As someone who plays xenoverse daily, keep in mind that the “skill” in this game has a different spectrum based on who you ask. Some might consider some stuff scrubby and etc. for me, how good you are is based around how reliant you are on certain tools, and how you fair in regards to lag, but I digress. Hope the experience is good for you, mr. dad!
@@justsomeguywithamustache3188 personally, I agree. The cancels themselves aren’t a problem, every fighting game has cancels in some way or another, is just how reliant people are on it alongside it being so free that makes me not think of people using them as being good.
@@ChubbyPL4YZ I would be fine with that so long as it was either high execution to do so, or you needed to use stamina. Can you imagine being able to step out of ANYTHING for free? Literally the whole thing of risk reward and punish from fighting games would begone.
@@gutoshelp2717 yeah maybe a little stamina or ki cost. I think sparking zero does it like that with the short dash they have, it costs ki to use. Feel like that would increase skill ceiling by adding more impactful ki management and it would still look like dragon ball with the characters moving around a ton.
*Globku if you read this I highly recommend you uninstall all of the DLC and reinstall it one by one in order of release once you've beaten it* . I don't believe they fixed the DLC spam problem, too where once you hit a certain recommend level the game starts spamming DLC content at you all at once because you're finally able to access it. The big problem about this as a "new" player because it will tell certain events in the post game content story, out of order, and you'll be confused as hell to what's going on, and some times with slight spoilers to very important characters later on.
I don’t wanna sound like a backseat gamer but I recommend watching combo videos. Once I learned how to it treat like an actual fighter, I really enjoyed how intricate the combos can get. That def put it back in main rotation
XV2 is legit top 3 Dragon Ball games of all time. I has an insane amount of content and really fun gameplay! The only real problems with it are the RNG grinding and the artstyle imo.
Cant believe it's been 8 years since I first played it. I have so many good memories of xenoverse games and they're the games that made me discover dragon ball and become a fan, so they'll always be special for me
Wow I can’t believe you started your channel for shinobi striker!! I remember watching your videos when that game was announced and I thought you had been doing this for years!! Awesome to see you still going strong man. Love ya.
I think you can get a lot done and have a ton of fun without touching the pvp aspect of this game. Leveling up to 99 isn’t so bad with tp medals at the end. After though the tp medal amount gets ludicrous.
@@knownzer0755 this is not a fighting game tho, story missions are cool enough... until you finish them and want to play 3vs3 or raids, something i want badly on steam but there's no playerbase!
@@agentclank8183 honestly xv2 might be one of the best anime games out when it comes to single player/solo content. Even when the games dies out, they’ll still be content worth enjoying with the story and all the dlc
@@knownzer0755 the thing is this game isn’t solely a competitive fighting game. There is a lot to do. Story mode, parallel quests, expert missions, raids, etc. To each their own but this game has a lot of content to cover without ever touching the online PvP that much. 400 hours worth in my case.
Welcome to the sinking ship. Here we have: Toxic skill spammers, wanabe tryhards, Play station modders whose father is still looking for the milk, 3 stamina bar majins, DBS Broly grab spammers. And... The online mission helpers. -Me with 4277 hours on my old ps4 and almost 1000 on Steam
To be fair about the 3 stamina bar thing, if you have any more than that and your stamina gets broken, the match is over. There's literally nothing you can do at that point.
Full power energy blast, The first ultimate, is actually one of the better ones. As long as you only use it right after slamming your opponent back, all of the blasts home. You end up doing an enormous amount of consistent damage that is hard to miss. A lot of the other ultimate attacks miss a lot--because after you slam your opponent back they start dropping out of the air and dodge your attack.
I have a level 114 character that i lowkey just gave up on ever leveling up fully, i thought i could do it when it was just 120, then they upped it again, for gods sake, if your gonna do that, atleast leave the cost of leveling up via tp medal the same across the higher levels.
@@revenantace9940 they'll probably increase it again at some point, those bastards, i haven't been able to play any of my other characters either because they're too under leveled and i don't want to level em up.
It's been while since starting fresh, so i may not be remembering correctly, but the game story does take place after XV1 rather than a kind of "redo" of sorts. If you have data from the previous game, that time patroller is known already and you meet them.
Eyy I'm glad you're playing XV2! I bought and started it on ps5 a little while ago, and I've got a pretty decent save file already! I'd love to hop on and grind quests with ya!
