Multiple people told me I have to try this Tagaytay restaurant that specializes in CHOCOLATE!! And being that I have a major sweet tooth I had to give it a try.

Tsokolateria...last syllable means place for 22:48 22:48 tsokolate / tso-ko-la-tee (chocolate ).Trademark that fingerlick! You need more than a pair of face towels in lieu! (You can get a bundle of 6 in here in the states by the way before you go.) Stay cool & safe & Godspeed!

Tostadong Yema means “toasted” Yema. Yema is basically milk and sugar cooked down and reduced. Much like caramel, without the butter. Texture is also different, not smooth but more textured.

Yema is condensed milk, egg yolks and butter, nuts, stirred in a pan until it thickens. They shape it when cooled, and wrap the little pieces in either wax paoer or plastic. Let's hope it's food grade and sold in sari sari stores.

Tsokolateria essentially means chocolate place. Much like panaderia is a bread place. Their chocolates are made from tablea. Tablea is raw chocolate from cacao beans. Tagaytay is near Batangas famous for the best tablea and “kapeng barako”. A very very strong coffee.
@aileenvargas1718

Galing ka pala sa Pamana Kurt. Ayos yang tsokolateria nila dyan masarap din ang pagkain.
@jessicaal415
@jessicaal415 Месяц назад
The rich tsokolate is usually made from “tablea” meaning tablet. About 2-in diameter size molded pure chocolate and sugar it can be closely described like the Mexican chocolate. Both made by hand in a wooden pitcher and hand whisked with special tool for frothing. Mexicans usually use other spices including cinnamon in theirs. Our tablea, besides the chocolate, just sugar. I remember my grandmother making tsokolate by hand and pouring some in a cup, then finishing it off with a slice of butter on top instead of whip cream😋

6:13 the “ch” sound is pronounced the same way however spelled differently with “ts” and not tsk. For example: Tsokolate Tsinelas Tsismis Tsubibo Overtime using “ch” therefore foregoing of the “ts” has also become acceptable. So for example chismis or chinelas and so forth.

Actually Kurt, its not an uncommon practice amongst hot countries to drink hot drinks. Arabs love having their tea on a hot day. It has a paradoxical effect. You'd think it'll make you even hotter. but the sweating out process actually cools you down.
