@@rexluminus9867 vset8 plus looks good and not ridiculous price either, for commuting a scooter makes more sense if you dont have somewhere to store a bike both ends. The big problem with ebikes is security, cant really take it in shops etc and dare not leave it outside even with multiple locks for long. Wind resistance is a killer for the range once you get over 15 to 20mph in my experience with the ebikes, if I sit at 30mph range is easily halved compared to an average of 10 to 15mph.

So its an Electric Motor Bike NOT an Ebike. An Ebike(legal that is) has pedals and you have to be pedalling to make it go, when you stop pedaling the electric motor stops. some models do have a throttle but that is supposed to be walking pace only so that you can get off and push it up very steep hills. If you have an older model Ebike you can have a throttle but only if its been converted from an ordinary bike(retrofitted). Also there is a 25 kph(15.5 MPH) max speed under power, so that when you exceed that speed the motor automatically cuts out and no longer gives you any assistance. To Legally ride The above Electric Motor Bike on the road. You would need a number plate, indicators, an MOT and insurance. The MOT is almost impossible to get as its classed as a special and would need DVLA approval(which you wont get lol). You could of course ride it on private land BUT only with the owners permission, You certainly can't ride it to work. P.S. I am only stating the legal position, I would love to fit a 1000watt motor on my own Ebike, especially as I have a trailer, BUT i don't want my Bike confiscated and the huge fine and points on my licence if I was stopped, Yes that's right points on my licence because an oversize motor makes it an uninsured motorbike.

@@crazylikeafox7290 The manufacturers don't "expect" anything, other than to sell them and make money. If you're foolish enough to buy something that's not legal to use, then that's down to you, not the company who made it. The law as it stands has been fine for 100 years. You only want it changing because you bought something that is illegal to use, and you now want to use it. You'd need hugely expensive insurance cover to ride around on something like this. If you cleaned someone up on the pavement, and they were injured and spent time off work, they could sue you for thousands. Lost income, stress, the injury itself. It's a minefield.

And the second Insurance becomes available I'll buy it, regardless of cost. Also, "I'm foolish enough to buy something that's illegal"....but it's fine for the govenment to charge VAT/profit on those illegal items? And the UK law on a number of things, not just transport, is both VERY outdated and biased (try having a fair divorce in the UK - that's a joy to behold!). The small size of it clearly indicates a lot of uncomfortable riders steering away from it including couriers because it’s no doubt too small to feel comfortable and safe as in noticeable to other road users while riding this wee no doubt really cool looking ebike but it’s simply too small to be accepted on roads without being pulled over and most likely fined by the police, ebikes which are of normal bike size are here to stay and be accepted on the roads either if road illegal or not as the police generally won’t back-an-eye if your riding at no faster than 20/25mph then it’s not a hazard nor a hazard if you’re easily noticeable to other road users as this is clearly a big consideration everyone who rides on the road thinks about due to the obviousness about not being seen then suddenly being hit because well like I said already if you’re on a bike which is too small then it’s more difficult to notice and makes the rider difficult to see especially in busy city’s which is where ebikes dominate

Good info. For me ebike without full suspension is non starter. Especially for heavy one. Vibrations will shatter it into pieces in long term use. I like this one but would not ride it fast. Looks dangerous for fast rides. I like small dimensions too.

True just like the bolt and bolt pro, but at the same time their frames can't compare to this one. You can easily fit 2 pretty decent batteries or 1 big battery with good amps. Not to mention there isn't suspension on any of these whatsoever and it's uncomfortable it what I call "riding a camel" this q1 seems to look like it has some suspension. Also upgrading those bikes are a bit limited compared to this one shown.

@ 5:52, you said '... nice and legal..". It depends what you meant by 'legal'. As it is, this bike is not legal on British roads. For it to be legal as an ebike, it needs to be able to be manpowered as well, ie it must have pedals. For it to be legal as a motor bike, it must pass all the legal requirements of a motorised vehicle.

The cops in London will be on you straight away once they notice the lack of cycling pedals. I'm 6' so the un-adjustable saddle seems more suitable to much shorter riders. Dodgy welding points on the non-suspension models will definitely result in issues. Finally, do massive amounts of research before purchasing anything. Sounds like this one won't be cheap and reliability is questionable until proven otherwise.

Nearly 3 thousand pounds why buy that when you could get a second hand 600cc motorcycle. The prices are way to high still for a small bike . Yes electric bike's are good for going around town etc but not everyone lives in London. I mean I haven't got a spare 2800 pounds. Although they look fun I'll give it a miss for another 2 years before I buy. Or maybe wait longer until battery technology gives us endless range there's lots of new battery technology coming soon that I'll start being used. Especially if they can use nuclear waste and make battery's that last for 10 years without charging that wouldbe crazy.

Looks good but I am also gonna be that guy and point out that this is going to hurt the electric rideables community. These are not legal in most western markets and it doesn't matter to the resellers. It can so easily give negative publicity to the overall industry. I know in Australia a tiny "bicycle" that does 60kph but is advertised as being able to take it on public transport and ride it without any form of safety standard wherever you want? Not very responsible.

