I’m 42, and the young lady is correct. My mother taught me to ALWAYS hv my own,”just in case” also how to be a “good girl”, but never taught me how to treat a man or when to leave a man. I also grew seeing my mother being abused.

Don't dress provocative! So you're suppose to just leave all your womanhood at front door when you get married. You don't show skin to be provocative. Yes my inner core is tired of being “independent “ it’s very overwhelming. Yes all of that. It’s my reality. I don’t fight for that life, but being a single mom I have to live my reality. However, I want to be feminine even in my present reality of being a single mom.

I feel like some of the information is contradicting. I’m okay with a woman being more feminine. However the first part of the podcast spoke about why women are so hard and what they teach their daughters. Well men are teaching their daughters the same things. Why is one different than the other? (Protecting yourself from the predators of this world) Also you guys spoke on the young lady that worked for you being hard and that’s why you hired her and accommodated her for that reason but she was also suppose to maintain feminine energy. You literally can’t have both because like you said in the workplace men don’t care, you guys didn’t care you wanted a beast. Do you know how hard it is to ask a woman to turn on and off when she’s suppose to be this or that. The female guest also mentioned those tough jobs are our choice but for many it’s not a choice. Maintaining a roof over your head for everyone isn’t an option. And I’d like to add taking a simple job also may mean less pay and more struggle. Many will take the hard job with the better salary because that means less financial stress and their household obligations are being met. It’s easier for a person that has someone to pick up the slack to say ohh take this route but with as many manless household most have to do what they can do and do the best they can while doing it. Again I’m not saying not to be feminine but I am saying being that person all the time when other factors exist is not as cut and dry as it’s being made to seem.
@notjustaprettyface
@notjustaprettyface Год назад
I agree wholeheartedly with everything that you've stated here! I have a Master's degree and I still keep landing positions that I do not like but they pay well and I have to provide for me and my daughter. Although her dad has always helped out, we weren't together much of her upbringing so I had to provide for us, which meant taking on certain positions that were not very conducive to my mental health and well being. I didn't specifically seek or favor those jobs but I had to provide. Also, I'm a very feminine woman and that's why most men think I'm flirting when I'm simply being pleasant but being feminine does not negate the fact that there are external factors that affect how feminine you can actually be in certain situations and/or environments. I have a staff of 5 individuals who I manage currently and I've been said by the other managers that I'm too soft on my staff 🤦🏾‍♀️ you can never win out here. You're too soft, you're too masculine, it's just all too much.

Femininity like many thing is a skill to be practiced the biggest part of it is spoken and unspoken language. Most women don't understand how to responded,act and move in a feminine way. Which is constructive, supporting and humble but not over bearing or prideful. I so happy that women are starting to understand that mindset they have learned is keeping men away from them.

Just because I attend a professional football game AND know the game, doesn’t make me masculine. I’m simply enjoy a sport that a lot of men enjoy. Just because I promote to Battalion Chief at the fire department doesn’t make me masculine. I simply work in a masculine work environment. I’m still as feminine as the day I was born. My friend’s husband is 6’9”, teaches trigonometry AND is the principal of the same high school where he teaches. Since school teachers are considered a “feminine” job and principals are considered a “masculine” position, what do we do with this guy? Accord in big to your logic, of course.

That is so spot on. Keep in mind that she is talking about "feminine energy". That's the energy that women are the happiest under, we cannot operate under masculine energy and expect to be happy about it. She is clear though, you don't have to be a stay-at-home mother or female for you to maintain this energy, we need to allow who we are to shine. We can be career women and successful without suppressing our energy to fit in the environments that were created mostly by masculine energy...... But please don't miss out that these are basic standards of being a human being! I am feeling a little double standards here, there is more to being a female - we are 1st human beings before we are females. Therefore, the moment women are looked at as the object - we are in error...

Preach! I love this episode and I think this woman expresses the issue perfectly! I'm of Greek descent and even in our culture girls are told 'be independent' and 'you don't need a man'. Even my mom has told me this and I tell her: no, I love being with my man. I agree. Women are feminine in nature so we go against our nature when we act in a masculine way. I'm a licensed massage therapist and my career is one in which I nurture and care for my clients. So, my career is more of a feminine one. But, regardless of all that, being with a truly masculine man is the ultimate. It has placed me even deeper into my femininity and it's beautiful!

This podcast reminds me of Red Table Talk, but in a more relatable way because you have non-celebrity guests who come across as authentic which makes them excellent choices. However, I only think 50% of what she’s said is true. For instance, most creative women/men are notorious for being disorganized. Trust me, that is not a reflection of our hygiene. Conversely, there are lots of men and women who are groomed to the max; however, they have horrible hygiene (I.e. STDS, mold in their basements and tie fungus with acrylic nails). Furthermore, I think it would be more beneficial to have a panel with both men and women to address femininity and masculinity. I appreciate your efforts to provide this content and she was a good guest.

Knowing what you're willing to receive is still directing without using force...like she said when we submit to being covered we can take care o ourselves and our inner value helps us set parameters on what we are willing to receive. WE make a lot of deciding power known when we are approached and when we can decipher what a man should do and how a man should cover us. What men want is not always a match we just don't need to show appreciation unless we feel we can commit and then we should submit...it should not be one size fits all. Not every woman will be in a relationship where their self care and basic needs are done for them that's be with wealthy men. So, partnership seems more attainable and non hetero relationships help people work together. Making agreements and not being groomed says this person is a groom and you're a wife and not an abusive controlling person.

