I suffer from general anxiety and have definitely noticed dogs AND cats can be very intuitive to how you feel. Don’t believe I’ll be without a dog till I pass from this earth!! Animals love without expectations always happy to be with you ❤❤
Had a similar experience with my Labrador. She was my companion for 12 years during some bad times. Lost her last year's sadly. However, I'm a different journey now with my rescue German shepherd. All the best.

After half a century i must - sadly - say: "Dogs are better than humans" Not one human, and i knew many, will be a friend to you like a dog would. Not even family. I do not like to say this and i like -some- humane but after 4 dogs i realisiert they are better company. Great you found yours, enjoy your "new" life with your great Doberman.
Had an uncle named Francis (historically common, diminutive is "Jack", spelled with an "i" for men and an "e" for women) and an uncle on the other side of the family named Carroll (modern version is "Charles" and can also be used for a woman as "Caroline." My brother is named Shannon, after the River Shannon (also a unisex name).

I had a pomeranian from 2006 to 2023 sadly she passed from heart failure and it was really hard on me, ended up in the hospital. Now i have 18 month old Belgian Mallinois.
