That was so fun and amazing with everyone suggesting different things and it was one viewer who caught that one little glimmer of hope that ended up working for this. I cut a LOT out of this review because I wanted it to be under an hour but there is a lot of content within this video so I really do hope you enjoy this one. I guess if its going to be reading text on paper, it has to be able to account for different paper types, colours and fonts etc. So it kinda makes sense that it has a half decent camera.
Usually, I would Not take a hour to watch a video about a pen translator. But you my friend take your time and being so thorough. Make it very interesting. TY!
for me it looks like a blood glucose meter. which incidentally also can sometimes look like a pregnancy tester. in any case you have certainly shed some light on a seriously oddball device. Never knew android translation pens existed until I saw your vid. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely brilliant. I was hooked on the Mad Hacks stream last week. So I was looking forward to seeing what you would be able to do. So yes a bit gobsmacked by its capabilities. Even the photos were OK for its size. I had tried to see how to donate, but couldn't find any way via RU-vid app. But I watch the adverts in full if it pays you better. Lol I do dig your sense of humour. ❤
Yeah, living life through the power of Mad Hax :) It is definitely a cool device, I might buy another one just to see how well it goes. And also thank you your support! You don't need to donate at all and you don't have to watch the ads (you can use... alternatives lol). The main thing is that folks are getting entertainment from these cheapo devices :)
I honestly love your videos Man. Keep up your work. Especially the iwish series, I watch them all the time and sometimes I put them on as RU-vid videos to fall asleep to💯💯
By the way I just started my first job and this clock in thing I have you can either have a code or facial recognition and I see a keyboard on there and it looks like it runs a old version of Android 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
You should get a samsung/smart fridge (could be off wish, alien press, etc.) and do a normal video on it. Now of course you can't do a camera test (last time I checked, you cannot pick up a fridge) and play around with it. Just a video idea. Smorrez if you see this and take it into consideration, please heart. Thanks.
amazing i can't believe welcome did a good device with the 6580! i mean it could be useful to translate or be used as a emergency device (kind of) if you are bold enough lol. the camera is good, i really liked some shots, and overall was reasonable. 7/10, good job welcome, good job.
That was actually a really cool video. If you could find similar android tech to mod, I'd definitely watch it. I also wonder if you got the password for the main account, if it would be a different set of apps than the new user? (Maybe I'm just thinking of actual Linux user accounts, and not Android alone. lol. I don't even remember.)
Lol what a wild ride! ...and what an interesting device. A slightly higher quality than most things like it, as this pen actually has a semi practical use.
Enjoyed this video a lot, I did. That commenter's name you can't pronounce, run through the translator pen it must. On a serious note; before Essential Phone went under they were developing a weird TV remote looking Android device/phone/thing. It wasn't a translator pen; but, that's the first thing that came to my mind when you unboxed this. The second was a glucose meter for diabetes.
LMAO That Chinese assistant app is great. You said "shut up" and it found a song named Shut Up and started playing it. I heard something about Alibaba when it was responding to "hello", so I'm not sure if that's who made it, or if it had found a product listing on Alibaba that had "hello" in it, or if it misheard "hello" as some Chinese phrase. Listening to it again I think you may have told it to call you "hello", which it transliterated into Chinese and will now use as your name.
If you can root it, there are some hacks you can do to system files to enable USB-OTG on some devices. That could make it useful as a low powered network appliance
I'm pretty sure you could use "wm size" in an adb shell to make the screen run in a different resolution and downscale it to the actual screen so you could start gta:sa on this thing :D (and also get a more sane aspect ratio)
You actually could have played GTA San Andreas on this. You just had to connect the bluetooth controller and press A on the login menu and it would have worked. I do it all the time when I play San Andreas on my phone because I'm too lazy to login. And the controller you are using is the same as mine too.
For the price it actually works very well, I was expecting it to mess up every sentence but it was almost perfect. Does it work offline with internal dictionaries or does it just use baidu/google translate etc online?
Yeah so for chinese, japanese and some other languages it works offline completely fine. Sometimes it can be a bit hit or miss but works most of the time.
SMOOREZ, the aspect ratio of the screen is 160:43, or 1600:430. The video closest to that aspect ratio that I know of is Bloc Party's music video for their song Hunting For Witches, with the aspect ratio of 33:10, or 1419:430. Can you try playing the music video on the pen so we can see what it looks like on it? Here's the music video link : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ricNlu0B1Wg.htmlsi=7qOh3bQhkFJqihiY Keep Up The Good Work! 👍
Pls do a vid on breaking an Alexa show, it runs android and I really wanna break mine however I can't find a tutorial or even basic video on how to do it
