This happens to your body if you eat one meal per day.

We've talked about how two to three meals a day is optimal. But what's wrong with OMAD (one meal a day)?
Well, in an eight-week randomized control study comparing one meal versus three meals a day, what the authors found was that those who actually only ate one meal per day had an increase in the morning fasting sugar, they had more sustained sugar elevations, and they actually had increased Ghrelin levels.
The bottom line, it made you hungrier and showed an impact on insulin resistance going on.
Once again, the optimal number of meals per day is about two to three. Too little or too much ends up leading to the wrong effects.

Same. Also I felt less hungry when eating only once. I was pre diabetic before I started and my health has been way better. @@mastamind1988 when you have the time check out Dr. Fung and Dr. Berg they have tons of videos explaining the negative effects of high insulin. When u eat constantly and snack u are always keeping ur insulin high and overworking ur pancreas. "Insulin" is an excuse that the low carb/carnivore fanatic crowd uses by portraying it as some secret bad guy when things don't go there way when their advocates test very high for fasting blood sugar and A1c. 43 yo male, Been doing OMAD 23:1 with low carbs for 5 months now, i mainly eat fresh green salad, stir fried, steamed vegetables, grass fed beef, chicken and sea food, I lost 38 pounds with zero working out, and I work from home, I was 261 LBS and now 223 LBS, I used to be pre-diabetic, but now I have normal blood sugar levels, I was able to reduce my blood pressure medication from full dose on 2 meds to half a dose of 1 med only and complete remove 1 medication, my bp was in 160’s / 100’s with full dose and now in 130’s/80’s with only 25% of my meds. I sometimes do 2 days fast with no hunger, I find the information in your video highly inaccurate, at least from my personal experience. It is like the body reacts to everything that is harsh.. "if you give me one meal a day, i am going to keep the blood sugar high in case you give 0 meals a day"...When I did the keto diet, my body interpreted that I was in starvation mode, and it was a disaster for my health.. Thank you for this channel.....

That is very well said! Extremes never work in the long run. Finding balance in everything is key to long-term success. Thanks so much for checking out the channel. Glad to have you here.

Why would your body think you are starving on keto? Your body only thinks it is starving if you restrict calories.

I have been only eating one meal a day for many years only because i am disabled and it is hard for me at times to cook and I have gotten used to this type of diet, and I am very unhealthy I am overweight and now am pre diabetic, I found a nutritionist and a doctor to help me lose the weight and they told me they wanted me to eat AT LEAST 3 meals a day 2 meals shakes and 1 meal small portion of food and I have actually been shredding pounds. God I can’t believe I have destroyed myself by not eating a lot

Your wrong I had no problems. I didn't get hungry with OMAD. I made sure I ate enough food, healthy fats, and water. but not stuff myself and ate less carbs. less carbs lead to less hunger is the key for me.

I agree, i eat small tiny meals and i loose lots of weight, its actually more difficult to keep remembering to eat so often, compared to when i intermittent fast i dont loose half as much weight, its also far easier to fall off wagon and while you get used to it quickly you are still hungry

I don’t understand the results of one meal a day for me is a reduced size stomach, îm not hungry at all just when my meal is approaching.. And i don’t consume fast sugar at all only whole bread with grains…and îm not ingesting a lot of the slow sugar neither…

I struggle with this too. People have no idea how much of a fight and struggle this is. Feeling super guilty and self conscience about every little thing we eat. Demi Lovato wrote a song about this. I cry every time I hear that song.

OMAD works perfectly for me. It's changed everything, my weight has decreased to a healthy level, my energy levels are higher, I can work out harder in the gym, carb cravings have gone, and I feel amazing!

OMAD worked for me. I really think it depends on the situation and depends on the individual. But I do believe this should be temporary until you reached your satisfied weight. And there’s nothing wrong with having cheat days here and there. Just my personal opinion.

You’re full of it lol 😂. I went on a 40-Day water fast and my insulin levels absolutely stabilized by Day 5. Let me teach you how things are instead of you misleading people.

Ozempic and trulicity are game changers though. They massively suppress your appetite where when u eat your one meal, your not binge eating and in fact only eat an average portion.

Don’t confuse the public with ridiculous claims. All these diseases are due to people consuming a lot of food and not burning them out. So in today’s world where the physical activity is less all we need is a one time meal.

Yeah there’s actually loads of data that suggests fasting is extremely good for you. And lots of fasters that have channels will wear a glucose monitors. We weren’t supposed to eat the amount we do, our bodies were made to go long periods of time between eating. When we don’t eat our bodies do some remarkable things they can’t do in a fed state. Don’t watch things like this and just take them at their word because they are a doctor. Most doctors know fuck all about diet. Id never go to a doctor with anything nutritional related. Broken arm sure. But no I’m not taking his advice.

I use to eat 2 or 3x a day! Gosh i double my weight in 1 and a half year after high school cuz i had money so i ate all and everything i want. I just started fasting, eating once or twice every 12-16 hours. I feel so strong and healthy! My body feels stronger, my gout seems like its dissappearing and my joints are feeling better too. Of course i exercise at least once every two days and i eat healthy. I almost broke out of my fast honestly and cheated once because i felt like giving up because something happened in my life so i was like f it. But i recovered mentally and fixed my mental state to fix my physical state. Don't give up yall!
