This supplement called Mood Support helped me get through a period of extreme stress and symptoms of anxiety a year ago. Everyone has a different biochemistry and with so many factors involved, I assume it will not help everyone. But, if it helps someone, I will be happy that I made this video.
Here I share my honest experience with this supplement and my symptoms of anxiety I was dealing with.
If you are suffering from anxiety or depression, I highly recommending reading a book called "Nutrient Power," by William Walsh. That book is a life-changer and an eye-opener when it comes to specific biochemical causes of these issues, plus solutions.

DHEA is the best support for the adrenal gland related to stress. Over time when the adrenal gland is just overworked, DHEA is your answer. I had the same exact heart racing episodes. After realizing just how it was all related to the years of stress of living in suburban Cook Co Illinois, I looked into what would help with these adrenal issues. DHEA was the #1 answer.

*Lemon balm* is also good for mood support, it helps to slow racing thoughts while clearing brain fog. *Uridine monophosphate* sublingually also helps with emotional regulation, motivation, and focus. Another very beneficial supplement is *phosphatidylserine* for the same benefits as well as calmness and improving neuronal health. For panic attacks or depression, 5mg up to 40mg of *lithium orotate* helps, it's mild but noticeably improves mood and stimulates neurogenesis.

I’m sorry you had Togo through the anxiety and I’m glad you found something to help. I am a retired nurse and watched a man die from serotonin syndrome. He was on Paxil and just took one Saint johns wort. I’ve always been very concerned when I hear anybody talk about Saint johns wort. So many people are given SSRIs like candy. When they are combined with St. John’s wort, they react like an MOA inhibitor. You did show the serotonin syndrome, warning, and that’s good but I think it needs to be strongly pointed out how dangerous it is.

My stepmom gave this to my dad while they lived in Tennessee, hundreds of miles away from the rest of his and her family. His idea to live there, but didn't realize the disconnection that'd result from it, with people only sporadically being able to visit, including me. I loved my dad, passed away a few years ago. My stepmom said he'd have days he was so besieged by sadness he could barely get out of bed. And yet, those few times I'd visit, he was energetic, upbeat, 'rarin' to go out and enjoy the day with me. I don't know if it helped him, sometimes, situations have to be tended or resolved for true alleviation. But seeing the supplement reminded me of all this. It's good of you to want to share your experiences with others, to help them. I do the same with so many, and the proudest moments I have are when my guidance helps someone decisively. On a side-note, I think you're wonderful, and entirely lovely :)

Thank you so much for sharing this video and being careful to tell that vitamins can interact with prescriptions and can cause very bad problems, like liver failure. I recommend people read all the interactions on the paperwork that comes with meds and talk with the pharmacist, they seem to be more knowledgeable than the doctors. For years, since I was a young child, I struggled with anxiety and depression, and I was always tired. I tried so many vitamins and antidepressants, but nothing worked. It was not until I became very sick and lost 40 pounds without trying and landed in ICU. 6 months later I had a smart nurse look at my symptoms and learned that I had a disease that was causing it. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, iron deficiency or any other issues that you can't figure out, I highly recommend that you get tested for Celiac disease and HPylori. Not everyone has gastro symptoms, and because it is the most common autoimmune disease in the US and UK, it's a good thing to rule out; stress is thought to trigger it. CD is much more common than most people, including doctors, realize.

More than twenty yrs ago I realized that I was familially depressed, meaning my bi-polar mother raising me made me into a very sad person. I was always negative and grossly unhappy about most things in life. The internet was still fairly new and underdeveloped, but I was able to find enough information about St Johns’s Wort to warrant trying it. I was taking 900 mg (300 x 3) over the course of a day. After about a month, It changed my life. It works by increasing your serotonin production. I had to take it regularly for 6-8 yrs in order to improve my brain to the point where I didn’t need it anymore. I would back off and try to go without, then the negativity would return, so I’d increase my dose again. But after many yrs of taking it religiously, it made a massive difference for my lifetime of moderate depression. I suspect that it was some of the other ingredients such as the B vitamins that gave you the immediate relief plus a placebo effect with the SJW. It generally take 6-8 weeks at 900 mg to impact serotonin levels. Not sure where that falls for someone whose primary symptom is anxiety, but good to know that this combination is available. I’d be curious to see any metadata research on the combination of active ingredients. Thanks for the video!