Good convo. I dnt agree with the assumption regarding sleeping in separate rooms. I know multiple couples who sleep in different rooms and have been happily married for years. In some cultures, it is automatic that the man and wife have separate room. I have friends whose husband's play the TV loud and make a lot of noise in the bedroom when they are trying to sleep. There is a total lack of regard. Why wouldn't those women want to sleep in their own rooms to be ample rest?! But they stay in the room bc they want to be close to their husbands. I agree, it is very freeing to let go of control and allow a GOOD man to lead. I dnt want all that pressure. I'm not built for that. It pushes me way into masculine functioning and I can't be my true self. Polygamy is beautiful when done properly ❤. I've respected it for many years now. Aside from having a strong, fair and wise man who can handle it, the women have to really be able to love each other as themselves and work together for the benefit of the family. I tried the polygamist model with my good male friend and his wife who was also my good friend. She asked me several times to be her sister wife. I declined every time until I went to spend a few weeks with them and decided to give it a try. It was really beautiful how we worked together but I got to see up close how he treated his children and his wife and didn't want to put myself and children in that situation.

Once she started speaking about polygamy 🙄🫠. Got that Christ filter. We weren’t made for many. That’s why so much drama happens in the Bible. Every time another “wife” came about. DRAMA. 🙃 Ima head out 💪🏽.

As she stated and guys heard and we all are listening …. She has a husband who she has convince in as a MAN!! Her husband relieves stress and burden from her …. Listen to the traits she gives of a MAN!! The hard female employee held the employee accountable because males have hard time holding other males accountable. You can’t emasculate a MAN. Do what works for your relationship

Just like we have to learn and could never understand what it is to be a man, the same is true vice versa. There are women who are bosses at work but have no desire to be in charge at home. It's exhausting to have to be the boss in both places. The approach has to be balanced. There are women issues and men issues that contribute to a woman not being able to take off her boss hat. Let's not act like there are men who women can't depend on. That contributes to the issue along with the things this young lady is mentioning.

I understand what she is saying. One thing that adds to this is becoming a teen mom. Taking on so much responsibility at a young age. I would love to contribute to this conversation with my book ON THE VERGE OF SEX

28:44 after watching up to this point, im very intrigued by these concepts. I know a person who basically has always lived off of women and let’s the woman initiate most of the decisions, however get him into a space of all men and his energy dominates. He becomes the “alpha” presence. I feel like he could be a case study seriously.

My mother was a leader her entire work life, and for several years was the only woman in the room. She was never masculine. The speaker is right, it’s a choice

Idk why any of it matters _(or why these talking points still exist 😭)._ This gendering of personality traits/ energies/ etc is a lie. Be whatever you need to be at work, as long as you don't abuse, manipulate, hard, do illegal/ unethical practices, etc.

Marriage is between two people - if the man loves her and is strong in prayer God will balance it out. This idea that there are people who shouldn’t be loved is not right. Many people are damaged and love can change things. Go out into the world and open your eyes

I found it interesting how this guest discussing feminism as a “coach” never mentioned the need for a woman to feel safe and protected to relinquish this “feminine energy”. This is not feminine energy just because “she” was willing to say only the things that they want to hear. Her Interview felt steered and directed. Not fake but isolated and personal. This oddly is her experience as I do not think it speaks for all or most women. Feminine energy isn’t speaking in a whisper or knowing how to portray submission. I’m not saying the Scenarios mentioned didn’t contribute to the dysfunctional homes she coaches I’m saying too many men are looking for queendoms to over-throw to seek shelter then blame her for not being worthy of his choosing to stay cause her throne didn’t fit his bottom. Be careful when your need to be Lion King reflects the animation of your story Vs the story.

The beauty of being a women is the ability to be masculine and feminine in any given time. She can produce leaders and do so gracefully. A feminine woman can boldly speak sweetly to the most masculine man and settle peace in his mind and spirit. The focus should be on the power of woman. The Bible shows many examples.

The generation I see developing a more free and non hetero normative way of dating means as long as there's a balance of feminine and masculine energy not in terms of gender or roles it can work...like assuming one person is masculine presenting and feminine in their expression and there is a feminine presenting person who is masculine expressing completely on their own not off truama but just off being unique they would work and balance each other out ...in non hetero relationships people work more of energy balance than gender + sleep like shut eye in older couples involves separate beds one person will suffer for years because of someone snoring and falling asleep faster...there are ways where partnership should be superceding gender roles in our society...khemetic society surpasses even our modern one because of the lack of imbalance as far as advocating as a woman and not being dominated by hyper masculine culture that makes no room in itself for rest which benefits society in general. People have less accidents and fights like in eastern culture women are still valued as healers of the household, so they need certain accommodations because their energy is essentially part of the culture.

Proverbs 31 specifies it very well, a woman in her word is a woman who knows. Her background won’t matter when her focus is in God and what HE says. There are so many opinions, at the end of the day men and women need to seek God that’s the solution for all of this!! ❤❤
