I've watched all of these now and I can say with 100% confidence - he doesn't listen. That's his biggest problem and it's frustrating as a viewer so I can't imagine what it's like for Weak3n

Just a thought, maybe it would be easier for him to process what you're saying when you're watching a recorded gameplay of him together. He might understand the when's and why's of decision making better than when he's in the middle of it panicking. And might be able to apply it in your next live coaching.

I think the opposite actually, since the recording will be relevant to that past moment and specific situation, and later you just face new situations or play other gods and have to think over, the point is to teach quick thinking and good decision making, which can be better when you hear it real time, also builds muscle memory and the logic stays from practicing it in the moment.

Doesn’t help he’s playing off-roles but reviewing VODs of his games is a good idea. At least off-rolling he has an idea how it is for his teammates when he jungles lol

It’s not about processing the most important key factors in MOBAs like this, LOL, dota2 is reaction time and understanding your matchups. If you can’t do either of those your chances of winning are drastically lower.

He doesn't want to ult because he will die, he doesn't understand that the reason he dies is that fear itself. He is playing for the kda instead of the W. Solo mage build is hyper wasteful on goobis go for full lifesteal and be a tank. Bancroft's and Typhon's synergy> solo mage build.

Wait, people buy wards as a solo laner? You're basically unkillable if you're a tank at lvl 5 for most warriors. Sure it depends on the god, but I never buy wards and do fine.

All things in mind, people usually play anubis to actually ult their targets, but he doesn't? Odd to see him ult so little and so late, I guess he didn't want to "waste" his ult ever again after that awilix ganked him in the early game, maybe? I'm just trying to understand, since yeah, Anubis Players normally love to tap that ult button!

Just an idea but maybe coaching like this is just never going to work. I would say playing in a practice match to hammer in the basics first is a big thing. Go do a private bot lobby and get him used to playing aggressive on ai bots that way he can start to play the gods correctly

This guy is basic every rando Anubis I get on my team in Joust. Holding ult for every single team fight, then going in 1v3 and ulting by himself merely to die, and feeding 15 deaths until he F6s or rage quits. Just use your ult, it's on a 40 second cooldown at that point. What possible reason is there to hold it?

my guys be running around with 50% cdr reduction for majority of the game i realise that weak3n did not say anything because well it's not a big deal tbh just me getting annoyed by it :P lifesteal would probaly done him a bit more or pen just to sustain or kill easier in lane (think lifesteal for more farm time so to speak)

That doesn't happen. You either press it while still in animation from something else or while you are CCd. It doesn't just not go off

@SandyMan1702 I've been playing for years, and that has never happened. The times it "seemed" to have happened was a lack of my own reflexes or because I got cc'd. I used to blame it on the game until I started analyzing my own gameplay and realized I was just convincing myself it was the games fault rather than acknowledging I was too slow or the enemy caught me off guard.

As an Anubis main, I would never build tanky like that. You better go full damage, especially in early since you have great damage early, there aren t a lot of gods that can put pressure on you especially in solo lane, and in late game, you basically os people with the +15% damage, if you have great frontline players of course (which is rare saddly). And vs an Hades, I mean, what is he gona do ? You overdamage him in his ult. He ult, you ult, he s dead. Simple. But tanky anubis, I mean I never tried, but what the point. You ll have 0 heal, 0 damage, I just don t see the point. Also he needs to work on his combo. It s 3-2-1/4.
