2:32 This kid is one reason why when people rag on his generation, they are so wrong! AND, this is one reason I'm not afraid for the future. Millennials and Zoomers are the best educated generation we've ever had in the USA. Sure they'd like to work in closets away from people...but they're smart and can articulate their ideas very well. how many of our generation (Gen-X, BTW) would put out some kind of report on how to double the gear ratio on a transfer case, much less produce a video detailing the process? As long as they keep using their talents for good and not storming a capitol or something, we're going to be okay.
I am glad I ran into your video, I am new to working on jeeps and am the proud owner of an 89 yj and I love to get creative also and your video has opened up an area to me that I find very interesting and will be experimenting with some of my own ideas also.
How well has that set up worked for you over the last 10 months? I stumbled upon this by accident with great timing as i wanted to do a rubicon swap on my 06 lj. Hreat video. Curious as to durability. Thank you
Sweet looking mod, but after using some farming equipment vehicles, this " double low" is still pretty fast compared to tractors.far better than stock for sure.
Just had a crazy idea watching your video.... keep the original 4wd output shaft on the front case and adapt it to be a PTO for a York or Sanden compressor for some on board air! I wonder if it can be done... maybe that case needs to be flipped 180° but I bet it'd work.
@@gageboysgarage6059 unfortunately I don't even have a 4wd 😂 hopefully one day... just a Subaru Impreza right now. I've been hooked on the idea of overlanding since the first XO videos
@@gageboysgarage6059 looks like you might be able to hook as many range boxes as you want if you were looking for stump pulling power 😅 lol . Just imagine 4 of them hooked together .

Thankyou for the video I've been reading about doing this for a long time but I'm a very visual learner. Seeing this made alot more sense!, liked and subscribed!
So I looked at the website the deal with the bolt pattern. There were two options a "hex" 6 bolt and an offset 6 bolt? So maybe there was a mix up.. kit seems pretty cool and 500 is a good value
That adapter looks like it's for the Chevy 203 205 doubler. If i ever 350 my Cherokee im going old school with everything. Have you done frame stiffeners yet. Liked and subbed
If there’s play in the bolts in the adapter plate before tightening it up all the way put all 6 in then tighten it up. May just need to shift over a bit
This kit looks sweet, I think I will be using it. How does the fluid work with the new extra planetary assembly? Do you just use the regular fill and drain plugs on the main case and it fills the planetary?
@@gageboysgarage6059 well I do appreciate your reply I did do some research for my application I will need a 1310 to 1350 conversion joint and then a double cardan flange I appreciate it though 👍
Thanks for the vid. Does it give you the ability to put it in just front wheel drive? I really want to do this mod and I have the extra t-cases kicking around but unfortunately I own a TJ. I don't think it's possible without moving the rear axle back a bunch and then I'd probably have to move the fuel tank too.
unfortunately no i don’t believe you can’t select front and rear with a chain style case without lots of modification. and yeah it’s a long setup it would be tough in a tj
@@gageboysgarage6059 I am asking because I'm trying to figure out whether to do a dual transfer case or change the gears in my axles. I'm trying to go with a Overlander type build with big tires
