rituals are always Konami's go-to for testing wacky methods of circumventing their own mechanics. Megaliths always hold a soft spot in my heart for just completely skipping ritual spells in their entirety. here's hoping that they get more support too.
@@countercast8816 since the inception of a certain Odd Eyes dragon I have been begging and wishing upon a star for a whole ass Megalith Retrain that made them all Ritual Pends
Not only that, Megaliths are one of, if not, THE first archetype to support turn 0 plays. Aratron, Bethor and any way to tribute 8 levels worth of monsters (another high lvl Megalith in hand, maybe you Gamma'd/Nib'd your opponent and have a spare monster on the field?, Tearalament shenanigans, etc.) lets you pop 2 while your opponent is still trying to resolve Sunlight Wolf.
Drytron will always hold a special place in my heart for the time when i was at a remote YCS I said "Alpha tribute Zeta" and my opponents immediately surrendered 3 times in a row.
The likely reason why they decide to combine the 2 archetypes is due to the constellation of Ursa Major (Ursarctics) neighboring the Draco constellation (Drytron).
And I will always hate that they combined them because now the support they have been given that was revealed a few months continue the fusion of these 2 archetypes and do nothing for drytrons
@@mohammadmurie bruh the fusion, while still not optimal cause it was a bit too hard to bring out, actually gives ursas a resource loop if you can get it out due to summoning on both turns. Plus fafnir searched the fusion so it wasnt even a garnet. That and the banish recovery, it was 100% an ursarctic card. And the new ursatron card is the only ursarctic s/t searcher and one of their best cards, meanwhile it’s just another fafnir for drytron
I know this gonna sound crazy, but DONT change your humor style, you’re unique enough with your art that that I think it lands perfectly, and if you try to emulate others it diminish that. This video was awesome. I loved it very much, hope to see another
I still can't forget the very first impression of me and my friends when we heard about this archetype's ritual spell and xyz, all of us really thought it was custom cards made to fool us until we read it ourselves and boy oh boy this archetype became our pet deck since just like the Tri-Brigade and Orcust.
I'm genuinely surprised you didn't mention the infinite turn skip/negate all xyz, synchro&fusions version. The one deck that actually uses the Amorphage ritual.
I honestly loved the thematic and how Drytrons were summoned...just a shame that the fairy tumor that latched itself onto Drytron made me dislike them with the million negates it brought with it if it got to do it's stuff. But the video was a banger and loved the art in it.
you forgot the fact that in Master Duel the motherfuckers push gas to the absolute brim by the simple fact that for some reason, Union Carrier exists, and so does Maxx Cand better yet, Eva is at 3
The Drytron FTK-OTK is now the best variant in TCG I think. If uninterrupted with Nova and Zeta you can skip turn with Amorphactor build then OTK next turn.
Fun Video. Outside of the rather loud scream segments at the start i liked the little history and just in general talk, i really like you using your (i assume) art with whats being currently talked about, and the Herald being basically adopted by drytron and they start a bromance is pretty fun. thanks for the Video!
drytron copers are just waiting for konami to slip up and print that one ritual archetype/card to bring the space machine dragons back into some sort of light. konami kind of made a timebomb of an archetype with drytron, where the moment an actually busted generic ritual is printed, it gets abused immediately, no hesitation. or, idk, maybe people will finally realize the power of my main man crab turtle.
I love Drytron just because they cracked open so many potentials for crazy ritual cards butting their heads into the game. so long as ritual is a mechanic getting support and the card isn't proofed against them, they might whip it out... as to the field fusion, that should seriously have been triamids!
The Galaxy Eyes video was the first video I watched of yours and I watched it many times because it was so funny. This one didn't disappoint either. Keep it up!! :p
this shit is fantastic, feels like the exact kind of magic feeling i get whenever watching a new rata upload despite having given up on yugioh a little while ago
Ah yes Rituals probably the hardest thing to balance, they either suck ass even with generic support cards that give them plus 1 or 2 or you give them too much support and they start breaking the game Keep the great content I love your humor
I wouldn’t say that they’re doing nothing lately. They’ve topped a lot of events and never truly fully fade away from tournaments. But I do think it’ll be a lot more of a meta contender when / if bystials get hit.
