In today’s session, we do some important MYTH BUSTING on some common mistakes we see in the golf swing.
Namely, we’ve found that the Snead Drill, or the Basket Drill, has taught people to externally rotate the femurs, making the pelvis the active rotator. This generally leads to early rotation in the pelvis, causing the player to have to “save” it, in the downswing.
As we squat in transition, we want to keep the lead femur relatively internal, as opposed to external. This delays rotation until the right time, and smooths things out tremendously!
