Yeah not sure why eye of another world is being used here instead of assembler unless you have armour with bad stats. Seems like assembler is a much better synergy.
@@nullpointer5603 especially with ember of benevolence on solar! You just get ability energy for free! I would also use the exotic glaive for the healing turret for even more ability uptime while being able to use ember of empyrean to extend any restoration and radiant I get, but you lose out on lumina's damage buff, so it's up to preferences there
I got boots of the assembler yesterday so made a lumina build. Similar to this, it was very fun and worked. Definitely a different style of gameplay. What I commonly found during my half dozen runs of the coil is that it’s a support build. If I got lesser team mates, it was an absolute struggle.
for the catalyst i'd highly recommend going to the moon and doing altars of sorrow, i did this however long ago when the catalyst was introduced and got it done in probably 10-15 minutes
Could probably do the Blind Well in the Dreaming City since it's part of the seasonal theme. Might have better chance of other players being present, at least right now.
yeah i agree blind well is a really good idea as well, i'd just recommend altars of sorrow more cause there's usually 4-5 people there just farming kills and stuff for catalysts @@hereticnasom
I run a medic build and i run it with the boots of assembler instead. If you think about it, eoaw isn’t necessary due to the constant uptime of your abilities bc of ember of benevolence. I just sit in the back with lumina, spam constant rifts, blessing of the sky, and Healing Projectiles from the back. I’m not saying this build is bad, but you should try boots trust me :)
Boots of assembler is definitely the way to go imo. You get free noble rounds for staying in your own rift, on top of the seekers thay go out and heal. Arguable that the mobility is more helpful with not running the boots, but thats about the only negative I see.
As someone who started watching you with the mac-stache, it feels really uncanny seeing you as smooth as a titan's brain, but I can see myself getting used to it. Great video as always!
As a lumina main, i find its better to use a heavy weapon that can better be used over a long period of time with good ammo economy, such as a machine gun, alongside a special with either utility(disorienting launcher) or a high damage profile weapon(a sniper rifle or a regular launcher). Either that or the opposite, a special weapon with good ammo economy(such as a trace or even a Glaive if youre into mandatory aggressive surgery) with a massive burst dps option, ideally a rocket.
@@Vishalx01 140 RPMs have the highest DPS if I'm not mistaken, and given that the sniper has to be an energy weapon in this instance, I'd say the Ikelos sniper rifle works pretty well, it really flies under the radar. It has Fourth-Times in column 3 but it does lack a decent damage perk in column 4. Your options are Focused Fury, High Impact Reserves, and Box Breathing, none of which are particularly great. I would go with Fourth-Times and High Impact Reserves, even if they work against each other. It also rolls with incandescent in column 4, which can have synergy with the solar subclass you have set up with this build. Factoring in the massive damage boost you get from Lumina, you don't really need a damage perk on your sniper anyway, so if you want more solar flavor, incandescent is definitely an option.
@@hi.im.iris69420 a fun note for this season specifically is that any of the High-Impact snipers will go radiant after a single precision hit as long as they have a mag size of 3. You can overflow it with Envious and it still works, but it's neat because that means any headshot kills, even if it's a 1-shot, will trigger an ignition. Not right for everything, but I do have a Last Foray with Envious + Boxed that I get a giggle out of using every so often. If you really want to lean in though, a trace rifle + Cenotaph is probably going to be the most impressive support setup. Just a shame that the solar ones don't get shoot to loot.
@@hi.im.iris69420 thankyou for this 😁 will keep that in mind. I do have a disorienting Empty Vessel grenade launcher, but I’m not really sure if empty vessel is good/worth using. Any thoughts?
I'm surprised I didn't see him try heartshadow Starfire build. Invis at demand. Powerful grenades. Each grenade refills Phoenix dive. Firesprites n such
2:00 The first thing I did remember when I did see "Solar Combat Medic" was he's doing the wrong way, Mactics proofed this point showing Boots of the Assembler proc Ember of Benevolence. You can use The Eremite Solar Fusion Rifle with Heal Clip and Accelerated Coils and Elemental Capacitor to speed up the reload time or a damage perk like Golden Tricorn or Reservoir Burst or Controller Burst (the latter more useful in DPS phase against Boss) and Solar Grenade with Ember of Resolve Fragment. Instead of Eremite you can use this Season Adhortative with Heal Clip so you avoid running out of ammo.
Finally, after 4 (four) years, I catalized Lumina. Loadout of Osmiomancy Gloves with Lumina gives 89% increase damage against frozen enemies. The Coil activity has several buffs like super fast abilities recharges. Test in GM Nightfall would be more interesting.