Jesus dude, i really love your videos! I hope you grow as you deserve, AND youre not a copy OF rata :) your drawings aré really good, i was laughing linea stupid with the heraldo OF perfection
I love how at this point, we dont have game mechanics, just old methods of using them, because now there's: Tributes who don't need to be tributed Fusion that work like links Rituals dont need spells or levels Synchros dont need to add the levels Xyz dont need to stack monsters Pendulum who dobt need scales Links that only need a single monster
The actual reason why ursarctic and drytron has connecting cards is because they both were played by characters in the OCG structures manga. The ursarctic deck also somehow won against drytron when they dueled against each other
Drytrons themself are cool, but i will forever hate Herald for just being one of the most unfun cards to play against, since you can't bait him and basically have to be lucky that you have more Options than he has negates.
Drytrons can still compete, obviously on a rogue level. The Field Spell Fusion is actually useful in pure Drytrons, since searching baby drytrons is sometimes hard. Also, with the new Ursarctic Bright Knight, you can search the Drytron field spell which searches the Field Spell Fusion Spell(tm), and if you have drytron Alpha Thuban on field you can just banish the Ursarctic garnet from deck. Then, make Dracossack and engage in all the heinous crimes he enables, such as linking for Cherubini and Sprind to make fucking Tearlaments Rulkallos before doing "alpha tribute zeta response?" or just using it for I:P/S:P. Drytrons is still pretty solid, don't count them as fully dead just yet. Rogue, yes, but very capable and versatile still. Just holding out for new support as always!
Imma add to the Ursarctic love and distain. RANT: Ursarctics are fun but JEEEEEESUS finding viable tribute fodder is harder than imaginable. Through my own individual research the ONLY compatible archetype that gives you advantage is Gaia the (blank) Knight cards; there are two of them in particular. These two cards are both level 7 and have a fun effect that states,"When this card is tributed..." This is important cause Ursarctics REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF LEVEL 7 MONSTERS TO TRIBUTE TO SUMMON THEMSELVES FROM HAND! So if you're cursed by any divine power like myself and you draw two or less level 7 monsters at hand let alone one if not both not being an Ursarctic card, just go to game two or quit. With that mild tangent out of the way, what about those two Gaia cards? The Gaia the (blank) Knight cards have effects when tributed where one lets you search a BLS or Gaia card and the other summons any BLS from the graveyard making it so that your loss of hand advantage doesn't end with a mid board on one boss monster or you have more cards to tribute to make better plays. With all that being said, Ursarctic support needs to be like Danger! supports DarkWorld and I cannot be convinced otherwise. Ursarctics aren't trash but require a lot of supervision and a deep look into to see what is needed for the archetype. Just a thought but they are the one of the only archetypes that can properly deal with Labrynth and Spright on their turn with them going first. Going first as Ursarctic especially with new support, you can set up Barrone, though I'd go for the Icejade Synchro or Blue Eyes Jet Dragon for protection, go into Tzolkien get crystal wing and combo off with non-level skill drain that searches any card within their archetype off an opponent special summon.
Thanks! Glad I can be something people look forward to. I went to test out the most recent format last week with Live Twin Spright and lost twice in a row lmfao. But honestly I didn't really feel overwhelmed or like I was against an unfair situation during either duel, so this format could probably be okay. Then again, I was up against Marincess and Vanquish Soul with a small Kash engine, so it's hard to say if that's really gonna be a common experience for most people.
oh hey, shout out to my boys Megalith and Triamids, who both got the shaft despite having cool ass themes. man, Predaplants, Megalith, Triamid... magikey... I really just like the Archetypes that Konami likes to shit on. Predap got lucky it was a fucking Anime Archetype given the fact that plants don't get to do anything cool for long unless they have a mandatory dragon stapled to them
I have a drytron deck in master duel that can summon Crocodragon with 6 non tuners as well as Quasar dragon. Is it good? Not really. Is it consistent? Barely. But it is it fun? Fuck yeahhh
Did bro write this script before the new ursarctic support 💀 free spell search + continuous extra deck negate is enough to make ursarctic rogue playable !!!!
