I got the chance to visit and it was incredible! It was actually pretty handicap accessible too. (Elevators, ramps, etc.) You may want to check with your church to see if they would be interested in getting a bus together to go visit if you can't drive yourself. btw, I don't have any affiliation with them, just a really good experience.

Last year I took my 85 year old mother, we rented a wheelchair and she put her oxygen machine in the basket. You can do it.

No, it didn't need to be what we would consider a traditional ship. It was more of a box. There were no sails or other means of propulsion. There was no rudder to steer. Noah had no control at all over the direction it would go. If you look at the dimensions, the thing was shaped like a giant coffin. Noah's Ark was the symbol of death. This is a great example of a "baptism" occurring in the Old Testament. People went into the water, looking like they were going to die, but then emerged alive. Another example would be Moses leading the Israelites across the Red Sea. He parted the waters and they walked across on dry land, not water puddles. They went down into the water where they should have died, and came up on the other side alive. Conversely, Pharaoh's army went down into the water as well, but without God's protection, they drowned. When Moses was a baby, his mother put him in an ark and floated him down the Nile. He was supposed to die. Pharaoh made a decree that all the male children should die. But instead of dying, Moses was pulled out of the water alive, to be taken in by Pharaoh's family. In all 3 cases, the difference between life and death was faith. The people who trusted God and put "feet on their faith" were the ones rewarded with life instead of death.

?? If it didn't rain before, then timber trees would not grow. If you say the Ark wood is basically supernaturally good, then where are all the wooden objects from that period? There should be thousands of artifacts laying about. The whole Ark story is a fabrication, and ridiculous, and child can poke huge holes in the story with authority. Parallel civilisations around the world at the time of the Noah story didn't see a flood, so the story is a hoax. The authors simply didn't let logic get in the way of a good campfire yarn.

But you are not making any sense here at all, because what exactly would Noah be preaching though? There are no 10 commandments, no churches, Christianity doesn't exist. And if the ark is built to specific dimensions, to hold specific amounts of animals, and people, why would he open his mouth and blab for more people to come on it and risk sinking? What happens when the whole world wants to come on this ark? What would be the point of God flooding the world, and telling Noah about it, if Noah was going to go behind Gods instructions and start converting the world, into righteousness. Not only would the ark sink from the extra weight on account of thousands of people coming on board, not only would there be fighting, and cannibalism on board due to lack of resources and food, but it would defeat the purpose of ever sending the flood, if Noah was just going to transport all the people to the new world One more thing, if God didn't apear to the rest of the people, and He only appeared to Noah, why would people believe Noah, when he tells them high waters are coming. That is a deep question for salt water is heaver than fresh water. So your answer would be found in the depth. Salt water is heavier (more dense) than fresh water (because of the salt dissolved in the water) so things have different buoyancies in the different types of water.

It was pangaea. Plate techtonics separated the continents while they were completely under water.

Well does it seem plausible that man were created from the dust, or that serpent actually spoke in the Book of Genesis, or that Bible is actually from God? My kids first saw snow at age 7 or 8. They could not believe what they saw and touched.

Judean men of the time period were on average about 1.65 metres or 5 feet 5 inches in height. A 5 foot 10 inch person in that time would be impressively tall. And a 6 foot person would be damn near a giant. So no, they were not bigger than us. They were actually way way smaller at 5 foot 5. And in terms if smarts? intelligence increases through the ages. It doesn't decrease. If it did we would be in caves, and not skyacrappers.

The problem with this is that a man that can live up to 800 years, and give birth to children even at 150 years, means that he could father as much as 100 children if he impregnates a different woman every year, for 100 years. If this is true, than the world would be filled with athletic, large, and intellectually superior human beings in a short amount of time. If this is the case, then why is it that civilizations technological, medical, socio economical, and moral advancement, is much advanced now, than it was back then, if back then, they were smarter and healthier than we are? But an 800 to 900 year old human being, surrounded by other human beings just as healthy, would have had enough time to build nations in just a thousand years. And not jusy nations, but intellectually advanced nations. And we are not talking about ten or twenty 900 year olds, we are talking about hundreds of thousands, that can think, that can plot, and that can discern collectively. The speed at which a world full of practical immortal geniuses, should have triggered a serious compound effect of discoveries. So much so, that the cures of many diseases would have been discorvered in their lifetime. They wouldn't wait for us to create penicillin. They would have done it themselves. Noah could have set up a science school. The guy lived for over 900 years. He would have documented how he constructed the Ark and teach it to his grandkids. He would have studied animals, their natural habitats, he would have spurned the age of enlightenment way sooner than 1600 AD. He would have foreseen the need for record keeping, others would have forseen this too. And their collective efforts would have pushed society so far into advancements, that they would have preempted that mankind would need proof of what occured in biblical times; and they would have recorded this proof. What we have instead is the bible. A book that tells us of stories. Don't you think a 900 year old being running around earth (Adam) would have had the intellectual resolve to say more than "God threw me out of Eden"? Don't you think a man that built a floating city (Noah) would have left records of how exactly he did this? Don't you think his generations that followed, who equally had this gift of longetivity, would have expounded on these records? With all this, maybe the time it took the Wright brothers to discovered flight, would have been halved, and most likely planes would have been constructed by earlier people.. Now you could use the tower of babel as an explaination. You could say God slowed down our advancement, by making us speak different languages. But more languages, doesn't inhibit advancement...it promotes it. And if the tower of babel was built 4,200 years ago, 100 years after the flood, it means Noah *was alive* . Noah died at 950 years old. The Tower happened when Noah was 700 years old. Different languages would simply intrigue Noah, and further his pursuit of knowledge. This is why I say, this theory of them being smarter than us, doesn't add up

some think that because they were so close to creation that they wouldnt have been enough time to accumulate bad genetics or mutations so they may not have had cancer, alcoholism or heart disease some diseases came later on. also the atmosphere may have been different than ours possibly more water in the atmosphere so less radiation from the sun and maybe they had a better diet with no chemicals or processing like we do we only live longer than some earlier people because of medical advancements. i should note there were only 21 people that lived these long ages and i think 11 were before the flood so this also may be why we havent found bones aged to those years.

