Good points. The thing is, when we see our ex being happy we take it as a personal attack because it is our ego talking. We take it as a lack of respect or as a punishment. It is not, it is part of their process (apart if they are some terrible assholes).

i got told to go no contact 2 weeks ago. it's been tough but I ended up going to paris for a few days. she basically told me we would never be a couple, that i needed therapy and that I was an idiot with too much money. said she's going to start seeing other men and that we should do no contact but she'll be in touch in a few weeks. no thanks, i'll just live my life and move on. if she does try to contact me, I will be polite but I am done. I went into NC for only 1 day after I serial texted her. Now she is texting me and reaching out to me . I do so much better when im in NC it gives me strength and allows me to heel. But what if it’s your husband, 17 years together and 14 months into separation he may be not totally happy but still won’t come back. NoContact is a self-respect-move. (I love that advice you give!) Period. And it is helpful in healing/moving forward, faster.😉 like ripping the bandaid off quick 💥. NoContact always works BECAUSE the sole intent is to get into the POWER POSITION. IF the ex comes back and you still want them, then that is the bonus only, not the purpose.
