@@Everfrost9 nah those are worth to be Yellow. The way events are set up, we should be getting more blue/purple than yellows. This is because assuming we have to 10/10/10 a unit, it takes roughly 32 days of simulation room+2 overclock simulation (2-week) rotations to max out a unit (not counting event shops/giveaways). Which means we should have surplus of blues/purples just coming from events. This means any giveaway boxes you get it's best to be picking yellows on them.

@@skyjlv I see. That's fair. So far I haven't been short on yellows or even purples. It's always been blues for me. Maybe I haven't hit that wall yet or something.

@@skyjlv I dunno man, I'm only picking blues and purples out of them and still have yellows like this guy. 1500 + 2500 and I'm not stingy I have quite a few 10's in my roster. the other problem is that okay we get enough to max out 1 unit in like 30 days, but they release 2-3 units in that time. and you never know how good the units are until some ppl test it out...like I completely ignored EVA units only to realize , oh they are actually good units? well my skill books are not enough to max them, now Rouge came out, I'm still skill book starved...and soon it's anniversary... they need to up the game in skill books. you should get enough materials to max 1 unit out while their banner lasts.

@@Everfrost9 Same for me, the skill 1 and burst 1 books are the ones I go through the most aswell, like I got 2300 yellow skill books, but only 1200 blues

It means you're not maxing out more units and leveling up too many units half finished. Yellows are only needed level 8-10, afterall. If you only push a unit to 7, then of course you're gonna run out of blues/purples. I can see a lil bit of blue argument (because blues are 34 days instead of 32) but in the grand scheme of things if you're picky on the units to upgrade it'll even out proportionately. The way it's setup, the moment even a single a unit is 10/4/10 or 7/7/10 for example, already puts yellow ahead which is why it feels like you run out of regular skill books (non-burst books). The more units you actually finish to 10, the more yellow is going to be in demand. A lot of units recently are becoming 10/10/10 as the "eventually get to this point suggestion" anyway so you'll start seeing it. In a lot of builds, the "minimal recommendation" are just often times temporary and people are expected to, if it increases damage (often times for PvE reasons), eventually max them out to 10. For example, a lot of people (and I have seen these in account reviews) only built Tove to 9/4/4 or 9/7/7 but in reality, Tove should be a 9/10/10 unit and one of the biggest pillars of SG team that should be maxed out. But with her being only 9/7/7, We've now used lots of blues/purples and have a good surplus of yellows. We've used 20 days worth of regular skill blues/purples and only 10 days worth of regular skill yellows (12 days of burst blues/purples and 0 days of burst yellows). And if we have to make it up (10-12 days worth of blues/purples to catch up from regular event shops), we need like a few months worth of event shop mats purchases (remember, it just takes 32-34 days of simulation+overclock without event shop mats to make a unit go 1/1/1->10/10/10) Do that (level 7's and not 10's on skills) enough times (even on just a few units) and you're going to start needing more blues/purples. If you play longer and start maxing out the more valuable units (and reseting old units you stopped using which likely have only been set to skill level 7's because you weren't sure if you should go all in on it), the resources will eventually catch up and you're going to start needing Yellows. It does feel like we don't have enough skill books to max out all the units coming out so people are just pushing to 7's and not pushing to 10's... That's why this situation happens. And don't worry... Even whales don't have enough to max out all units... This is an issue that has been brought up several times. Overclock Simulation was mainly a bandaid fix and doesn't solve the fundamental issue. But food for thought: They release a new unit every 2 weeks (on average) but we only get enough resources to max out ONE unit every month. It's still intentionally setup this way so people whale for skill books in shops.

You get the essential skills to 10, but something like Liters' second skill it's a huge waste to get it to 10 if instead you could use those to get DKW second skill to 10, or Naga's first skill to 10.

it's not wrong but since therese resources are scarce, you need to direct those resources on a more needed skills, because some skill is not worth the investment either not that useful or the scaling level is not that big. if the resource are generous af all characters would already be 10/10/10 either it's useful or not.