the story in genesis wasnt written when it happened it was written later on and the people that wrote those stories were populated by noahs family. stories through the grapevine change but we do have 200 cultures around the world that speak of a global flood because they were all populated by the family on the ark. theres even a chinese symbol that shows a boat with 8 people so who knows.

the book of jasher is not in the bibles that we have today they left it out for good reason.

If it happened, not only would it be a mass killing, but it would be earthicide. The extinction of planet earth. Because the high tidal waves would be just too much for a wooden structure. We are talking about a 700 feet rise of sea level, that covers the entire earth. The planet would be a living raging stom. The ark would sustain leakages. There would be damages that would require a fleet of engineers and cabin crew to be on board. Even the most secure submarine sustains damage, and needs all hands fixing things atvall times. Who was in chatge of maintenance? Noahs wife? A submarine goes through so much complexities, and that's reinforced steel. The ark was just wood, carved out by hand. Time and the elements would rot the material. Water would get inside the place. The raging winds and angry waters would reak havoc on the structures integrity, and eventually, it would capsize, either by winds, waves, a floating dinosaur, or a combination of any of the 3. Even the thought of a man building a thing that big, for that long, dedicating that many years, would invite too much attention. Robbers. The inquisitive. Stray animals. Noah would go mad. And not only that, one has to realize that if indeed the earth was just water, ut would mean that your typical 30 foot wave, would be magnified to a hirrific 700 feet, because now it's tge power of the whole planet that is behind the movement of the waters. And those waters have multiplied. Making it a raging force of thousands of Tsunamis. The ark would be destroyed. It is ludicrous to think otherwise

Imagine the amount of knowledge and skill a 500yr old man with the mind and body of a 30 yr old genius nowadays in comparison. You have NO idea how big of an advantage this would have been for everyone on earth to utilize and just look at the craftsmanship building the pyramids and the like. We cant even get that degree of precision today, so what other technology and forgotten craftsmanship would have been lost in the flood time? To dismiss it would be absolutely foolish!

Imagine one with 600+ yrs of experience and a body still in their 40's of today eating only organic whole foods and a work ethic not seen today. @TboneWTF oh ok, it must be because you say so. The real ark wasn't found on a mountain top. It was found in a mountain range. A metal detector found large nails about every 5 feet. It was marked end to end with ribbons, with a top-down view. It makes an oval the size and deminsions of a ship. A sample of the materials were analyzed in a laboratory. It contains wood, iron, steel and titanium.

It’s a fairytale. And Noah and his family inbreeding, look at a family in West Virginia inbreeding, one barks like a dog, and all of them are mentally regressed. I guess you didn't hear that Noah's ark was found decades ago in Turkey by Ron Wyatt which has been confirmed by many different technologies that have scanned it's construction and it matches everything told about it in Genesis! There was a Chinese expedition that explored an opening in the rock and ice and took videos and images of some of it's interior and revealed even more evidence confirming it!

The entire Turkish government has recognized it's validity and opened up a visitor site there! Thousands of tourists go there today to witness it! I've been following it's progress for years now and there is no doubt in my mind that it is real! If your interested Ron Wyatt also discovered many other Biblical sites, like the Red Sea crossing, the true location of Mt. Sinai, the true location of Sodem and Gamorrah and Jeremiah's grotto where he found the cross hole with the Ark of the Covenant underneath it with the blood of Jesus on it's mercy seat! If it happened, not only would it be a mass killing, but it would be earthicide. The extinction of planet earth. Because the high tidal waves would be just too much for a wooden structure. We are talking about a 700 feet rise of sea level, that covers the entire earth. The planet would be a living raging stom. The ark would sustain leakages. There would be damages that would require a fleet of engineers and cabin crew to be on board. Even the most secure submarine sustains damage, and needs all hands fixing things atvall times. Who was in chatge of maintenance? Noahs wife? A submarine goes through so much complexities, and that's reinforced steel. The ark was just wood, carved out by hand. Time and the elements would rot the material. Water would get inside the place. The raging winds and angry waters would reak havoc on the structures integrity, and eventually, it would capsize, either by winds, waves, a floating dinosaur, or a combination of any of the 3. Those are good questions. There was a 7 day window that the ark was left open for those that wanted to get on. They had a choice like we do today. God didn’t just select a few he wanted to save. I believe he would have let anyone get on that wanted too. Just like Jesus having his arms open today to let “whosoever will” be saved.

And with it, the convinience with which we can communicate, today. Therefore everything Noah did would only be privy to the rest of society, only through word of mouth, or sight. That is if you were within a radius to actually see him building the ark. Now with over 1 billion people scattered all over the world during the pre flood times, how on earth would Noah have communicated this approaching disaster to so many people, without the aide of any of our current telecommunications? Even more disqualifying of this notion of Noah and God giving others a chance, is that if the arks door had a 7 day window, before ot closed, supposing all those billions of people decided to go into the ark. Supposing they all wanted to be saved? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of God sending a flood in the first place? If the world he intended to destroy, simply migrated to the next world?