Thank you so much for sharing this. My mom is also bipolar. I really believe that our neurotransmitters play a huge part in how we perceive life and if we end up feeling the way you did previously, or if a person is prone to depression or not. I have seen this in others. And, I cannot comprehend that doctors don't test neurotransmitters. They just give you the same old pharmaceutics, no matter what is going on. They don't investigate anything. If you're interested in these topics, I highly recommend a book called Nutrient Power, by William Walsh. He's a scientist/doctor who has dedicated his life to researching and studying neurotransmitters, in an attempt to understand specific causes of depression, adhd, anxiety, etc. He's even studied the biochemistry of numerous high profile killers. He believes there are biotypes of depression that are caused by specific imbalances and can be treated with specific supplements. He's done a lot of research. Dr. Walsh is in his 80s and he's still working away and training doctors in his methods: www.walshinstitute.org/. I went to one of his conferences years ago. I wanted to thank him for his work. It really helped one of my close family members, to get through a really serious period of depression.

Interesting RU-vid upload. I can relate with being crook for about 3 .5 months roughly and changing my whole life - food, taking supplements and going for 3 or 4 long walks between 33 to 44 kms a day plus of course prayer.. And obviously being a serious Christian despite doing all those things and "getting better" I attribute my getting better to God solely.. And that sounds silly of course but.. I was really crook and was praying alot and doing all those things too but I just thought I'd just say I can relate. (So you know also I did go to the doctor and many and a few hospitals and no one could help me and strangely enough I received no advice etc and I was really angry) But.. thank God I'm better now. @@setme4ree well it took me at least 2 months after all those years of smoking cigarettes and marijuana and drinking alcohol every day to feel better, I had to walk ALOT pretty much every day, eat really healthy, take vitamins and I prayed around the clock too as it was taking so long to get better so I was starting to get angry / grumpy about it after I changed my whole life but one day the funny unwell feelings I had just stopped and I didn't notice it and about a week later it all went away when I noticed it and after about 2.5 weeks of being fine I felt a bit "unwell again" but once again I've improved but not 100% like I did a few weeks back and am a bit angry / disappointed and grumpy again as I'm not 100% I am very thankful though as I've never got back to as bad as it was in the beginning about 3 months ago as it was really bad 27/7 pretty much so I'm thankful to God it's not that bad because it was REALLY unbearable then. I do hope it I would just improve that tiny miniscule bit more just so I feel normal again but I'm alot better. I don't know if it's in God's plan to heal me and I keep saying to God "please take this away from me, I'm not strong enough, I can't handle it" but I'm not sure if he will as I've been not really that great health wise on and off with this and that for a while now but what I have now has been going on around 3 to 3.5 months roughly and it's really tiring and I think I'm not as close to God anymore a little as it's just been eating away at me and I can't find any help from the doctors / hospital / God etc, I do hope you go well though and I pray now that you may be healed by God, I hope anyway, thanks for getting in touch and I just pray you go well and if God doesn't heal you I pray he gives you the strength at least to bear it and blesses you also at the very least. Personally it saved my life, it's cheap and has zero side effects as far as I know. I've been taking it for more than ten years and I cannot praise this plant enough. Please do your own research but for anyone suffering from anxiety or depression in my opinion it's much better and safer than st John's wort.

I will not play the violin very much but I will say that I have been through some very big life change in events and I’ve definitely seen the highest peaks of life and the lowest values of life. I will let it go with that. What I truly believe is that life is about homeostasis. Not only does your body always try to keep your body as healthy as it can with whatever it’s dealing with brings it back to centre to normality as close as it can buy adjusting all kinds of things in your body. I spent 30+ years in healthcare and I can honestly tell you I’ve seen patients that on paper should’ve been in critical condition but their body through the adaptation of homeostasis were leading near normal life. Without invoking any extreme spiritual beliefs I will say that what my belief is Life is homeostasis. When bad things happen to you even if it’s not a fault of your own. There were a cascade of events there were things that happened that brought you to the point you are in when you are in the valley. I have found these very low times very trying times are very much necessary for your growth as a human being. I believe that because things are uncomfortable it causes you to change, to adapt, to have an epiphany and or change in your consciousness. I believe by using The bad times in your life to refocus, reassess and to use your situation as an opportunity to excel. I’ve seen too many times where parents and colleagues both seek out chemical treatments because they’re blue or they’re unhappy or they can’t sleep. Like when the wind blows if you listen you can tell where the storms coming from. If you pay attention to detail you can figure out what you need to do. I think we’ve all been guilty of shortcuts weather liquor drugs or remaining in situation‘s simply because it is the devil that we know. We stay someplace because even though it is terrible We know what it is. I hope this reaches out and helps at least one person.

