames and rust. I'm in Alberta so it's all peanut butter mud, riding muskeg or mountain trails. Glad I don't have to deal with the Florida salt. But our trucks here are killed from road salt.

Check oil bolt pepole strip them out and jerry rig also check frames I’ve seen cracked frames people trying to be slick and not mention

4800 is high miles? That’s average for my area. Lots of machines have 10000 or more here. Brand doesn’t matter.
