Megaman 5 was the first Mega Man game I ever played, so it has a special place in my heart. Even after playing 1-4 and 6 I like 5 the best. Awesome soundtrack and the difficulty level is very polished. ...though I had a LOT of trouble with the dropping crystals in Crystal Man's stage.

In Gyro Man's stage, him passing the spike elevator shocked me too. Most of my deaths in that stage are at that spot. This is also the easiest classic Mega Man game, based on my experience.

BTW, there was no grinding in the other Mega Man final stages. Probably because Capcom figures that you'd be smart enough to get a GAME OVER to get all weapon energy back(especially for final bosses that REQUIRE a weapon like Mega Man 2's final boss).

You know that skull shield from Mega Man 4 that made the part with falling rocks way easier? Yeah, if only there was some kind of analogue to that in this game… but alas… what choice have we but to soldier on?

Charge Man, like Wheel Gator, is one of the handful of Mega Man bosses who is actually easier to buster duel. And yet Phil doesn't even think twice about it. Gotta use dem weaknesses, bro.

Dsp only played a couple of classic megaman games but not part 7 or 8.

The dropping crystals part is hilarious. You don't even need to wait for a "gap" you can jump in between them even if they fall one after the other.

Those big jetpack dude sure are tough, it's a shame there's no weapons in his arsenal that would have helped him here, and definitely not multiple ones at that

30:05 To be fair, Charge Man can be tough sometimes. At one playthrough he charged at me four times in a row with barely no room to dodge or land an attack on him.

If there's one game on this planet that is based on 100% skill and 0% bullshit, it's Mega Man. I've watched him fail at every other game he plays, but to blame Mega Man for his own incompetence is just too much.

Stone Man's pattern is easy. And it makes using Napalm Bomb on him even easier. Just release one where he is about to land and it always hits. When he does a jump combo it is the perfect time to land multiple hits on him. So easy.

Hey, lay off of Phil when he says "yo" and "mad". He's an elite in the FGC in case you forgot.

He calls this the hardest mega man game. In actuality, it's the easiest of the classic MM games by far. You can see just in this TIHYDP how many e-tanks the game gives you. The charged mega buster shots are wider than they've ever been before and now it's possible to just charge shot everything with ease. Most of the "tough" parts of the game can be easily cheesed with power-ups like the star man shield, super arrows or Rush. Even the final Wily levels aren't that hard. The final boss is a joke compared to previous MM games. I beat the final boss without Beat easily. With Beat, he's a joke. He only has 1 pattern and Beat will tell you where he's going to spawn. But without Beat, he still can't hurt you unless you are a massive pleb like DSP. It's not necessary AT ALL to know the robot masters' weaknesses. As you can see in this video, GuideSydePhil actually hurt himself by adhering too strongly to the boss weaknesses. Charge Man is much easier to kill with charged buster shots. He makes a good starting point for the game because his level is easy and so is he. Charge Kick can be used to bypass certain enemies and obstacles too (another thing GuideSydePhil missed out on by not experimenting.) The Napalm shot is great up close against strong enemies like the buff jumping dudes who bodied DSP over and over. The Crystal Eye is a pretty solid weapon as well since the projectile is large enough to prevent ducking and it deals ok damage. I never had problems on the falling ice area once I realized Star Man's weapon can protect you. He's awful at this game and it's even worse when you realize he's staring at a guide the entire time.

Honestly. I don't think he was that bad here. Yeah he looked up the boss order and fucked up a few times but his bitching and stupidity wasn't nearly as bad as when he played X6.

"It's my original experience with the game" the playthrough hasn't even started and he already managed to spew out bullshit. Yeah "original experience" once I take a look at a walkthrough first to figure out the best order to fight bosses - rather than actually _experiencing_ the game and figuring things out on my own. lol Original Experience my ass. Because playing exactly like someone wrote in his walkthrough is Original.

Very late to the party, but to be fair using healing items instead of a life is valid when the boss is at like 25%, I mean they exist for a reason. Like if you're certain you can beat it in that try, use an item. If not, retry. That's how I do it.

Lol man DSP sucks so bad at this game and I can tell he used a walkthrough or a guide there is no way he knows all the bosses weaknesses like that having not played this game before. While I have nothing against walkthroughs being used atleast be decent at doing whatever it is you are trying DSP still struggled with the bosses without even really trying as he lacks practice. half these bosses in this game are so easy most can be easily killed with the charged buster only. like Gyro Man do ya really need gravity hold Phil? Gyro Man has such an easy simple pattern. Dude didn't even try or put out even the slightest effort to try fighting most these bosses without resorting to their weaknesses right away same with Charge Man easy asf don't even need power stone.

I haven't watch the video on Mega Man 2 yet, but I'm assuming that he uses Metal Blades only. Edit: I just watched it and nope, apparently he didn't. To bad he's the type of Mega Man player that only uses the Mega Buster except for boss fights, where he'll use weapons, and utilities where needed.
