"HOME BREW" SAVE MONEY! Works great for Airbrushes and Brushes, and the thinner can thin any acrylic paint. This is very feasible for everyone and all products are all very easily accessible. This theory allows you to buy more paint!! This works for hobby acrylic paints such as Citadel, Tamiya, Vallejo, Testors Acryl to name some popular brands.

You can start with alcohol, water & glycerin first, then add the Windex. You won't get bubbles that way. I got this recipe from somewhere else & use 90% alcohol. Works fine. Glycerin is also used in baking. Audio goes in & out.

You can use an alcohol calculator so you can add water to know 99% and bring it down to 70%. IPA quite expensive here in Australia could I use methylated spirits aka denatured alcohol? I heard you can make flow improve over from dishwashing rinse aid. 3mls to 1 litre of water. Cheers Graham

I'm confused, For the extender, I think you're using the 70% alcohol and mix it 50/50 with a distilled water. Doesn't that make the alcohol lower than 50%?

Yes,it's right around 35% then. If you were using the 99% it's be almost 50% after diluting it.

You want your alcohol at least 90% or higher, both the water and alcohol break up and thin paint, it isn't really like a purity thing.

Cant you just substitute the alcohol and glycerin with hand sanitizer since that is what its made of oh and water also?

99% IPA evaporates much faster than 70%, so the product remains on a surface longer, is better for disinfecting Great via, thanks

blue is stronger and purple is lighter and used to clean the blue off. I spray in my garage and dont always goto the sink so this helps me stay longer on one project just using multiple cleaners right ay my desk.

@Bassam Siblini Hello my friend, I would try a little bit first. Never hurts to try it on the side first with a small sample. Also, depends what brand paint and chemicals you use. Test first. Welcome!

Why do you need a second cleaner to remove the ammonia? Couldn't you just flush it with water to remove the ammonia left in the airbrush after the first cleaner? I've not seen anyone do a 2 part wash before, and want to understand it a bit better. Thanks! (also, wanted to add that the name of the sheet required for all of these is a MSDS...Manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet)

Thanks for the input. Ultimately its just to be different. It could be also to insure a proper cleaning of the ammonia before a water flushing. I personally do it this in my garage so I don't use running water like others may have access to. This gives me a piece of mind at least minimal ammonia is remaining before splashing h2o at it. I use little squigy bottles and keep everything contained in a little bubble so I am not moving all over during a paint sesh. I have used a tap before and makes a world of difference lol .

some areas have "heavy" water or more minerals in it. That wouldn't be good to add extra minerals, solids into the paint/cleaner. Check your area to make sure

can i use 90 grade PINK denaturate alcol instead of transparent iso 91 for both CLEANER & THINNER? Will the pink contaminate the acrilic color in the thinner case? Thanks

You would have to test it to get your own best results. That way you know what brands work where.

In my opinion 70% is the best. 99% is pure, and 70% is diluted with 30% water, which again is actually stronger than 99%.

In reference to making the cleaner I would stick the 99%. If you only have 70% its no problem, just add 30% less water to your formula.

@@surerockco.models3452 So, by using the 99% ISO plus the amount of water and Windex you used, are you essentially diluting the ISO to 70%? I think I may be missing a key point somewhere.
