It sure would have been nice to reunite Eve and Podley and have a sweet love story between them or at least some sort of renewed friendship but I do see the beauty in the sad or bittersweet way that the trouble ends (for example how Podley says "Oh, my Eve..." and how one the children asks Eve why she is crying). They both have every right to be sad but life goes on and at least Eve seems to be in a good, happy place with the kids and all. I feel that this is probably how this sort of situation would unfold in real life too (at least in most cases since past wounds can be pretty difficult to heal and meeting someone after a long while can take a lot of courage) so I do appreciate the bittersweet realness instead of a renewed fairytale love.

The first time I played this game I had the "find this guy" quest active for several chapters. I didn't find him on the pier until I saw him in the cutscene when the ship leaves for keelhaul key

After seeing you do the Luigi trouble it reminded me of a neat detail they added in the remake: if you talk to Bow in Poshley Heights you'll now get a cool remix of the PM64 main theme. Edit: you also (very faintly) hear this when Parakarry delivers Peach’s letter and the map at the beginning of the game.

I had no idea why layla liked honey shrooms as I had never seen dialogue confessing that in all my playthroughs. this time, however, i sat through all of wonky’s advice and discovered from him a thing i could do in the pianta parlor that had never occurred to me before. i definitely recommend you go explore pianta parlor a little bit if you have no idea what i could be talking about.
