Tip for cleaner edges on the paint masks. After you tape it up use a ballpoint pen or other pointy object to run along the edges to ensure they are firmly attached. This will prevent the paint bleed and give you a nice professional clean boundary between the different colors.

@@ZachsTechTurf I just hope that next year Nvidia and AMD will launch some 75W/Pcie dGPU with Single Slot/Half Height based on this new generation. The GTX 1650 is too obsolete to consider for most people. The RX 6400 is simply flawed. And the RTX A2000 is too niche and overpriced. It would be fun picking up some SFF OEM Office PCs, maybe ones that have a Zen1 CPU. They're pretty decent even by today's standards, they might not be as fast as Intel-6th in single-core performance, but they can easily be bumped up to a modern 8core CPU. And if we're able to update the BIOS, we can shuck-in a much better Zen2 or Zen3 CPU. The current era of picking up Intel-6th based Office PCs isn't great, since most of them still rely on DDR3 RAM, and the dGPU options are pretty limited. But we had a decent run since 2010 to 2017, where these Little PCs were going pound-for-pound against Home Consoles. And while it's tempting to get a MiniPC like a NUC based on the AMD r7-6800(U/S/H/X) they're not upgradeable and they're all overpriced.

Its a good pc for the price and definitely a good starter pc. I can’t believe you got 16gb of ddr4 in there nice find!! The only problem i can see is the straight quadcore is killing your 1% lows. This can be felt in noticeable stuttering especially in fortnite. If I had to pick something for a similar price I would try to get an i7-4770 its only ddr3 but the hyper threading really helps smooth things out. Obviously a 6th gen i7 would be yhe most ideal but last I checked those were still pretty expensive

You can still stick a bigger graphics card in by cutting the case, just tape around the cut edges so the back of the gpu doesn't short lol
@piersonm5574
@piersonm5574 Год назад
Might even improve performance a tiny bit since the gpu can pull in a little air from outside the case. You can also cut a slit in the case and pass a riser cable through it, and just have your gpu sitting outside the case if you really don't care about asthetics

There's no 1650 lp anywhere on the internet for $100. They are normally $160-$200 as I've been keeping an eye out for a cheap one for ages

I spent ~200 USD on a pc following a similar build path before seeing this and only managed an i5-2400 and a 1050ti. Hats off to this guy.

Are you able to play the latest games in 2022?
@volgar2045
@volgar2045 Год назад
@@MisterUrbanWorld That kind of dirt cheap pc can still surprisingly run the majority of games at minimum settings, where it really fell short was its HDD loading times and heavily used processor.
@MisterUrbanWorld
@MisterUrbanWorld Год назад
@@volgar2045 The reason I asked is because I gave my friend a similar set up 4-5 years ago due to not being able to afford the latest consoles/pc. He has missed out on the last 2 generations, so I was hoping to gift him games to play this holiday season. He's still kind of new to pc gaming, but he mainly plays retro, fighters, horror, adventure games, so not too demanding.
@volgar2045
@volgar2045 Год назад
@@MisterUrbanWorld Yeah for sure it should be able to run those, I was able to run apex legends on a pretty consistent 60fps. If he were to get an upgrade it would make the most sense to get an ssd to improve some of the loading times. Some emulators like bluestacks sort of require you to enable "virtualisation" in your motherboard, which older ones might not be able to do.

I'm glad people are still doing these up-cycle builds. Tired of the "we're doing a budget build today, and we are limiting ourselves to only $3000, so unfortunately it won't be able to do 4k 120hz with ray tracing" 🤷

I built this with a used RX 6400. My total price was only $142. It can play and capture in HD. I'm actually impressed. 32gb of ddr4 ram, 500gb Sata, i7-8700

Whoever got it from his shop was lucky af. They got it for only $125. Damn.
