This Game Could Be Your Next Obsession

Last time I was this hyped for a game to come out was when my favorite game studio started developing an MMO based on my favorite RTS...20 years ago.

If they release this thing, we all have to agree that this is the one. We all quit our mmo's and we all start over fresh. We must do this together, to send the message, and to build the future we all always wanted.

I mean, we're definitely all on copium for sure! Been burnt too many times at this stage. But I'm with you, I'm allowing myself to believe... one last time!

The only one game that i'm awaiting

All I can hope for is for is an MMO that is actually an MMO and not a queue simulator.

I think with the alpha2 testing we will get the game we want and will help move the genre forward. I don't understand why people want this game to fail.

If there is one game (mmorpg) in the last 15 or so years that will finally deliver on promises, this would be the one. Never had faith in any others. I think GW2 delivered, but that was before we really got flooded with new games. So maybe last 10 years.

An action mmorpg with more then 5 ability slots. LOVE IT

1. 3 mill was the kickstarter funding. He has/is dumping 40 mil of his own cash into it. 2. The youtube videos on ashesofcreation have many tech demonstration. Its not a question of can or will they build it. Its being/been provably built. 3. There have been tech demos and large scale alpha/server testing already that was open/streamed. Along with the monthly dev streams, there really isnt any secrets. 4. Any questions have already been answered 100 times over in the streams. Just look at the ashes of creation wiki if you need any information and the timestamps. However, they are taking their time. Refactoring for UE5 probably wasnt a help, but a necessity unless they wanted to be obsolete before release.

The game world in AoC looks so goddamn pretty it's ruining other games for me, and it's not even out yet.

The reason you think this game is coming out in a couple of years and is going to be worth it is because they have proven great improvement month after month, consistently in their livestreams. They have shown they have the skills and determination to get this done, and value gameplay over monetization.

Can't believe I didn't see a comment pointing this out, but the game is NOT crowd funded. The funds raised in the kickstarter were, I'm sure, put toward the project but Steven has personally pre-funded development far exceeding the Kickstarter funds, and that's where most of the development costs are being covered.

I've been playing mmos since swg in like 2002 Wow Classic was a amazing New world was ok for a couple weeks Ashes is our only hope

nice video bro next time could be good to hear why you belive in this proyect and what are the reasons or arguments behind it. Been keeping track of this game for some time now and looks promising but like you said the words mean nothing now and we want results this game have been in develop for some years now and they are releasing the alpha 2 soon not even beta so is looong wait to see the actual finished product. Time will tell, but 0 hype from me at least

There could be too much obsessiveness.

Not with crowd funding. They easily have made way more than their starting amount already. Like star citizen is up there with the most expensive games ever made, but it hasn't even been made yet. All from crowd funding cos people want to believe in the game. Ashes is probably gonna be just a huge by the time people are playing it. Hopefully not as broken though fingers crossed.

I used to have enthusiasm for this game, but its dragged on so long that I really doubt it ever releasing now. I think its vaporware. The next big MMO will be from Riot Games.

Nah… after being people on the first version of this game and the fact this is being made on the new engine. I doubt it will come out anytime soon if at all.

The character is so locked

i think this is the game where i saw them fighting this dragon and it's so lame. Maybe because I've been watching some Monster Hunter gameplays lately, but that dragon fight sucks.

It looks pretty but we know nothing about the systems entailing what makes an mmo work. Copium boners are strong but real tangible reasons to let then go off are far from being seen in these gameplay vids. Anything made in u5 by competent designers will look good. A full fledged mmo? Thats quite a steep change

I'll believe that it's good when I eventually play it and it's good. Not a second sooner. Too many disappointments so far.

one other thing i would like to point out encase you missed it in this video. you may want to rewatch it again to see for your self. Do you see one Defensive move any? i see the monitor mob self heal.. But no blocks, no dodges, no parry's, no Magic sheild, no sprite that shows you were hit.. just an HP bar that goes up and down. With Regen.. I mean i am not trying to blow the game up i am just saying i will be impressed when they show a complete Combat system one just one playable class.. so far i have yet to see that just a bunch of demo skills with some effects..

....wow is not just ppl tht love wow say tht but i believe ff11 and wow some the same lvl in different ways ppl tht played ff11 didn't like wow ppl tht played wow didn't like 11 so im just trying to fix the mess wow wasn't tht great ff11 wasn't tht great but ff11 from my experience has better player ideal then wow also the machine crap in wow was stupid the same mess in 14 how will you know when someone abt to do something that's why ff11 was so good machine etc don't make a game thts also why ppl so bad at pvp because thy like machine etc show me wat your abt to do so i can dodge it or block lol if this was a real fight do you believe you going to know which hand im going to slap you with lol yes i know its a game but ppl need to stop it just because a game has machine in it thy think tht game is better its not thats why i say ff11 was more harder and push you to get better and watch out what your about to attack which you would do in reallife think then act so i say ff11 beat 14 and wow in combat experience but as for story ff14 win in not trying to say the old turn basic better i believe thy could have balance it to where it keep both experience in game also the open world experience thats where ff14 fell off its to dungeon etc focus queue for this queue for tht thy could have balance it to where you can queue for dungeons or try your hand at soloing the dungeon after you lvl up but w.e

Same views as new world with a worse combat Style.
