The fact we are all weirded out by how nice and happy Gabriel is being in this episode speaks volumes about his character. We already know the reason, yet we can't help but feel more suspicious.
ya, no. Gabe had numerous chances. he dosen't care about adrien one bit. he's just like "I have nothing left to loose" when it comes to getting emmily back. it's not even about getting Emmily back anymore. he's just power hungry, confirmed in evolution, and he REALLY doesn't care about adrien, shown in Re-Creation. and pretty much all episodes since... what, season three?
@@pulsaraystudios7695 he does care in his own way, his madness took over tho.. especially this season. Probably depend how he wakes up in the morning lol
@@gabrieleronzino3745 I mean, in the leaked season finale it shows he really did it for his wife still and that he wanted Marinette to take care of Adrien, but idk.
Gabriel being a good father, yes, an illusion, this episode is incredible, and the way they threw all food at Gabriel🤣 and Determination is next, the reverse love square is coming people
How it is a good thing they "know" about the magic lightning? Keep in mind they weren't filming an akumatization, they were filming an illusion. Maybe he was replicating it as much as possible, including the power transfer, but I have to assume it was a red herring to throw them off his trail. Honestly they seem worse off then when they started. You know Lila will be spying on them.
14:44 I love this line from Gabriel the most, what he said to Nino is exactly his entire philosophy in his head. He really thinks that because he's doing a good thing, he can do whatever he wants in order to achieve it, especially since granting a magic wish will make it so that all of his wrongdoings can be righted. I just love how Nino was acting like Monarch because "who cares if someone suffers from the akuma, Ladybug can just fix it." And the fact that Marinette and Adrien were starting to agree with it is showing how desperate they are being on their mission. Maybe a darker path is being light up for them hm?
the way Gabriel just casually hits Adrien with the 'your face is gonna be the face of these rings or you're going to be a model' as though there's no third option (literally get anyone else to be the face for the ring Gabriel!) just beautifully quietly underlines that even if he does get what he wants, he's not going to be a better person afterwards.
We were supposed to see the Agreste kitchen in Season 4-Gabriel Agreste , but it was cut due to budget reasons. The creators told us that we'd see the kitchen eventually and that the kitchen would have a certain significance...
A few thing to note: Now, before everyone says anything, as of now, Nino is still in the clear as he only revealed his and Alya’s identities to the two people he knew he can trust, Adrien and Marinette. In terms of Marinette and Adrien going along with Ninos plan, the only reason they decided to go along with it is because as of now, they don’t know what more to do to figure out how Monarchs powers works, leaving them desperate enough to resort to akumatizing someone. When the pan oil splats on Gabriels new suit, his intense reaction shows how unsettled his mind has become as he continues to use so many miraculous and pursue the heroes. Every time Adrien stares at the alliance ring, he contemplates weather or not his father is truly changing and if he should abide by his word rather than stick to his own choices. Adrien realizes that despite his fathers words of encouragement over the benefits of the rings, he tries to stick by his own wishes to not be a model, regardless if its as an avatar, but since he feels guilt about doubting and akumatizing his dad, near the end, he simply decides to not wear alliance rings rather than say anything more on the matter. Although much of the public is in support of Ladybug and Cat Noir, we do discover that there are a number of people who have begun to doubt the heroes, resulting in the news to broadcast a debate over weather or not the two heroes are up to the task to protect Paris and defeat Monarch. Ever since Ladybug realized that she can try to counter monarch’s manipulation by making the people doubt his reasoning to give them powers in the first place, which is what happened with Alya, Ladybug has tried to do just that to help people learn how to resist his power.
