THIS IS BTS! Introduction To BTS REACTION 

XCeleste, DKDKTV and Asian Theories are great channels for explanation videos. There is the also WHO IS BTS that introduces the individual members. It's a bit old but it gives you their profiles and it was also the best video for me to be able to get to know and recognize the individual members. I'm 51 years old and I'm from NZ. I discovered BTS this time last year. It's been one of the most positive experiences I've ever had. I hope you continue to explore BTS.

After Michael Jackson, BTS is the only musical act that impressed me from depth.

What I like about BTS is, not only that they are extremely talented, it's that they are also good guys. They aren't perfect. They fart, drink & swear. They are also humble, well mannered, respectful of their elders, yet can be the craziest goofballs you've ever seen. I like the fact that they are authentic. I love 95% of they're music and I respect that they worked so hard, 12 to 16 hours day, while some of them went to school then to rehearsal. I remember when they didn't have any money to buy their parents Christmas gifts and they would practice so late, they would just fall a sleep on the rehearsal room floor .

bts is a rare artist, one of those who appear every so many decades, who is able to bring people together with a good message, and who love his career not just the new doll of any company.

Thank you, Ive been waiting for this one 🥰 as for myself, Im 43 years old, was in a bad relationship at the time I found Bts. They had their song Fake love and I read the lyrics with thought, they said basically, if you need to change yourself in order to be loved, is it worth it, is it gonna make you happy or are you just gonna loose yourself? It triggered a change that had been building up in me and the next songs emphasized it saying basically, you are the one that you need to love before you can love any one else or before someone can love you. Bts gave me streangth and courage to make the big change and start finding myself and what makes me happy. I will for ever be grateful to them for that and thats why I have their lyrics Not so perfect, but so beautiful tattooed to my arm, so I will allways remember that even Im not perfect, Im still ok 👍 for Bts deeper songs, I suggest Fake love, it has an amazing mv too, and also Outro Tear, those lyrics hit hard!

I was like you once. I dismissed BTS as puppets and thought they didn’t contribute anything to their artistry. Wow, was I wrong. Yes they can play instruments (rarely on stage), they can produce and they write lyrics, usually in conjunction with the company production team. And on top of that, much of their lyrics are profoundly deep, introspective, or challenge society to think. That, to me, is what separates them from the others.

It's amazing how many BTS fans are not teenaged girls. I am 60 years old and I love these boys so much.

Very enjoyable reaction 🙂 I love seeing people find out bts are genuine humble talented guys...I dont even care if you don't like or enjoy their music, although I'm pretty sure anyone can find a few songs from their music catalog of more than 200 songs they like, but even if not thats alright, just don't go around being hateful or disliking them without knowing a single thing about them... if only everyone was more open-minded the world would be a much nicer place

People in the West always see them as this big group from a big company, but they don't know that BTS are THE underdogs in the kpop industry Groups like Blackpink who are from the 'big 3' companies gets promoted on TV even before their debut, they have a lot of resources and only had to focus on doing their job well (but ofc those idols often don't get as much artistic freedom and are usually under paid, honestly, BP would be so much better if they aren't in YG ugh) When BTS had just started, the company couldn't afford enough meals and accommodation, so the 7 of them lived in a 1 room apartment, eating chicken breast everyday (one of the cheapest meat in S Korea) As bigger companies, broadcasting stations and the media kept downplaying and shutting BTS down (they saw their potential), BTS and Big Hit got poorer and poorer until they finally got recognized in 2015 (breaking S Korean Billboard records!), they had no money to hire actors or rent cars, so they had their managers, staff and even relatives to act, and used their staff's cars for their MVs One thing about Big Hit is that from the very start, even before all the members were recruited, they wanted a group that will be authentic and write their own messages, BTS had been socially contradictory from the very start, their pre-debut free release School of Tears, their first album about hopes and dreams and societal oppression over teens etc etc When people compare BTS with other idol groups, they often neglect the fact that the kpop industry never supported BTS and their most basic foundation and purpose have been different from the very start

I've been into kpop long before BTS, there is no other group like them. so loving so charitable and so connected with everyone that loves them and no matter how big they got, they never lost their natural essence. I'm so proud of them.

36 and I have been suffering depression for years now has been helped by BTS to be okay their music have helped me literally stopping myself to commit ending my own life. My personal favorite is Moving on YT doesn’t have music video but it really hit me hard and made me a better person

I believe BTS has exposed how starved we, as a global society, are for realness and Love. They are so open and lovable and invite you to be you. Screw a critic. Screw a judgment. Be happy. Be you. Fight for You. Get to know you. If you love yourself, you will not have much energy to hate others. They are living legends already. Bang PD is seriously a Genius. 🦋💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🦋 I am a Proud ARMY 💜

To be honest, I wasn't first into BTS as I'm a jewellery designer n couldn't give much of attention to them or music in general but then when even my colleagues started to talk about them n played music while working I was so impressed that I decided to dive deeper n then boom I'm a hardcore BTS fan. I can proudly say there's none in KPOP better than BTS or even in today's band scenario. They are world-class artists. I remember last time I felt so captivated by any band was AC/DC. That's all. I'm glad BTS happened.