I always believed this is how the game should be played: every player diversifies their builds to fulfill a specific role in a team instead of all 3 players insisting on going for DPS + a Well. The team composition was quite well balanced: Strand titan as the tank/primary ad clearer, Nova warlock as burst DPS/debuffer, this build as the healer/buffer. This spread allows for for all bases to be covered with few weaknesses.
Running ember of benevolence on precious scars titan is an absolute win button because you are just spamming out restoration like crazy to everyone within 20 meters. Keep in mind with 400% reduce cooldown your grenade can come back in under 5 seconds under the right circumstances. I once ran with a team consisting of a void, solar, and strand titan. We were freaking invincible with constant over shield, restoration, woven mail, and banner of war.
Here’s a build I’ve seen and tested, you should try it out Tri-Threadrunner SAV Or Mothman Provide Void Overshields for allies, Blind and sever your foes, while having Woven Mail Exotic: Mothkeeper Wraps, Ex Diris Artifacts that Help: - Blast Radius (required) - Unraveling Orbs (required) - Dragon’s Bite - Horde Shuttle - Argent Ordnance Class: Threadrunner Dodge: Marksman for Rocket DPS Grenade: Does not matter, at 100 discipline cooldown will be 35 seconds Aspects 1. Whirling Maelstrom 2. Widow’s Silk (Grants a 3rd grenade) or Threaded Specter (for extra safety) Fragments 1. Thread of Generation (mandatory) 2. Thread of Warding (mandatory) 3. Thread of Transmutation (mandatory) 4. Ascent, Continuity, or Fury, your choice Thread of Ascent + Marksman Dodge feels nice with a bipod rocket. Continuity provides longer sever Fury provides more opportunities to sever Weapons Primary: Strand weapon with golden tricorn Even though the grenade is arc, the HUD displays it as Strand and you will be able to get Tricorn 2x A demolitionist weapon will do fine here too Special: Ex Diris A Hive Knight Boomer. Upon getting kills you generate moths. The purple moths (only available with Mothkeeper’s Wraps) grant overshield, the blue deal arc damage and blind foes. At full, you will have 32 ammo w/o mods Catalyst is not required but helps fire rate and provides amplified Heavy: Semiotcian / Arc Rocket Launcher Ideally with bipod On my Semiotician, field prep + bipod let me carry 14 rockets Armor Priority: Resilience, Discipline, Mobility Head 1. Arc or Strand Siphon (depending on heavy) 2. Special Ammo Finder 3. Ashes to Assets or Font of Wisdom Gauntlets: Mothkeeper’s Wraps Turns Grenade into 2 Loyal Moths and gives an extra grenade charge. Usually you will get 1 blue and 1 purple moth, however it will change depending on where it is thrown. Purple moths provide a 8 second overshield that will cover half of your health bar. These moths will aggressively track allies as well. Blue Moths will run up to enemies and explode, damaging and blinding them. 1. Firepower 2. 2x Grenade kickstart Chest 1. Resist mods 2. 1 copy of Charged Up Legs 1. Supercharged 2. Recuperation 3. Innervation Class 1. Reaper 2. Bomber 3. Powerful Attraction Gameplay Loop: Get kills with Ex Diris or throw grenades to get an overshield and blind foes. Get strand kills and throw tangles. You are fulfilling mostly crowd control but play support as well. Throwing a grenade at your feet usually will give you at least 1 purple moth when in a sticky situation. Fashion: The Mothman Outfit Polar Predator’s Cowl or Mygalomorph Mask No ornament for Gauntlet Mygalomorph Vest Photonic Boots Mygalomorph Cloak, but a lot works here Shader: Dawning Mirth, Graceful Phantom or Argent Teratorn
I think its really cool that Mactics let his son do this episode! I must say I prefer Shade-Mactics, though I might be biased as I am a shade person myself. Love these "will it build videos". Make me want to experiment more than I normally do
I have no experience on console, but from what I know on PC, the float-in-place mechanic is based on your lateral momentum after reaching your peak elevation. As long as you do not move (and keep the heat rises timer up), you can stay in-air as long as you like. The same should apply to console, with some differences in timing the "maneuver", and apart from some minor D2 info-trolling, or you just gaving stick-drift and refusing to admit it, this is false information.
Console player here. No matter the momentum, you can keep yourself in the air for a good while potentially but eventually you will start to descend down slowly.
@tonygables626 idk what I'm doing wrong. I do stay and hover in place for a bit and it's definitely better than without but then I start descending after a little while. I haven't been able to stay in the air without rejumping again
you know I've spent months looking for the Destiny Data Companion... it's COMPENDIUM god damn it. Fullscreened and finally saw it.... christ on a crutch.
