I have the CSC7s and agree on all fronts. They are comfortable enough, amazing in both the dry and wet and I couldn't be happier with them. They are the top choice and have knocked the Michelin PS4S of their perch - and they are cheaper than the michelins too. What's not to like?

I have them and find that they have seriously loud tire noise
@sportzntouring
@sportzntouring Год назад
The SC6s were worse... But both 6s and 7s are a sports tyre so not intended for quiet, comfortable motoring... Although, I don't find them to be that bad. The PS4S is the more all round tyre, if you don't mind sacrificing a bit (not much) of sportiness for a quieter ride... Depends on if it's a daily and if quiet is important to you.

The wear on these is quite high, they fall short by around 30-40% from the michelin ps4s. Having said that it has loads of grip dry/wet and inspires confidence(maybe even a bit too much in the wet hehe). I'm driving with SportContact7 for a first time. I've been driving for a month now and today I ordered a new set of tyres for my car, that's how bad this tyre is! First of all - it's extremely hard, like unpleasantly hard. And second and most important - this tyre doesn't have a grip in rainy weather, like no grip at all. I slipped yesterday with 20 km/h and nothing could stop me. I parked my car and waiting for my new tyres. Don't buy this junk.
@sportzntouring
@sportzntouring Год назад
Thanks for the feedback. Interesting that your wet weather experience isn't consistent with either my experience or that of TyreReviews. In their rigorous tests, it out performed just about everything in its class... Beating the PS4S on dry and wet weather grip. As for comfort - as I said, the tyre is harsher than the PS4S, but you get a more responsive feel. It's a trade off. I do also say that if comfort is your priority, the PS4S is slightly better. What did you buy instead?
@naikki
@naikki Год назад
@@sportzntouring The last three years I was driving with 4S, I saw that the SC7 is a newer model I decided to try it, as all of the tests said the tyre is great etc. well it's not. @sportzntouring
@sportzntouring Год назад
Well, these things are somewhat subjective. From what you've said, you value comfort quite highly and in that case, the 4S is the better tyre for you. But, I do trust the rigor of TyreReviews objective testing where they compare side by side at the limit, including in the wet, where the SC7 was the better performing tyre. But, the subjective part, whether one person likes the feel or not and what trade offs you're willing to accept... is down to the individual preferences. Sorry to hear it wasn't the tyre for you.

I found the opposite, I had to use the 30 day guarantee on Michelins I bought to replace some Continental SC tyres… went straight back and bought some new Conti’s. The Michelin were a very comfortable tyre but they felt indirect and squishy without any of the quick turn in I’d taken for granted with the Conti’s. I drive defensively and they will not wear out until I have 20.000km on it. I have now 25k and they are still in good shape, but after a very long road trip to scandinavia they are finished (in scandinavia streets are out of rocks and eat the rubber a lot, they need this baucause of Ice and such).
