Are you talking about those big tablecloth size things in wool or whatever it was with puny Fringe ya had to fold in half? I miss those scarves lightweight like rayon was it? They came in all kinds of colors. No wonder our hair had more bounce! The scarves protected the hair n scalp from soot n dirt n exhaust n sun n who knows what. Be safe in these monsoon rains. I used this pattern in a straight line as a rectangular wrap that turned out beautifully. This triangular shawl is equally gorgeous. This is getting added to my Make 'Em Up list.

This really is a very simple pattern. I think that I might be able to do this. I love the look of it and the fact that you used the larger hook with the worsted yarn gives it a more relaxed flow and I really like that in scarves. Thanks for this tutorial.

Crystal, I thought I heard you say on another project that you also had the full directions in writing. I see the Transcript, which is kind of a cool way to go back and listen to the directions you’ve gone through. I have a kind of problem with short term memory issues and sadly I get a little lost on these directions. I guess I’ll put this one away for awhile and try something else. You’re really the only one I can follow. I did crochet quite a bit as a teenager but that’s been about 50 years 😂 and I’ve found I’ve forgotten a lot. Sure do appreciate your work, time and ALL the choices you have to choose from.