If you want everything unlock you can take a modded save file But if you want to do everything and farm for months, go ahead Some advice to be average is using your ki blast 1 time after your opponent teleport behind you so you can dash instantly and don’t get punish. Ki cancel is very important. You can use your ki blast to make a ki stun, it’s when you fire a ki blast and your opponent get hit by it, he will get stun for a little bit of time so you can combo right after. Perfect guard is also very important, you can train it with time or spam your guard and pray that it work You will need to learn all the cancel, some combo don’t need ki cancel because they let you move right after. For exemple with your saiyan you can cancel (dash, sprint) after the combo 1,2,3 or 4 square then triangle. I don’t know if you want to be good at the game or just enjoy doing the regular stuff but know that this game has a very competitive community and some of them cast some tournament with cash price
I don’t see a difference if they actually added quality of life updates that ppl have been asking for for years maybe it would be worth it but literally the same is xenoverse 2 for the ps4.5
You should do all the basic elder kai training sessions, it helps getting used to the game quite fast Quick tip for dodging, hold L2 an move rapidly your joystick, not continuously. And to further understand how to stamina break and stuff focus on your character's point of view
Tbh the main reason I don’t play Xenoverse much anymore is because I love using the cast characters but a lotttt of their combos just don’t work online
You can actually combo into full power energy blast volley if you end your combo by blasting the enemy away. You can use the ultimate right after, and it will track the enemy.
Those are real CAC models, they do change the name up a little bit though. I ran into my cousins build before with his name and everything. They just took like two characters off the end of his name.
XV2 is one of the few games that satisfy my desire for a current DBZ fighting game until Sparking Zero is released. However, I only play XV2 when new DLCs are released, and the game keeps me entertained for about a week or two before gathering dust until the next DLC. Since I only play offline, there isn't much else for me to do or what to do after so long, lol.
I REALLY REALLY loved the single player experience. Id love a 3rd game with better visuals. The rpg elements were genuinely deep and great. It wasnt a shallow game at all.
Ngl sometimes i do miss playing this game cause i loved it back when it first came out. Havent touched the game since 2018 tho & at times i kinda wanna replay it but ill just wait for Sparking Zero
Second I saw "beay hero colosseum" I felt a level of pure sadness. Because genuinely that is the hardest thing to do in the game. Why? Well... Have you ever heard the definition of insanity?
They have never rereleased it, only updated it and added DLC, also releasing it on other platforms. Skyrim has been released as seperate games 5 times. If you started Xenoverse when it came out in 2016, you can play the ps5 version if you got it on pc or ps4. If you started Skyrim on release, to play the most updated version, you have to buy the entire game again. It is a completely different business model.
The answer to "are these real players" @ 8:20 is: Yes, those are real player characters. I have multiple characters in Xenoverse, and I've fought against another one of my characters before d( ̄ヘ ̄⊂) 。~
Those are real players models, they do change the name up a little bit though. I ran into my cousins build before with his name and everything. They just took like two characters off the end of his name.
Gonna make a prediction and say you're probably not gonna like this game. Its very disjointed and extremely grindy with combat that isn't very good. I think the main draw of Xenoverse is the OC aspect of the game where you make your own dude and essentially play with action figures till you're bored.
Combat is actually pretty okay I'd say at least a step above shinobi strikers, especially in team fights... just... not the pvp try hards, they make the combat look boring because they use ki canceling and ki stunning. But try hards are near the worst part of any game. Ki cancelling is banned in official tournaments anyways. But the combat ahs a surprising layer of depth when you get to the top, from learning when not to vanish, wgen to combat vanish, and getting those sweet sweet perfect blocks... and baiting them out.
So, I am considering purchasing: Dragon Ball Xenoverse + Season Pass ($9.74). DB Xenoverse 2 Special Edition ($24.99). DBZ Kakarot Legendary Edition ($35.99) & DBZ Fighter Z Legendary Edition ($39.59). [$1 10.31] I know how to spot a bargain, sure. Are any of these overkill or story wise? Is it worth getting every game on my PS5/PS4 library? The sale ends 7-17-24. Thank you:
Could someone try and open my eyes to the graphic differences a bit? From what I see is that most of the color palette kinda has more of a matte feel to them, particle fx, etc.
I will say the worst part about XV2, back then and today, is when enemies becomes invulnerable while the game waits for the dialogue to finish. The player isn't invulnerable during this time, so you're forced to combo constantly while waiting sometimes up to 2 minutes for the dialogue to catch up! It's so aggravating. I wish they'd change it to skip the dialogue.
About those characters you fight around 8:30, some missions have you fight other player's characters. With limits vs Without limits is like how in Jump Force, you could play with levels and characters upgrades being used and without em.
thanks, now ive restarted as well but since i already had ecerything my lv 1 character walked around with op moves since the beginning, a week in and im level 83 without using the namekin lvl up npc but i still gave to get 10 levels on my main character, yikes i cant count how many times i had to beat up Goku in Expert mission 17
that sad part is, that there is modders who;'ve made the game look actually pretty good, and some that have gone farther and replicated near 1-1 what the anime looks like... still in xenoverse. and yet bandai is somehow unwilling to do the same....