Breathwork is unpopular because its emotionally hardcore but also causes hardcore positive changes, you cant imagine how big they are unless you go for it. Very deep inhales, confortable speed, exhale just letting go, but should be no shorter than the inhale. important to take very DEEP breaths / inhales until your lungs start to stretch, speed just what you‘re confortable with. closed or open eyes doesnt matter. sitting or lying. music of your choice or silence. btw meditation is nothing compared to breathwork

Also try the Motherwort pills or tincture. The tincture works very quickly if you start to feel panicky and anxious. I usually keep a small bottle with me when I’m traveling. The taste is bitter, but it will calm you down. It works anywhere between 5-10 minutes for me, and will stay with me up to a hour, sometimes longer, especially if I have not eaten much to nothing. When I used to take the motherwort capsules minutes before bed, I’d release one capsule in a hot cup of water with a teaspoon of the Calm powder, and sip on it to have a peaceful sleep. @@LifeDIY Hi Holly, my heart rate and blood pressure has always been on the higher side. Heart rate is typically in the eighties per min and BP 130/100. At rest heart rate is 60s-70s. I can get palpitations if the anxiety is severe but nowadays thankfully I don’t get that cos palpitations are extremely uncomfortable. I suffered that in my teenage years and during pregnancy. The GP tested my thyroid hormones and they are good and I am never on any thyroid medication. So it’s largely due to anxiety. I am currently trying arms strengthening and stretching exercises which help after the Norgesic finally relieved me of severe tension in my neck and shoulders. The tremors are causing me a lot of grief. I started noticing them after covid last year but they got very bad after some family matter in Feb. must be anxiety making it worse. After I saw the psychologist who gave me some advice which I carried out, I felt better but each time when I feel overwhelmed the tremors can come back. So I have also been doing some Meditation using Headspace app to help me breathe and keep calm. I do not feel my heart racing suddenly or whatever but I know it is working very hard every day. I am hoping to get into some exercise routine to help lower my heart rate. I feel that I am always living on high cortisol and always in a crazy busy rush daily. I really hope to take things easier daily. Some of us just are more uptight and high strung. I hate this about myself. I am always trying to live up to people’s expectations and my own expectations too. A typical type A personality.

@@lambylambcurly Oh wow it sounds like we are going through very similar symptoms. And I was feeling so super weird. I thought maybe i am getting early onset Alzhemier's :( I experience muscle weakness in my arms but definitely anxiety is the trigger. On top of my own family's challenges, I have to cope with elderly parents' challenges. It is demanding mentally emotionally and physically. Cortisol level is definitely high all the time. I try to get enough sleep because that is the only time I can stop thinking about everything. I do believe my physical symptoms are psychosomatic too but the estrogen and progesterone deficiency with menopause definitely plays a large part because it affects mood, causes anxiety and fatigue. It's many multi-factorial. Have you gone in for a Dexa bone scan? Have your heart checked by a cardiologist? How about getting some pelvic ultrasound and mammogram all that? I think it is good to do all these baseline check. With estrogen deficiency at menopause, women are at higher risk of heart attacks, osteoporosis and Alzhemier's Disease. That's a dreadful situation that can be avoided with a little research that you had the indigenous wisdom to do. Both St Johns Wort and Sam-E are prescriptions in other countries . They have also gone head to head with SSRI's in double blind trials, and either worked as well , or prevailed. I was ignorant in my 20's, driven by blind desperation and suicidal ideation. Now I feel essentially stranded on meds.. However, I did start the latest release called Auvelity and I'm quite delighted with it. It's an NMDA receptor agonist and has no effect on serotonin. They were documenting cases of patients (mostly former military staff that came back from serving in war with psychological problems). So they first got 1 pharmaceutical antidepressant and that caused them to get other psychological problems. I researched it a long time ago and noticed that for most of the mass sho*tings, the person was on one or just put on or off of one. It seems like it can be tricky when getting on or off and everyone is different. I think for some people, it can definitely worsen issues and for others, hopefully it helps. I don't think it's a good system at all - kind of primitive how they hand it out like candy with no regard to biochemistry. There are doctors and scientists out there who have done extensive research on the biochemical causes of numerous types of depression, anxiety and other issues like ADHD. But, it's not profitable for the industry, so that information is suppressed and doctors just do as they are told and prescribe a variety of meds with no understanding of possible underlying causes. Sorry for the tangent but it makes no sense in my mind, but we're conditioned to see it as normal and the standard operating procedure.

