I change sheets at least ONCE a week, if it is summer i do it every 3 or 4 days. If there is some stain or body fluids on I wash it that instance. Most sheets i use are white or gray and i wash then on highest heat something like 90° C. If sheets get some holes and fabric is in bad shape, we recycle them or throw away. If there is some rash on my skin, i wash bed sheets even more often.
@@Idkjustyet a lot of people don't have the time. It also depends on when they shower. I change my sheets every two weeks but I shower at night, before bed.
I change my sheets once every week or week and a half on average. I’m a single guy. I don’t go through all the stuff he stated. I throw them in the machine with some soap and other clothes until it’s almost a full load. Turn it on cold/warm and then dry on high. Never had an issue.
i dry on delicate and take them out before they're completely and let them hang & air-dry, but that's because I don't want to burn the fibers, shrink the sheets, or cause piling
People with dust mite allergies need to wash sheets as warm or hot as possible for the fabric, and dry fully either by dryer or in sunlight. You are probably not allergic to the mites.
Emily Post reccommends three sets of sheets for each bed and two sets at the minimum, alternating the sets by week. Sheets should be washed every week or every two weeks at the most.
If you dont wash your sheets in hot water its not killing germs. Tbis is why i sleep in my bed or take my own sheets. Bc everybody washing habits are different. Ocd is a bjt$!
GOOD LIVING, I have a set of sheets that I use during my menstrual cycle that I don’t worry about a little blood stain. Otherwise, if I need to, I will first rinse the affected area in cold water to remove the blood, then proceed with hot water for the actual wash cycle. I ALWAYS wash sheets and towels in HOT water.
I can’t believe some men only wash there sheets three time a year. I’m a single man and I wash my sheets at least once a week, sometime more. I also make my bed every day.
Me personally once a week if the weather is hot, for obvious reasons. Sometimes within upto two weeks if the weather is cooler because I can't fit all my laundry in a single wash I have to plan a later wash. I always keep the mattress sheet ventilated and the windows open plus I usually shower twice a day. I do feel the benefit of clean sheets when I want a decent night's sleep.
Solution for that woman, but another set of sheets for each bed. You get some cheap ones so there's no excuse to only have one set per bed. Bit stupid really to complain about it.
@McKenzie Smith that's stupid. I just bought 2 more sheets for $12 each at target and on Amazon. It's not that expensive. I only have 3 but she should have at least 2 per bed
@@leklekjasmine416 hell im grown and i only have one set at the moment. It does get wash often bc i have a washer and dryer at home. I dnt like cheap sheets also i have a king size so my sheets cost me more than $12.00. I have too many more important things that's taking my money. You don't know this woman situation. Im glad you was able to find you some sheets for $12.00.smh
I wash my hair and shower every night. I also wear undereear and pajamas. I change them every 2 weeks. I have asthma and allergies so if I'm sick I do more often.
Wash as heavy duty load with cold water detergent and oxi clean... i wash twice and rinse twice... low heat dry... also if you have a mattress protector wash and dry it the same way.
Not healthy nor is it good for the longevity of your bedding. Just cleanse your face before bed and shower. You can rotate your pillow flip it over if you’re that paranoid. Then use your other pillow. Once a week is fine and even once every 2 weeks unless you get into bed dirty without showering.
I change my sheets and pillow cases at least once a week. Wash at 40 degrees C. The lady who spends 3 hours washing and drying her sheets - you don't! The machine does it for you! The amount of time you actually spend spend stripping the bed, washing, drying and remaking is probably no more than an hour even with a family.
If you find yourself dirtying up your fitted sheets faster then once a week use the flat sheet over the fitted and after a couple days take it off and sleep on the normal fitted sheet and after a couple days wash both and repeat. That way you are not over washing your sheets and they will last longer and you’ll feel cleaner on your sheets.
so when washing sheets doni wash mybsheets with a gentle detergent i wish there was soap for sheets specificly unless youncan just wash them with a gentle detergent 🤔 beacsue inalways wash them with that but im curious what everyone uses ? what kind of soaps people use to wash there sheets with 🤗🤔🤗
You should NOT wad sheets to wash. The agitation is what actually cleans laundry. Shower before bed, wear clean clothing to bed and washing sheets every two weeks is fine unless pets sleep in the bed or you eat in bed, then you need to wash every week.
Thank you! All it does is trap the dirt and skin that he was complaining about and doesn’t let it rinse out as it should. Last time I let a man lecture me on HYGIENE, of all things.
Please don’t wash your expensive cotton on a hot wash especially Egyptian cotton. it will ruin your sheets. Put it on a 30 degree wash or lower and use baking soda with a little detergent, preferably a detergent that doesn’t have bleach, you could also use some white distilled vinegar. Stay away from fabric softener.
An adult who bathes every day and is not sexually active, can probably go up to one month without washing their bedsheets depending on the climate they live in - unless they have health issues that require their sheets to be washed more often.
Yeah, people totally missed what he said. Read the tag and wash on the higher temperature. No bed linens read anything higher than warm. A girlfriend of mine ruined more sheets laundering in hot water, fabric softener, and too much detergent, along with drying too much. And you don't roll everything into a ball, the washing machine will be bouncing around the laundry room.
I can’t believe that single man wash their sheets three times a year. I’m a single man and I wash my sheet ever week, unless I’m expecting an over night guest then more. I wash my mattress cover and steam my mattress every three months.
I am sorry, but I don't agree with how he washed bedding. I wash all sheets on a sanitary cycle, Extra Hot water, Heavy soil level, Extra High spin speed, PreWash. I rinse the bedding with vinegar.
Discusting to crawl into a bed that hasen't been washed in months. Gross and if you men want yhe women to come back then wash then asap.hot water is best. I hang mine outside to dry in the sunshine but if you have allergys then dry on hot setting. Kills germs and makecthe bed feel so good
Retired Early 53 That really depends on the husband, the wife and what each of their expectations are. I am sure that if a husband has a wife that just changes the sheets on her own without asking him to do it, it would actually be appreciated by the husband. Fresh sheets are a pleasurable experience that most people seem to enjoy.
For his wife to change his sheets like mommy would 😂 Grown men need to act like adults, not children - that is how my parents raised me - and I’m still a teen! My mother is not my maid, and my future wife sure as hell ain’t. I know how to use a washing machine and a vacuum and my room is the cleanest one in the house. If anything I’m on THEIR case as to why their room is a mess or their sheets have been on forever.
Washing the fitted sheet in hot water or drying it in the dryer will ruin the elastic, as with underwear and socks. Always wash stretchy clothes or elastic in cold water and line dry.
Yea he’s full of shit. Complains of the dead skin cells but then balls the sheets up so that there’s no chance for it to be cleaned and rinsed properly. The woman was in the wrong too, just buy another $10 set of sheets. She’s making life hard for herself needing to wash and dry the same one immediately after. You don’t need 10 spares, just 1 spare for each bed to alternate with is the common sense solution.
Moms and dads need to quit raising bummy guys. I get stuff changes for busier seasons but for a regular standard it's not acceptable. My parents are messy and I turned myself around so no excuse.
Waste of water, electricity, time, money, detergent and everything in between. Once a week is enough - and it looks like a lot of people can’t even do that…
I change my sheets every 8-10 days so about 3 times a month. I feel disgusting if I don’t. I shower then get into new ones. People who don’t do it at least 2/3 times a day month are gross 🤮🥱
