That is SO funny about the RV bootcamp!!! And, I know it's true about people expecting you to teach them about Rving. One of the first times we came to Thunder Canyon, I remember a lady showing up in a big Class C. She didn't know how to park it or hook anything up. And, you did help her and teach her. You didn't have to, but it just shows your character. I am sure you guys could write a book about what you have seen since opening. Great video.

I remember this video so very well, thinking what a bold and ambitious vision now brought to fruition! God is so very good! Y'all were laying all of your "treasures" at the time at Lord's feet, trusting Him completely. Few have the boldness to go all in with their faith in such a way. John you didn't lose weight, you shed 90 lbs of baggage. Mercedes you didn't gain weight, you built muscle. Watching through your videos of how much the Lord took you through separating the wheat from the chaff, both in your own lives, but also through the those who came and stayed the course vs. those who came and went is a lofe lesson for all of us who love the Lord. Love your story. God is so faithful! We finally moved to Section, Alabama, from PA, about 29 miles from Thunder Canyon. We hope to come visit next spring after we build our new home. We thought we wouldn't move until September. Here is another example of God's goodness... We put our house on the market on a Tuesday, had people check it out on Wednesday, and got a cash offer $5,000 over asking. They waived all inspections, and closed in less than two weeks! Our realtors couldn't believe how it all came together as it was unusual for our market area.

We are also in process of building "community" at the campground we are managing near Branson. The owner has conservative values and loves his "people" that are long-term here. It is an incredibly beautiful area in the Ozarks and my wife, and I are excited as God brought us here also. God, Family, Country is a fantastic motto that we also follow. John and Mercedes, does Thunder Canyon have a Storm Shelter for the visitors. We saw a campground we previously had a 6 mo lease get wiped off the map by a tornado on Lake Ray Roberts in TX this year. If not please put your heads together and pray on it.

Love the frequent posts! I stumbled onto a video while you guys were 5th wheeling all over, loved y'all, caught up and followed ever since! I was able to do a quick stop over, a while back, just returned & was SO relaxing peaceful....luckily I was able to extend my stay a few days, but would liked to have stayed longer. You DO offer RV rental, for those who want an experience. For those who need lessons, try CHARGING them for all the sessions posted free with Mercedes peering over her glasses.... They can't buy the next series until they complete and pass the quiz! LOL *more than one way to vet ppl.

Thanks for sharing this, it really brings back memories for me. I knew that I felt strongly that I wanted to be involved, but I just didn’t know how. As time has passed, I still don’t know what my involvement is going to look like but I feel just as strongly today that I am supposed to be involved. Every time that I think things are turning in a direction that would allow me to be more hands on, something goes sideways. I still feel that God has great things in store for TCCG and for you guys. You two are priceless! Love you'll. (South talk) I remember when my husband and I bought a 30 foot 5th wheel about 1999. No one teaches you how to drive it or anything. Scary stuff when you think of the weight you're pulling down the road. The state makes you get a DL endorsement for a motorcycle but nothing for a motorhome. Crazy. (Not that I want more laws and regulations.) I love to watch your smiling faces and great attitude. Keep up the good work.

I don't get a chance to watch all your videos. But I will say that you are very down to earth people. You offer great advice and a positive attitude even through your struggles. I most likely will never visit your campground but if I am able to it looks like a beautiful spot. Thank you for sharing your adventures.

Wowie, you two really followed God through this. How scary those 1st steps must have been. I have only followed you for maybe 2 yrs. Thank you for following God's plan with the RV odd squad. God bless you all. We can't leave our state (sad i think wrong kind but will be here until God takes me home) because of health concerns.