I discovered BTS organically. i had been listening to a few of their songs on my kpop playlist, but didn't know anything about them (as at that point i had never really researched any artists' backgrounds). After a year i decided to update my k-playlist and looked for lists on youtube like "most iconic kpop songs" etc. I decided to go artist by artist and listen to their discographies and just cherry-pick the songs i liked. i was so surprised that when it came to BTS, i had already included 50 songs on my playlist and i wasn't done listening to all their songs yet! (they had overtaken the 33 songs i had from my then-fave group EXO - i watched their movies and dramas but didn't go into their backgrounds). It's because of my amazement that i decided to dig more into who BTS is, this group who has a lot of songs that i vibed with.

BTS really stands stands out and not your typical boy band group. They are very cinematic and their music sometimes just tells their stories.....It’s not just about love or heartbreak they talk about many things such mental illness, how many of us young people are treated in society and how their voices do matter, they try give us an encouragement through their song to speak up...many of us youth have struggles too but many of us have been told to not complain cause it is a whole lot easier now than it was “back in the days”.......they also talked about loving ourselves and accepting who we are and not be confined by society. Their songs with powerful messages has helped a lot coming from someone who has Social Anxiety Disorder and some mental health issues...they really helped me through a lot of stuff and I’m so thankful and grateful for that, they’re people who don’t know many of us ARMYS yet their songs show great understanding of our many struggles~ they’re worthy of their success and the fact that they’ve continued their same messages throughout these nearly 8yrs just show how genuine they are and fame didn’t get to them at all, they’re still their humble selves.

Watch the video about Army. BTS not only sold all this albums without bundles they did it without any radio play. Army and BTS have over 370 charities around the world. They also provide help with tutoring mental health law. These boys are humble kind generous hard working people. They have gone through hell to get where they are and they shine for Army. They say BTS comes into your life when you need them the most. That’s true for me and thousands of others. Army/72 Nana/California. They kept me going this last yr. I’m devoted.

They all still live together in an apartment in Seoul.

Enjoyed your thoughts. :-) One thing about the charting, is that Billboard changed the rules last year.... now, if an artist has an album with merchandise, the price of the bundle has to be something like $3.50 more than it would have been without the album for it to count, which is still a joke in my opinion because most albums cost at least $10 for short albums or $20 for larger albums, so they are still gaming the system. BTS has also been the #1 on Social50 for several years (the social artist ranking is per week, so they broke records with how many weeks they were number 1) - now billboard has suspended this ranking while they re-work the formula on how to calculate it. Go figure. They typically change things when the artists who don't play the game start doing too well. LOL. Thanks again! Edit: one other note, I really appreciate the fact that BangPD and Bighit have not only allowed but encouraged the guys to write with their own voices, to do solo work, and the explore their different passions and interests. They truly are amazing young men, and I wish the world for them. Thank you again.

I too have been learning about their journey from beginning to present- i enjoy their music but learning about their journey really garnered my respect for them as artists and philanthropists.

Im a metal lover but BTS is like no one else. They can't be put in a box. They do it all. Rap, hip hop, pop, ballads etc., They can melt your face off or bring love and hope. And they're 7 of the most humble, sweetest, close knitted, caring, people in the world. Everyone is a superstar on their own. They sing, dance, write, produce and they do it all better than everyone. They truly came from very meager beginnings as individuals and as a group in a tiny, unheard of company. They've even spoken at the United Nations. Throw all expectations from so called dirty words like pop or boy band out the window because they shatter all stereotypes while breaking records and language barriers. And all their videos have subtitles. :) I'm die hard ARMY!! Please more BTS!!

The next day on my computer, reactors of BTS was saying, they covered "FIX YOU BY COLDPLAY"??????? WOW!!!!!!! Some could not believe it. So I thought let me pull up the lyrics and see why some were reacting the way they did. OMG, it is a beautiful song and BTS covered it will. Now I say "WOW" !!!!!! BTW I am 82 years old; be 83 in May. Some call me ARMY Grandma. 🥰 I LOVE BTS. I discovered them only about 2 years. I go back to their humble beginnings and their earlier songs to learn more about them from when they debuted. I am so glad you are taking the time to see their work. I did subscribe to your channel. Some nega peepz always have this perception that army like bts 'coz of their looks. As for me, I used to be afraid of people and tend to be kind of people pleaser, but since their love yourself era, I learn to accept and give myself some love, and it really gives positive outcome for my mental health. I muster courage to step out of my (not really) comfort zone, and try different things to become a better person, while hoping I can be a little comfort to someone. I will say, a great video. You seem like some nice dudes. Definitely subbing. I suggest the docu series The Rise of Bangtan, that will really help you a ton. It's probably the best fanmade documentary and it's entertaining and precise. It will help a lot, whether it's a reaction or just on your own time :)

The bundles are actually crazy in the US. Some artists have digital sales included in buying fake nails, hoodies, tongs and energy drinks. And that will count as sales and help push them in the chart. Atleast with vynils and deluxe release people are intentionally buying those. But some fans are not even aware of the merch their buying have those included at all. Billboard has recently not counting bundles.