Since Gabe/Monarch was cataclysmed, he wants his remaining moments with Adrien to be seen as a good father, but even then he’s gaslighting him to do what he says and who knows how long this “Mr.Sunshine” act is gonna be
At first I wondered why Gabriel would even care how Adrien viewed him. But I think he's trying to make Adrien to become the new Monarch as a failsafe if he dies before succeeding

@@pulsaraystudios7695 Exactly! We have seen in previous eps that he doesn’t really care about Adrien and just wants him to be obedient cuz he just sees him as a “sentimonster”
Love Nathalie glaring at the start. She no longer trusts this man around his own son. And she's right, he's so vile and manipulative. Just because Adriens spending his mornings with him and calling him dad, he's doing that because he's been told to. And now he's using the time spent together in the morning as a bargaining chip to manipulate him by threatening to take it away and make things go back to Before when he'd just be crushingly lonely whenever he's in his own house. I will fight this man. And the way Adrien parrots him when explaining why he's "okay" with the aliances when marinette asks 🤢 he's being sent on this emotional rollercoaster but still can't see that his dad is emotionally abusive because he doesn't want to see it. Even Nino at the end, he was complimentary of Gabriel because Adrien was always telling him how he wasn't as mean as Adriens experiences made him out to be. But even taking a turn to provide adrien with things that he wants, it's still all for Gabriel's own gain, his own advantages and peace of mind. Like how adriens only allowed at school in the first place to distract from Gabriel spending all his time being a super villain in that same house. I'm so proud of adrien for having the guts to ask at the end to not wear his alliance. It could've easily gotten him some disproportionately isolating punishment like was threatened that morning, or like in s2 e1. Anyway. Nino really said, my token white boy friend, your nickname shall be mayonnaise. Hysterical. Passion is coming up and it's one of my absolute favourites. Talk about a girlboss.
You may hate Nino for just spilling secrets like that, but you do have to admire the initiative he takes to help Paris. I mean setting up a group to stand up to Monarch is quite the bold move. I mean yes now Monarch has a way of keeping tabs on those who could oppose him but still it’s a good idea, because as you’ve seen in My Hero Academia, one hero can’t shoulder the burden of everything and Ladybug would need more than just Chat Noir
@@Hotgirlenergy The context for why Marinette told Alya was different. She was literally depressed and heartbroken about her status of guardian and obligated to give up with Luka. Nino in the other end just suspected Alya to cheat on him with Cat Noir and told Adrien about his secret identity (and Alya too) to prove a point. It's very different.
@@mimiquoi7380 yes but tho it was a ridiculous reason, Nino was heartbroken as well so both technically did it out of impulse but mostly stress or anxiety or hopelessness (Tho I have to admit Nino flew off the rails, it doesn’t make how he felt any less real)
On the one hand I admire Nino's initiative to want to help even without a Miraculous. On the other hand, his nonchalant spilling of secrets makes me almost furious! Like, unless he learns his lesson until then, if/when they retake the Miraculous, they need to pick a new Carapace. 'Cause at the point his character is right now, this boy, as good a heart as he has, cannot be trusted with keeping secrets again.
I love how Zamber totally freaks out about the fact that Gabriel is SMILING and to be honest I kinda had the same reaction because this is the first time for me to watch this episode 😅😅😅😂😂
As of so far what we know is that by 16 April we will have up to episode 14 however 13 and 14 will be in french. When 15 comes out on April 23rd we will then have up to episode 20 however you may have to watch them with english subtitles in a different language of you are up for that ❤
Every episode title this season so far has had a dual meaning Evolution: Gabriel using the Rabbit Miraculous and the EVOLUTION of Gabriel's capabilities now that he has all the Miraculous Multiplication: Ikari Gozen using the Mouse Miraculous and the MULTIPLICATION of Adrien's image as Alliance rings Destruction: Cat Noir accidentally Cataclysming Monarch and the DESTRUCTION of the original forms of the Miraculous Jubilation: Darker Owl using the power of the Pig Miraculous and it's also an ironic title because Ladybug and Cat Noir felt the opposite of JUBILIATED after they escape the Gift Illusion: Gabriel using the power of the Fox Miraculous to mislead Ladybug and Cat Noir on how he is giving the Miraculous powers to his akumatized villains and also the fact that Gabriel's new nice dad act is an ILLUSION.
