Hi everyone, Moving to Dallas, Texas can be an exciting experience! Here are some things you should know before you make the move:
Weather: Dallas has hot summers, with temperatures often reaching the 90s. Winters tend to be mild, but it can get cold at night. It’s important to prepare for all types of weather when moving to Dallas.

I’m with you on living North of Dallas. Traffic is crazy! I’ve been here going on 5 years also, I first lived in Arlington and traffic was terrible. I’m moving near The Colony next month 🎉 I don’t think you necessarily need a degree for jobs, just need to know your worth and knowledge when it comes to pay. Plano,Texas is in top cities of highest paying jobs btw.

Hard 8 BBQ in coppell. You see the smoke before you get to the restaurant. You literally walk through the smoke pit area and pick out your meats. Ribs, brisket, sausage etc. my fav is the bacon wrapped jalapeño shrimp. After picking your meats you go inside and pick your sides ( including salad bar) and desserts. Best bbq I’ve found this far in texas and that’s saying a lot

I do agree about the apartment thing. Been in Dallas a while n one thing i will warn ppl is that like the young lady said, visiting these apartments in person is a must. For whatever reason dallas has a lot of apartments that may look nice but when you go there in person especially at night you realize they are extremely dangerous. Even in some of the suburbs

I love your videos. I moved to Dallas January of 2017 and it snowed on my moving day. When I moved there, my life took off for the better. I moved back home due to a family illness, stayed only two years and came right back to Texas. I never thought I would leave Dallas. In Houston now because it's a closer drive home when I need to visit family back home. However, needless to say, I'm moving right back to Dallas! Houston is NOT for me.

How is the diversity in Dallas? Just concerned about racism especially for children.

@@jewels8527 as a woman of color, I've had no issues. Of course, racism is something that you can encounter anywhere. However, I've found people in Dallas to be friendly. I've just moved back and my neighborhood is very diverse. So far, our neighbors have been very welcoming and friendly. Houston was another story.

Dallas is like a urban northeast and Nashville is a up and coming Metro. Dallas is huge I repeat Dallas is huge

I lived in Dalllas 2016-2020 and nashville 2020- 2022 for grad school. Cost of living is comparable in both cities and of course its only went up in recent years.Nashville is much smaller but its cute. If you like having more options for outdoor activities like hiking and you like the mountains, definitely nashville. IMO Dallas is a better city because its larger and has alot to offer for everyone. Both have diversity but Dallas is better in this way.

The biggest reason to move to Dallas is because the people are nice and kind and it's not so stressful. No bullies or jerks there. Compare it to Phoenix where people are always rude and mean.

Both my kids moved to TX from CA. As well as my Bestie and many of my high school friends. All of them complain about the Mexican food that TX has compared to CA. They warned me when I come to visit that I would be disappointed with any Mexican food I had. They weren't wrong. It was nasty!! Yes, Tex- mex is different than Mexican. But even the Tex- mex was grose. Everytime they come to CA to visit the first place they want to go eat is our Mexican restaurants. I even ship them the taco sauce packets from the local fast food restaurants...lol now that I'm looking at moving near them I'm freaking out knowing Mexican food is my fav food. Thankfully I can cook it! My boys will be happy mom will be closer to get CA tasting Mexican food.

Don't worry. There are several authentic Mexican restaurants in the city.A lot of gas stations also sell the real stuff. I'm sure you can find what you're looking for.
