THIS BLOWS! Flywoo Explorer LR heavy wind Test 

I bought the explorer as my first quad and it's great. You hit a home run with your design and now every company is scrambling to copy it.

I have had no issues flying mine and heavy wind. I find it performs rather admirably.

Thanks for the video - I was curious about the wind handling. Can you explain to me where to wire the plug for my naked go Pro? If you have a photo that would be great too

For the Micro Long Range, I definitely prefer bi blades in stronger winds, for their reduced drag.

i did the same thing yesturday got to my spot very windy so tryed the flywoo as id seen nurks vid and it wasnt great but i could keep it in the air and under control nice vid dave

My rule of thumb has always been .. Top speed minus wind speed does that come out to 15mph or faster.. Some my small ones.. ill be at 45° angle at a hover haha 😄

Seems like a versatile quad! Is it possible to fly it on a 18650 pack with AUW less than 250g?

Hey great video man, I watch to the end which brings me to a question. How do you get such good reception in your goggles. I have the E-MAXX buzz freestyle. I'm using fatshark Scout goggles and I have two of the same lollipop three antennas and I'm good for about three football fields, if I stay up high. Is there something you can suggest to help get longer fpv signal range ? Thank you for your time I just subbed up as well.👍👍

I had mine out in 15 to 25mph winds before a storm. Did fine. Just was slow getting out. But when I turned to come back it was doing 30mph pretty much level lmao. Been windy everytime I've been out except yesterday

Looking at building your 5in frame just got my quote from the machine place you said to contact for the frame wondering if you have ever ran INAV on that LR or the 4in with the fly woo fc/esc/vtx stack and how it did or does?

Hi Dave just ordered my Flywoo explorer just wondering if there was any other reason than weight to put an XT30 on ...most of my battery’s are XT60 so thinking about swapping it out ... love your work Cheers Phil

The 2750kv motor is hard to come by. Would the 3750kv motor, or any 1404 motor, be a good replacement?

Would a 250 gram limit be much different? Many in the US bought the LR Micro for that gram limit.

What FPV goggles are you using and how are they?

Thanks for the video! I noticed you have the amp draw in the lower left corner I have the explorer lr with the caddx vista and don't have amp draw is that only for the analog version?

Do you think that using the included stability arm braces will help out any during high wind flights?

I recently crashed this qwad and immediately had terrible vtx reception. Like I can only fly about 200ft away before it goes out completely. I've triple checked the channel and power settings, and replaced the antenna. Anyone have suggestions? UPDATE: It was the antenna! replaced it and instantly better reception.

Previously exclusively flew lion with this quad, but it's not doing it justice. It flies about as bad in poor wind conditions as it does with perfect weather. Absolute opposite is true with lipo.

Man was so hyped for this quad but you shouldn't have worked with Flywoo on this maybe...taking forever for the order and I see money people have the same problem. They seem to have a huge backlog and not enough resources to cover the orders unfortunately.

Bug problem with TARSIER dvr version GPS don't working and Bug problem with dji nebula or vista hd version uart problem...why flywoo don't working for test flywoo explorer LR4 ? Why??? Sorry but not happy because one week working for truying resolve this ! And you don't answer serious message ...

Wind is fun when flying LOS ;)

At some point that's cheating :) Using such a heavy battery, that weights more than the quad itself improves wind stability by a lot. Use next time a common size for this quad, like 4S 650, so that it's under 250g. It will behave way different in wind.
