Predaplants are my absolute favorite archetype. It felt validating to see this video touch upon exactly why the deck struggled, and how Dimension Force breathed new life into an archetype that felt doomed. After Verte was initially revealed, it genuinely left me heartbroken. Giving a generic Link 2 to an archetype that struggles to put two monsters on the field and is locked out of Link Summoning by their own search Spell makes it clear that they never intended to support Predaplants in the first place. It seemed like Konami had given up and decided to make them generic Fusion support from then on. With the banning of Verte and the release of Dimension Force, it felt like the company finally realized what makes Predaplants unique, and gave them the support they truly deserve.
The funniest thing about Predaplants is that literally all their Fusions, barring Starving Venom, debuted in either the card game or the manga. You had a Fusion-user who had about a half-dozen Duels and in none of them did he play Fusions based on his own fucking archetype.
Also: Predaplants can be considered as one of the Decks with the weirdest Support in the form of Banksiogre, and why? Because he's a Tuner... In a Fusion Archetype, no, seriously, the only thing why that thing exists was for Yuri in the anime to have a way to Synchro Summon Clear Wing
No you don't understand its even funnier than that Banksiogre wasn't even a Tuner in the anime. It was just a normal level 6 predaplant. The anime effect of Ultra Polymerization made it a tuner. And because they decided to make ultra poly actually playable in the tcg, they had to actively make banksiogre a tuner for this play
I loved this, it was funny as hell. Basically the history of the deck that i had to put up with, did you know that before the last wave of support (DIFO) the best build of this deck was an "ftk"? Yep, it basically made Kali Yuga on the opponent's turn pretty consistently. The other variant was being a Superpoly bot, the play was...hope that your opponent fiddled with monsters that you can take away and turn into something better...and if they don't...well...die. Also, pretty funny to see people discovering the patchwork engine (and how broken it was) when I've been using it since it debuted. Also, subbed
Honestly I completely forgot about the patchwork engine basically being their initial only way to avoid mass minusing. But I can believe the FTK thing. A lot of rogue/lower tier decks tend to staple themselves to stuff like kali yuga or scythe locking if it's achievable.
@@countercast8816 Yep, the deck lacked identity for the most part (Being used as an engine is kinda at fault here) so we had to get "creative" and abuse whatever was most abusable by the deck with the resources at hand. Also, the feeling of normal summoning an Ophrys Scorpio and pitching a Edge Imp chains as cost, it was orgasmic at best XD.
God this content is so fucking good really hope you keep up the good work, i have to imagine these take a really long time to make but god was this worth the wait
Holy moly everything about this is gosh darn delightful. Everything from your editing too your sense of humour to your drawings Bring a smile on my face from beginning to end. I really hope you get a bunch of attention for this like you did with the Galaxy eyes video, you definitely deserve it.
What an amazing video! I bought some chimerafflesia when the predaps first came out because I loved their art style. I haven't played the TCG since then, so it was really cool to see you talk about the timeline of events for predaps!
One of my top favorite archetypes, in all honestly I’ve played all the yu boys decks at least once in my span of playing the game (honorable mentions to Super Heavy Samurai and D/D/D)
The evolution of the predaplant deck is like when you are a little weakling and after a few years you come back all muscular. as I like the arc v deck and although yuri's predaplants stayed if several cards in the anime that have not yet been printed I feel that they can continue to improve the archetype even more, the video is very good
This video appeared randomly among other suggestions and GOOD GOD im so glad I clicked, DUDE THIS STUFF IS GOLDDDDDDD!! Hope you keep making these! theyre hilarious!! the jokes and the art are *chefs kiss* perfection!! kudos to you my man!
Awesome video a fan ever since your galaxy video ironic i wanted to try out the predaplant stealing fusion shenanigans for master duels cause how meta focus they were with albez dragons but still don’t have the new support in that game yet but glad you went hard on drawing they were my favorite part of your videos that smug verte is adorable
Honestly, I'd love to see a video 'about' Red-Eyes in this style. Being one of the classic monsters that has been the most DISRESPECTED across the years.
I have no idea how I haven't seen your content until just now. This is just what I needed in my life. Thank you for the serotonin injection Mr. Tsuchinoko
i do really like that some of these arc v decks have been getting more support this year, D/D/D is my favorite one and i love their new playstyle from headhunt and deus machinex
Dimention force made me so happy when it came out. I have wanted to play predap for years but it was too shet to play. Now its one of my best and favorite decks.
This was a hilarious way of showing off an archetype, I loved it! Suggestion for the next one if you take those: Speedroids. Speedy Wind Toy Robot kids? Idk. They are all over the toy factory
Really good stuff. The jokes, ms paint drawings, and delivery is unique enough to stand out if you're semi consistent about your uploads. Keep it up my guy, i think you could go far.
I love predaps, and I love how you used terraria (and calamity) music in this video. I am absolutely blasting Roar of the Jungle Dragon every time I summon Predapower from now on.
This is in all honesty the niche that I am looking for. The only real content creator I could compare you to in Yugitubing is like Rata. Keep it up, this the shit!
I tried building predaplants in master duel, I burnt all my gems on the pack before realising that the game doesn’t have any of the dimension force cards.
This is absolutely one of the greatest videos I ever seen, so inspiring, I don´t even like or know much about predathingy, but i feel I could chill watching u talk about stuff for a while. Kudos, keep it coming!
for some reason when i started trying to play ygo competitively in 2019 i was obsessed with trying to make predaplant competitive im glad its finally getting a video of its own
Bro I'm going to tell you right now don't ever stop making content man, this video was really well done, anyone could tell you put more effort into this video then literally 90% more effort then most of the Yugi tuber community.
A really funny and well informed video about predaplants! Great editing, funny jokes, there's just this sense of energy to it all that I absolutely adore! You have earned a sub! Side note, but I think the funniest part about Predaprime fusion is that the card is legitimately playable in modern, competitive versions of the deck, primarily with the branded engine. As a 1 of, but it's the most searchable card in the deck, can use Triantis to spread counters, and can be combined with predaplanning to also pop a card on the field. It's genuinely a good card in the archetype now and I think that's hilarious because of how bad it reads
Oh yea, Predaprime is actually pretty decent now as another searchable fusion spell. I just have some major grievances with it when it came out, due to being supremely underwhelming.
I'm currently recovering from Covid and this was just the thing I needed to cheer me up! the only problem is all the laughing is causing coughing fits.... still, I enjoyed it none the less :)
Well as someone that like plants I'd say this deck is actually pretty sweet as a simple random rogue build that really crush so e things without even realizing it.