I believe that it is not St John’s Wort Extract that is mainly working in this receipt but GABA. St John’s Wort is next to nothing compared to GABA. GABA is a really strong supplement and some specific forms of GABA delivery such as in Phenibut may work as narcotic if taken for long time.

I can't speak much for the supplements and ingredients, though there usually, is a connection between depression and anxiety. I mean, having anxiety especially the greater elevated levels, it would make sense to feel hopeless or saddened that it won't get better. I took antidepressants, and only worked to a certain extent, but I much rather take supplements, or meditate, or even go to therapy than take antidepressants again, but that's just me. For some people, they do work pretty well. The key is finding what works best for you, and doing so in a safe and practical way.

Judging from your knuckles in addition to the neurological issues, I would recommend looking at celiac disease. (Not being mean here, you are very beautiful, but my mother had the same.) It causes inflammation and malabsorption of nutrients which results in a cascade of problems. Doctors receive literally zero classes in nutrition in medical school. It doesn’t pay so they are not taught anything about it. The treatment is simply a gluten-free diet, which results in complete remission of symptoms. I can attest to this as I had too many to list, but am completely healthy now, on no medications and in perfect health at almost 50 years of age.
@LifeDIY
@LifeDIY Год назад
Thanks. My knuckles are just like that due to genetics, so they aren't inflamed or anything. Good point about gluten though. It is very inflammatory. I have been 100% gluten free for at least 5 years, though I started prior to that. I never cheat. I don't have dairy either. This situation I shared in this video was a period of time for me a year ago and I've never had it before - it was due to an event. I don't have that issue anymore. I really just wanted to share the supplement and my story, in case it might help anyone else. It's awesome to hear that going GF helped you so much. For many people, it may not be the only problem causing symptoms or the only change needed in order to have less symptoms. But, I think it can be hugely beneficial for many people. :)

PTSD / anxiety appear to be an entirely normal response that virtually all people will experience if subjected to repeated or cumulative stress and particularly traumatic events. This is an exceedingly uncomfortable experience (one will engage in increasing efforts at avoidance). N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine for PTSD / Anxiety symptoms is a stunningly effective single agent... First thing in the morning on an empty stomach seems to work, but also, one to two grams will help symptoms evaporate much faster... It's actually rather remarkable... Thank you, Holly! In addition to SSRIs, St John's Wort could interact with rhodiola (an MAO inhibitor) and dextromethorphan (found in some cough syrups). Probably a good idea to look up serotonin syndrome & know the symptoms. St John's Wort can also cause photosensitivity / increase UV damage. Random supplement notes: I noticed palpitations (not triggered by psychological stress) improved w/ taking vitamin K1 (100 mcg/day) [not K2]. Taking BioSil over a long period seemed to cause palpitations & POTS -type symptoms; some reviewers on Amazon have reported the same experience. Naphazoline containing eye drops triggers palpitations almost immediately, just one drop per eye is enough. My mood seems to improve when taking reduced glutathione & my skin gets lighter; there is some evidence (mouse & human studies) showing it is orally bioavailable. It shouldn't be, since it should get digested, but fibrinolytic enzymes such as nattokinase and also (unfortunately) prions can remain intact & get taken up. So I think burden of proof should be on the 'it can't be orally bioavailable' side at this point.
@setme4ree
@setme4ree Год назад
Is there anything that gets rid of prions? In my science class they say we dont all have them but I’m not convinced
@rhyothemisprinceps1617
@rhyothemisprinceps1617 Год назад
@@setme4ree No, unfortunately. But I would not worry too much about it, at least not in the US, unless you eat venison. If you do - don't eat brains or organs (or sausage) - just muscle meat & be very careful if you do the field dressing. A researcher [Émilie Jaumain] became ill when dissecting prion infected brain tissue - she cut her thumb & that was enough. IIRC she was supposed to be wearing protective metal mesh gloves, but I guess they made it very difficult to do the work.

@@LifeDIY sorry to but in but I swear by magnesium bi-glycinate it's the best form for sleep/calm/relaxation...I have been taking this form of magnesium for years. I take it at night to aid sleep but if I'm extra stressed out I take it in the daytime. Upper safe limit for magnesium is about 300mg to 400mg. Also check with a docter as magnesium interacts with alot of medicines... magnesium is great for anxiety as it helps to regulate the heart rate amongst many other benefits including balancing your hormones so great for pms time.. Avoid magnesium oxide as its cheaply made and poorly absorbed.