Pointless unless you are going to register it as a moped / motorcycle. A few more years and scooter manufacturers will be building safe road legal versions of these. If it was a bit bigger and had pedals like the super 73 it would be easier to get away with riding it.

That q1 be fun to ride. But in Washington, USA, it's not an ebike because it doesn't have pedals and it's not a motorized kick scooter because it's not designed to stand on. It's not a moped because it doesn't have mirrors, tail lights, turn signal. Not street legal. Our electric scooters are supposed to be limited to 20mph. But people don't follow that rule. I have 2 kugoo m4 pros - 26mph and a 49cc - 33mph. I seen a vssett 10+ - 40 or 50mph?. Seen a kaabo - 50mph.

i just got one of these little babies in Manila, Philippines (at a shop called Pro Scooter).. i got the Fiido Q1s (which has way better suspension/Shock Absorbers). i actually came to pay off and pick up a stand up scooter (Dual Motor power muththa'fu#ka) and i saw the Fiido Q1s.. and went hmmmmmm.. asked questions, and gradually switched over.. So, some of the things that they allowed me to do in this shop (at an extra cost - of course), that helped that switchover decision.. where upgrades that make this "Scooter" more powerful... First i got a longer seat put on it (like yours in this video).. and asked to have an ignition switch installed (to turn it on with a key).. Then the most important upgrade was putting in a more powerful BATTERY.. it gives this little badboy way more torque, speed (around 40 to 45 mph.. with me on it - i'm about 200 lbs, 5ft 11).. and the battery last way longer.. Did my first test (after 2 rainy days in Manila).. and i'm very happy with it.. it Climbs hills really cool.. just found that out coming from an underground parking lot.. and it speeds down the street. At first i was being super careful, but i'm getting more use to how it rides now, and i can see myself being a super freak on it.. GET A HELMET Before you got nuts on it. I would like to add, 2 things i had problems with (out the box).. First, the way it accelerates when you hit the throttle (its herky jerky), and trying to adjust to that.. when i told the Shop owner.. he said "oh, use this app".. and transferred an app to my phone. That App made all the difference in the world.. you are able to calibrate "Fast Start" & "Slow Start" settings that make the throttle acceleration more smoother (i had a similar problem with my Wide Wheel Pro scooter, and had to order a whole different throttle to make that issue go away)... The other little issue is sometimes the bike.. oops "Scooter" tends to want to pop a wheely.. and i have to be careful not to sit to far back on the seat when i'm starting off.. other than that.. This thing is a beast (with the battery upgrade) .. The brakes are GREAT.. & i love that there are brakes for both tires.. I added an aftermarket headlight on the handle bars that has 800 Lumens, it came with a tail light, but i don't do much night riding, i'm not sure that's so safe, with how small this thing is.. it might be hard to be seen).. But this is going to be one of my new best friends.. Searching for a Lock for it (the one that came with it is a joke).. Any suggestions???

Has about as much character as a laser printer. Platforms like this just reminds me of how lack of innovation the Chinese city that makes much of the lead-battery e-bikes were for decades and refuses to innovate still. If Honda didn't scream at them for a U-GO, if Gogoro didn't laughs at China and makes their own Gogoro, if NIU didn't try to inch away from the old clunky garbage--we'd all be using the same shit as three decades ago. Don't encourage the bunch of e-bike manufactures (all stuck in the same Chinese city) in their lack of innovation. If you want to do a Xiaomi play and slap your sticker on whatever this city exports--and have their shit break on consumers as soon as a couple of months--sure. When it comes to bicycle frames: Japan is 10 years ahead of Taiwan, Taiwan is ten years ahead of China. And bespoke bikes in UK more on the Japan-/Taiwan- spectrum out of their desire to make things with love. China's factory is essentially the last choice for bicycle makers in manufacturing quality bicycles, why would it be your first choice for e-bikes? You are going faster with the same noggin. Wouldn't you want some more safety? Personally, and I know no one is asking me, I wouldn't main with Chinese bicycle frames for a main bicycle. And I definitely couldn't see myself in Chinese e-bikes after working for an importer and seeing what they are actually made of and the lack of love going into their components.

IT NEEDS PEDALS! GODDDDD. Literally the only benefit of being a ebike is having pedals and being a legal loophole of having more than 750watt power but limiting it and being a electric moped you can take anywhere.

Mr electrohead, you keep describing batteries as : 60V, 36V. But A battery is about KW aka AMPS X Voltage = KW I feel its very misleading and leads to future confusion of people repeating it without understanding what that means. By being clear youd educated people, but by saying things like '' it was a 60V battery'' shouldnt be a thing when youre called electroheads. Dont mean to come off as harash, but its sad how no one understands batteries, and your comments just make it worse

Look at all the comments here ! Almost everybody here is naive enough to believe this is really a 5000W ebike. People, wake up! This is a 500W motor, not 5000W. It might be able to take 1000W peak at most. NOWHERE NEAR 2000W, let alone 5000W !