Lumina and aeon sect of vigor interact with each other, teammates who are critically wounded while in 10 meters receive 25% damage resistance pare that with lumina and you'll accurately save teammates, I call it "the servitor build"
13:28 you actually don’t have to use heat rises to get melee energy, that just passively happens with airborne kills. You can loop incinerator snaps on trash mobs over and over without the heat rises buff. You just have to get around 4-5 kills and your melee is fully restored.
I have a build I think you might like. it's a liars handshake, 1-2 punch build with the shotgun being a crafted wastelander m5 with slide shot and 1-2 punch. I pair that with trinity ghoul just for a little extra add clear. I then use either a hot head or a storm chaser as my heavy.
Definitely no moustache; either clean shaven or full beard; no half arsing it 😊 Definitely going to try this; whenever I try a medic build, ie, Lumina and Boots of the Assembler, my fireteam always say they barely noticed any difference, but maybe that’s more me and my skills than the builds effectiveness.
The thing i hate about lumina is that i have to disengage combat, take my eyes off the enemies to find my teammates, and try to hit them while they're jumping/strafing to not get hit by enemies. Meanwhile, you're not liking things so they're shooting at you while you're trying to do this. I'm certain some players do this very well, but for me it ends up hurting my play more than helping others. Now with boots of assembler, i can run that because it passively does it while i can stay engaged in the fight.
I'm afraid of change and I like the mustache mac the best. Cool build, I'd just throw on one or two kinetic surges so lumina hits harder, but maybe it doesnt stack like how radiant and blessing of the sky didn't???? the ability regen mods on the boots seem overkill if you're getting the 400% regen from shooting a noble round.
Ive actually been running this build for a while, but the helmet would have boots of assembler or the stag. The reason being because for assembler you would get your nobles back. But if you run the stag you can also get a lot of rift energy back when damaged, you also get 25% damage reduction
I'm enjoying all of these "will it build" videos. Is it possible for you to create dim links for your builds that you showcase here, with your final tweaks and recommended changes?
I like a little bit of shade Mac, haha. I always wanna run builds like this but sometimes your dps in edngame activities can suffer. Lumina is so much fun
Try this build with the boot exotic that makes the noble seekers. The exotic boot have a strange interaction with lumina. It feeds noble rounds to it. They heal your group members. And extend the life of your healing rift. I have had up to three rifts down at the same time.
Build Idea Mantle of Battle Wellock Mantle of Battle Harmony Solar Wellock with Traveler's Chosen Heat Rises Touch of Flame Phoenix Dive, Incinerator Snap, Grenade of your choice Ember of Torches Ember of Empyrean Ember of Solace Ember of Searing Mods Ammo Finder, Solar Siphon Firepower, Heavy Handed Reserves, Damage Resist of your choice Stacks on Stacks, Invigoration, Scavenger Reaper, Time Dilation Traveller's Chosen, Solar Secondary, DPS Heavy of your choice (I use Apex) Gameplay loop - consume grenade for heat rises, phoenix dive to get restoration x2, melee to get radiant. Consuming your grenade turns travellers chosen to solar now all your kills reset and extend radiant and restoration. Hold reload if you ever lose your buffs and travellers chosen refills all of your abilities. Once your super is up DON'T use it. It gives you x4 solar weapon surge for 11 seconds and refreshes on kills. Even when it goes away picking up an orb or random solar weapon kills will restart the x4 surge. Use well in emergencies but once well is done you can start the cycle again by using travellers chosen reload.
Not gonna lie always been a fan of mustachtics lol I hope that wasn’t too corny 🤣🤣. Baby face mactics looking good !!! ROCK THAT MAN !! Love the videos. Love this build too lol very different style than we’ve seen for a little bit 🤞🏽🤞🏽
This is okay. Aeons (class nonspecific too) or Boots of the assembler are way more useful. With sect of force would be better. You lose the 50% passive from EOAW which benevolence is overwriting anyways but this is what you gain: you gain aeons haste and weakening which stacks with void weaken or solar weaken (this season only because of the artifact) to actually give your allies some additional support in the damage department. They get 35% damage buff from blessing of the sky and baddies get weakened (20%) or double weakened (another 15%) when you land sustained hit(1) and hit with solar abilities(2). Also, during sustained phases where you don’t have remnants, you get additional handling/reload which is useful. If you have an ally that is also running aeons with sect of insight, you get super energy when they do finishers and they get ability energy (33% per second for 3 seconds) just for you getting sustained hits on a major, elite, mini boss, boss or champion.
Tbh the freshly shaved, fully clean mactics looks rlly fresh! Also, for the build, I would use a healing grenade and Icarus dash instead of heat rises as to me, lumina is much more of a high-level content gun and doesn’t really have that much of an affect in low level content, and with the whole gun setup, I feel like this build is meant to be taken into master raids and dungeons. Great build! 10/10
I hope you see this. Although more builds will come along day by day, Can you make a top 5 or top 10 Best builds; highest damage, best survival, most synergy... of 2023?
