My wife divorced me... blamed my "classical guitar"... she didn't like me 'sitting on my ass playing guitar all day" so she went out and got me a gig thinking I suck and no one would like it and I would quit from embarrassment but people liked it and I got hired for weddings over and over so I had to "sit on my ass playing guitar all day" even more to not embarrass my self every time.
@@digitalsketchguy My wife walked off with one of my duo partners whose name was Walker who while walking home from Brews and Blues Festival Bluzapalosa across the road to get more beer from me in the convivence store I worked was struck by a car going in through the front windshield to his shoulders and out again on to the road. The driver attempted to drag him off the road by his shoulders on to the shoulder when he was run over again by a vehicle passing the wreck and a stopped transit bus on the shoulder who didn't stop. I can go on and on.... with redundant morbidity... the tragic sexploits of my ex.
I was waiting for "Play Malagueña, man!" Lucas, your ability to keep all these songs in your repertoire, play them so well, and still find time to make great entertaining videos is amazing.
At least the guy that wants to jam is friendly! "You're flexing" drives me up a wall! It does not matter if the music is fast or slow! It only matters if it is melodic and musical! If it is fast and melodic, it is good! If it is slow and melodic, it is good! Beethoven played piano both slow and fast, and his music was amazing!
Depends on the piece of work you're trying to use. Usually it's the owner of the work, such as the music artist or person who designed it. For classical music, you couldn't really ask anyone apart from official music licensing companies within your country. They would tell you when the copyright ends, and that is when anyone can use it without crediting.
"i played violin when I was a kid so i should be good at guitar right?" "You acoustic play guitar? That's not homeless people on the beaches do?" "Man that guitar is so boring, have you considered switching to electric?" "Man how do you do that? I played guitar once and the strings were hurting my fingers" "Why don't you use a pick? Metallica's guitarist uses a pick and he's the greatest, shouldn't you use one as well?" "Hey why do you spend so many time rotating those weird things at the end of the guitar? Nothing seems to change" "Hey can you play that one from Mozart the aaaaa... Nanana na na. Nanana na na. Nanana nanana nanana na. Da ra ta-ta-ta-ta ta-ta-ta-ta ta-ta-ta-ta taaaa"
"How do you know where to put your fingers though?" "I can't play guitar because I have small hands" "I can't play guitar because my fingers don't stretch that wide"
The one thing i hate is when I'm playing the guitar, kids will always find a way to interrupt you (Strum randomly on the guitar really hard, Put their hand on the strings muting it, "Yo Hold a chord for me and I'll strum"). Completely unrelated to the video.
Flash back to one of my worst memories, alone in a local Cafe with my guitar in a corner, friend's left the place to go pick up other friends. I was alone and started playing, a 5-6 yr old came did all that. I stopped playing but he kept touching me, no idea how to handle that and then he just flat out spits on me, my hand just instinctively went for his shoulders and no, kid starts wailing real loud turns out the people at that place were having relatives as visitors, so yeah surrounded by threatening people who all thought I was hurting the kid. -_- *shivers*
I’m a female guitarist, and my bf started learning guitar at the same time I did, but he didn’t love it like I did and stopped playing pretty quick. I can’t believeeeeee someone would have the audacity to say ‘me or the guitar’🙄 he doesn’t play, but he loves that I do, and other guys/gals should respect their SO’s love of music☺️🌟
@Abel Ayon I didn’t say I was a GOOD guitarist🤣🤣🤣 I cant even play a bar chord😅 I also went through an experience with guitar that traumatized me a little bit. I then put down my guitar and didn’t touch it again for months. I’m only just now picking it back up and trying to get better🙂
Once someone said to me: "Do you have perfect pitch? I have an uncle who have perfect pitch who said I talk in B minor" She was so happy for it, I couldn't deny it
Nobody understands the unique struggle of learning to play guitar. You start being unable to make a sound and with raw and hurting fingertips. And then you progress fast for a year. After two years no non-musician will even see your progress. To them, even tho you are playing a difficult af piece, you are just pulling the strings all the same.
You pretty much covered it all but I've been playing for 60 year and one night many decades ago we were playing at a new club, pretty much uncharted territory. Now these were the good old day when all the bars were still smoky. The place had a stage and right in the middle of playing my guitar singing a song this DRUNK DUDE walks up on the stage. He comes over to me, puts his arm on my shoulder and yells " Hey dude I'm going to sing the next song. OK?" I'm looking over at the Bass Player with a look of now what. He has no idea what's going on because he can't hear the guy. Not knowing what to do I just kept singing and luckily he just wandered off the stage quietly. No I don't miss playing out. Well maybe a little. Next time I'll tell you the story about playing in Berkley California and the guy with the hand cuffs. See all the fun stuff you missed?
Or the guy that wants to sing, don't know the words and Drunk hanging on to you !…LOL !! or brags to everyone " this guy is GOOD!..then in the middle of every song, Hey man i bet you can't play "such n such" ..ah, good times LOL!
I don’t really watch any music youtubers, but I really like your videos. Genuine, nice and not flooded with memes and jokes. I play bass and your playing inspires me to learn acoustic as well. Much love!
I’m not kidding, I matched with someone on Bumble, they asked if I can play wonderwall after my profile showed me playing Iron Maiden, I instantly unmatched them.
I have more... "Why don't you use a pick on that acoustic guitar? It'd sound better" "Can you play Despacito?" "Which APP do you use to tune it?" "You peaked like 5 years ago. It still sounds fine, I guess..."
It also exercises all areas of your brain unlike anything else so it enhances other areas of your life significantly The gf might as well ask you to stop being healthy.
There is a pleasantly dark tone to these skits Lucas. Nice one. Incidentally I went to see The Eels in Vicar St. in Dublin in 2005 and after the gig I got chatting to the guitarist Chet outside the venue having a smoke and I asked him in all sincerity "Are you making an okay living out of this?". I realise in retrospect this was a very crass thing to ask.
non music parents:go do your homework,stop waching youtube,you're become a engineer,(learned a new music)so what,just learn the chords and sing(i hate sing while playing 3 chords,your (cheap) guitar is making a sound it's enough(it's estactly 40 dollar guitar: /),play something i know,you don't need a teacher. sorry my english is bad . . .
Man, he is sooo damn right. 😂😂I am telling this as a guitarist myself. It hurts you know when people who don’t know any music say shit about us. I never played in any concerts or out of my room. It’s sooo irritating ! Even our family members say shit about us. 😂😂This is our life 😂😂