I had been wondering what the Agreste family kitchen looked like. I believe this is the first time we've seen it. Largely I had wondered about the cooking and what not. You would think they would have a staff to do the cooking and cleaning. Granted there would be a risk for them finding the hidden elevator.
I always thought they had a private chef to cook their meals. Gabriel hardly leaves his office/lair and Nathalie is being Gabriel's assistant. They're rich enough and it would make sense to have a professional make healthy meals for Adrien since he was a model. But maybe Nathalie would make Adrien's meals since she also homeschooled him.
@@PuccaLover15 I had mostly wondered because they never showed or mentioned the chief. I figured he had enough money for one, but found it odd there was no sign of one.
@@Narutonarutonaruto85 Actually they do mention the personal chef in Origins, during the Plagg's "I need something more delicate" scene, where he throws down the dish of sorbet (because it's not ice cream due to Adrien being lactose intolerant).
ok but let's just give props to gabriel with the illusion, he did all that, aswell as talk to himself and use powers. But yeah, at the very end, I think Gabriel was being serious and wants to take care of Adrien
Pay attention to what many have not noticed. Nino is waiting for Gabriel's hand, although that villain. Marinette holds out her hand to Leela. A subtle hint that she could be the new antagonist of the series. And yes, Gabriel is father of the year, you know. Thanks for the response, looking forward to it :)
At some point I started to think Nino was the illusion or an amuk or something with how he was pushing for his plan so hard but apparently not. God I love everything about Gabriel right now it's just like when Mr Burns tried to be good and he was even more evil and creepy than before.
I don’t really think Marinette has any clue about the Alliance Since she thought that the reason why Monarch went after Socqueline was because she impersonated Ladybug so many times that he was onto her. And the reason why she didn’t use the Alliance was because it almost revealed her identity to Socqueline when she accidentally opened the Allince which revealed her steps.
y''all we all know that gabe and natalie will likely die this season, so in all likelihood, adrien is going to need to move in with his aunt, or gorilla somehow
I find it funny to re-watch the scene where they all throw food at Gabriel and just remember they're the superheroes and the supervillain. Also something I just thought of, perhaps when Gabriel is finally defeated, Ladybug will be able to fix the damage he has done including restoring the Miraculous to their original form. Could be possible?
it's so dangerous for adrien to know that alya is Rena, cuz if he somehow found out that she was also scarabela, then he would know that alya knew who ladybug was, and it's not hard to connect the dots (he did that on chat blanc with just a gift so) edit: also, ppl saying "Gabriel being a good father haha" GOOD? HE JUST MANIPULATED ADRIEN THE WHOLE EPISODE? LIKE?? AND ADRIEN IS THE ONE THAT ENDS UP APOLOGIZING😭
I find it hard to believe that the people that know Alya is Rena can't figure out Alya is Scarabella. Gabriel figured out that Alya/Rena was 'important in LB's organization', so it wouldn't be a big stretch to deduce that LB wouldn't give the ladybug miraculous to a new random person over Alya. Same thing when he showed up at Marinette's bedroom and saw Alya there. Those are bigger clues than the gift in Cat Blanc or "My Lady" in Ephemeral, IMO.
well, @IAmZamber , thankfully the Agreste ark is wrapping up. just wait until you watch Elation (Exaltation) your gonna love it trust me. it is SO worth it
From now on gabriel will be a complete different character. Actually this season is crearly focused on gabriel! His new personality is... something, really excited for you to find out what gabriel becomes during this season! I will just say... having all power affects your head 👀👀
pancakes, it will be a common thing in the following chapters, so get used to Zamber. Gabriel was undoubtedly a drama queen with the plan she made with her illusion🦊.
This is yet another episode that makes me further dislike Nino. I really don't know why, starting the previous season, they decided to make Nino a bad friend and a bad person? The fact that Nino's plan is to risk is own best friend's happiness really hit me in a bad way. I appreciate Alya's feelings for this entire episode. This season really shows Monarch's intelligence though, which I appreciate. He seriously feels like a threat now, especially when we learn that he's understanding how to better use the Miraculous together.
