I've done quite a few renter-friendly room makeovers so far, so I thought I'd share with you my process from start to finish when designing a room. In this video I share my seven steps when planning a room makeover.

I had 800 got junk remove a two seated sofa and a large hutch with limited space from my bedroom recently. I swore I was not going to buy another piece of furniture, but it did need something where the sofa used to be. A few weeks ago I spotted a console table by the Salvation Army bins and brought it home. Cleaned it, sanded it and brought brand new acrylic sheets for the top. Also covered the bottom with a lovely bird and leaves design wallpaper. I chalked painted it in a lovely adobe sand by Behr and waxed it. I will be using an LED lighting strip just below the top of the table for effect and additional lighting and then adding storage baskets. All because of your inspirational videos! 🤩

I can’t tell you how much pressure I felt lift off me when you said “in these video’s everything comes together in a couple of days but that’s because I spent months in the background gathering pieces” 😮‍💨 I needed to hear that. I guess I’ll stop beating myself up so much about the time it’s taking for my new place to come together

Thank you! Will be moving into an apartment for the first time in a LONG time and I love all of your renter-friendly and diy ideas. I have seen other designers mention Milano the, but couldn’t wrap my head around how to use it, so thank you for the explanation.
