In this vlog I head over the amazing Lune Aquaduct on the Lancaster canal. I take a look around Hest Bank and find out about the area.

Not only are you kindly on a recce for my one week narrowboat trip on the Lancaster later in the year, you even went past the narrowboat I'll be on! haha... that's real attention to duty/detail... 👍😂 Hope you found your glasses, I was shouting, but you ignored me and carried on vlogging. 🙄😉🤣

Yet another example of how to present a stunning video ..will ..you never disappoint .. they have been constantly interesting and informative and always a pleasure to watch.. I always look forward to watching your videos ..so many times I see places that I have visited in the past..and unfortunately will never visit again... For people like myself they are a constant reminder to their lives living on the canals of this country.... Morning Will. Interesting video, an area I know well. Good to see some history added in. Some years ago the embankment and Lune Aqueduct were drained for major maybe works, I visited and took some pictures. Guess thats when the odd armco was installed. There was concern about the embankment leaking and obviously a breach would've been a disaster. Looking forward to the sunsets! Regards. Paul.

glad to see the canal clear up , i thought it was going to be one of those cloggy ones again , it looked a nice area where you moored , what could be better , you'd got the canal , the trainline , & the beach all in a short distance , brilliant , pity about the weather lol .

My goodness it was shallow I'd have been hitting the bottom in my kayak too.😅 We visited the beach with you too ❤ I love the sound of shale under foot and the sound of the breaking waves. Bridge 111 is very close to where I grew up and I spent a lot of my youth fishing that stretch and the river lune.The river under the aquaduct is fresh water it becomes tidal at skerton weir about a mile further downstream.18:01 is the stone jetty in Morecambe

Ahhh. I saw the river at low tide. I presumed it was all tidal. Thanks for the info. It's a lovely stretch, and I go under the aqueduct later on. Stay tuned ripper. 👍👍

Lune aqueduct is one beautiful aquaduct and am curious to know the history and as well how they build it. You're making one amazing journey on this canal. Locked up was a low point, you did your time 😉😂 and now we move on!
