The Wildemount Guide Q&A Fire Side Chat got a little heated. Clean your chimbleys and check your fire alarms folks!
Chaos aside it was really wonderful of Matt and Marisha to host this stream. I know a lot of critters, myself included have missed the CR gang a lot and its only been two weeks!
I've been in a bit of an editing slump lately but the joy of this stream inspired me to jump back in. Just know that it's ok to feel anxious in these unprecedented and crazy times. Find some joy where you can and be kind to yourself and others!

I love how they probably were like "how funny would it be if we came back looking totally disheveled" and marisha went all out and matt comes back with his gorgeous hair. At least I hope that they purposefully made themselves look disheveled because it's easier for me to deal with than trying to figure out how they got that dirty from just dousing a fire and clearing smoke

What i love about this is how perfectly foreshadowed it was. Them being so excited about the fire, then mentioning the flue was giving them trouble, Marisha openly saying she hopes the chimney doesn't catch fire, and then the tension slowly racks up until they have to sit on the floor just to avoid the smoke- God, it's just... *chef's kiss* it's perfect

Finally started watching CR after the show in Austin. I am currently 12 episodes into the 1st season and listen while grading assignments. They are helping keep this teacher sane while long distance learning and I cannot thank them enough! I had a flue do this once, and it made this entire bit even funnier. I'm sitting at home, coming back from a grocery run before a snowstorm. It's flurrying now, the snowflakes getting bigger by the minute. I get a chill, and I went to see if the fireplace is good. I had a flashback of watching this live. I am now under 2 blankets, away from my unlit fireplace.

Might need to get chimney cleaned, build up in it could keep smoke from leaving. You also need an exhaust fan of sorts to 'help' the majority of smoke up.

I had literally just finished watching this when my little black and white cat appeared round the door. Except she wasn’t black and white she was just black, with a soot trail leading back downstairs to the living room hearth.