My favorite thing is when blueberries don't realize why I'm shooting them and get mad. It's happened more often than not. One guys like "bro why you shooting me?" It's like "brah I'm healing your ass"
Mactics you should shave the stash G. You look younger like with a baby face. You could pass for a teen homie.😂 All in all thank you for your videos. I've been getting a few builds from your channel. Gracias Mactics....
Dude, completely shaved works. You're at the age that can rock that looking good..... However, you are totally primed for a good Captain Jack Sparrow beard in a few years.....
As a facial hair supporter/encourager, the mustache is (was) fantastic. Obviously though, you should just rock what makes you feel the best about your appearance. Fantastic vid as always, Mactics!
Yeah, I think a bit of the five o'clock shadow looks better for you, and I echo everyone joking about how young you look, lol. Lumina Warlock is a build I always have prepped, but I don't use quite enough. I'll have to make this one and see how I feel about it for myself, since I haven't used that Exotic helmet in ages.
Only recently tried a non hunter build since D1 with your Threadling Warlock so at this point I'm slightly more open to non-hunter stuff lol. Also that compendium seems pretty useful, any chance that it's accessible to anyone? :P
This build is mediocre at best. It won't work in a GM or Master dungeon, and there are way better options for turning ad clearing into dps or heals. It's nice to see Eye of another world featured, but in my opinion that exotic works best with strand builds atm. The only good thing about this video is seeing that nice, clean shaved face. 9,6/10.
I like the baby shave and the mustache.. depending on the occasion.. if you’re meeting Bruce Wayne maybe the mustache will do.. but a date night the baby shave will do. Gimme that emblem please 🏃🏻♂️
USE CURE CLIP on the sniper (or pulse adhortative) and also give boots of the asembler a try, proc radiant with the artifact mod set a healing rift , you have a mini maybe better well of radiance then switch to Lumia after blowing a load from Cry Mutiny
I rarely suggest a mustache with no beard but I think you can pull it off with two caveats. 1. Don't have the little Shaggy chin beard and 2. Grow the soul patch out and down a bit like Doc Holiday (if not a bit more)
clean-shaven is my favorite on most guys, and you're handsome, so show it off!! thank you for your continued uploads - i am terrifically bad at build assembly beyond super obvious things, and you help me keep gameplay fresh and interesting :)
Honestly kinda like the fully shaved look. It looks better with how you style your hair and just your overall facial shape. But that’s a personal preference end of day whatever makes you happiest. This build looked fun.
I think mustache looks best, then baby face actually, and some shade as third. But it’s literally impossible for you to look bad, so whichever you happen to have I’m happy with :)
Mustache made you look older, I’d say grow it back. On another note how does it feel knowing giants in the destiny community are copying your will it build series? That’s how you know you’re killin it, keep it up 🤙
hello mr. mactics.. I was wondering why yourself and other content creator alike, never recommend any font mods? Are the font mods worth it in your opinion? Can you make a video explaining this so I can show my friends? thanks.
I have a full beard, but I still prefer you completely clean shaven. Full baby butt smooth. But at the end of the day it’s your face and I am in no position to tell you what to do. Anyways this seems like a fun build to play a more support role, which I’m usually a fan of
Btw if doing warlock with rift the fragment benevolence should be mandatory if u playing with people (unless they idiots and dont touch ur rift) like gms u just have to have somone step into the rift every 6 sec and will have ur rift back before it goes away so like a mini well and fast melee and gernade charge
I don't know how to feel about no stache Mac. On one hand he looks like the newest Harry Osborne from insomniac Spiderman 2. And on the other hand, I'll miss the mustache mac
Definitely stache! But as a fellow stache-haver, I do understand the need for some time away every once in a while. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, as they say.
I prefer shaven unless you're going to grow a full beard. Though tbh: you've had that moustache for so long now that it seems weird seeing you without it.
Mustache Mac had that evil scientist vibe and I thought you had that smug "I know more than you look". Even though you don't act that way at all to be clear. Mustache Mac gets my vote
It works better if you stay back, up in the air, focus on taking out trash mobs, and then buffing your teammates, mainly only doing damage to the boss after those 2 things are done.
Mustache is nice, but how about the secret option of, a little bit of scruff? A darker 5 o'clock shadow if you can grow a beard idk if you can or not tbh.
I just master worked Lumina with this build. You can get credit for heals even if you heal some random player running around on patrol. I mostly ran the Wellspring activity off and on over an evening and got enough heals. I thought this was a fun build, once I figured out when to kill mobs before others killed them so I could get remnants. Thanks for the Video!
