Watching phil has actually done a lot of good for me. I can get pretty mad at games. I never realized it but I kind of acted like he does. Since I started watching him, I've cut back and have become A LOT more chill.

No wonder he quit sfv, who couldn't get a perfect fighting him holy shit.

I'm not much of a fighting game person. I enjoy them, but I'm awful at them, and yet I feel like I could beat DSP. Least when i lose I'm willing to admit why.

I don't know very much about SF in general. But I do know a lot about a person by how they behave during pressure. Phil has never once, in all my recollection, come back from a loss round one and turned around the match. Never. He crumples under pressure or challenge. I believe this is why he lies so much. It's his coping measure for pressure in life. You can see that behavior here, like when he yells about his "inputs dropping" or magical one sided lag. He's a sad little man.

I will never understand what in the fuck he is talking about every time he screams: "I wasn't doing anything and I still got hit!" So... you were just standing there, doing nothing and you got hit? Why, exactly, wouldn't you get hit, when you're standing there, doing nothing, Phil?!

I've started to notice a pattern. Whenever Phil actually compliments an opponent, during the match, he practically yells it at the top of his lungs. Like, "OHHH, GOOD MOVE!!!". It's clear that he only praises people to make himself look good and like a nice guy, but he's taken it to ridiculous levels now. Actually shouting compliments during matches to make sure that people hear him acting like a good sport. Obvious/10, Phil. Seriously.

The epic comebacks are so satisfying to watch.

Holy shit. Just rewatched this for old times sake, and noticed something I must have missed before. Around the 1 hour mark Phil's geif vs Chun Li. "I don't know if it's because there's delay in the lag." His excuses are so far gone now that even his lag has lag.

I like how you show a comment showing why he is losing, then show him failing which the character he was complaining about, getting bodied by doing what the comment said. It's great.

I like how after an hour in, he starts covering up his salt with quotes like "good move!", when we all know he would actually say "DOOD MY MOVE WOULDN'T COME OUT!"

Phil makes all these excuses about why he lost to all those Lauras, but we all know it's because he was distracted by their breasts because he's always hitting on other video game women for their appearance as well.

@ 1:50:44Phil just proved he has no idea how to use Rashid and was once again mashing Spinning Mixer. Whirlwind Shot ("fireball") is qcf+K, but he did the Critical Art, which is double qcf+P. Poor Phil can't even lie and make excuses correctly.

We can hear the mashing inputs as he screams "IM NOT PRESSING ANYTHING"

I suddenly remembered a fun thing a streamer did with Street Fighter 5. He played through the story mode with equal parts salt and genuine fun before hitting the versus mode. But, the streamer wasn't really good at the game and he admitted this! And he also acknowledged that his own commentary wasn't gonna be that good with online matches and he was just gonna get super salty. So what did he do? He gathered together the street fighter players from his chat/community and he colour commentated over their matches! It was actually a really fun time. He had a blast just watching these well practiced street fighter players have at and providing a very energized commentary over it. The conclusion here being that the guy I watched was a humble dude who turned his weakness into an advantage and gave his viewers a creative and fun evening. While DSP here is a whiny brat who assaults his fans with his toxic filth and never thinks outside the box. F$cker can't even be bothered to adapt to a fighting game that isn't Street Fighter 2 Hyper Turbo Quick Platinum Edition DXX

I really appreciate this all in one place, the best DSP moments are him screaming at real people.

There was some amazing lines from Phil in this video and the fights were straight up magical. Here’s a list of my favourites. Near Double Perfect Laura Absolute slaughtering by a Ken with the name Rushdown Artist Mocking Randy Savage Gief, then getting crushed. Ohhhh yeeeeaahhhhh Any time he fights F.A.N.G it’s so goofy and stupid that it curves deep into Looney Tunes territory. Random Super Ken was godlike, that was one of the best timed supers I think I’ve ever seen. Beautiful. There was a Nash fight where he ate three heavy punches in a row and then dropped every 360 afterwards. Phil gets killed by Donkey Kong Birdies stray banana Every Chun Li fight but especially the Psychic Goddess who ducked his punches and kicks with insane precision. In that fight Phil also backs out of a super and into a fireball. Which KOs him. The “Zoning Karin” is always a classic Rollback Zangief which opens with a pro level throw tech. Also has him acknowledge throws beat command throws making his earlier throw rants totally moot. And phil gets his ex stuffed by normal moves....twice! The Wall of Ryu which absolutely destroyed his Zangief. Managed to seriously annoy him because he kept expecting him to mash dragon punch, then ate throws the entire fight. Before Cody released, Cammy was my favorite character so I can really get behind Cammy fights, but that’s just bias so ignore that. PitDaimao Vega vs Ryu is a lesson on good positioning. Also complains the game takes moves back (what?) and another “random super” Comboqueens match featuring an excellent ken. Ends on a zero health standoff for both players. The match following that has Facepalming Birdie, who throws one out every time phil blunders into his setups. Clearly this dude was not impressed. SlinkdaGod gets an epic Birdie comeback, this also has the most baffling situation I’ve ever seen, after Birdie powers up, phil stands in the middle of the stage doing absolutely nothing, screaming at the top of his lungs about how he can’t defend the Birdie. Bizarre. Naturally he’s beaten, but had plenty of options available, he just.....does nothing. Crazy Combos Ryu was great. Almost as good as the Total Domination Rolento from SF4. Phil encounters a green “Puzzle Boss” Rashid Broccoli Bison pushes his patience to its absolute limits. He gets incredibly cheesed off when his moves are repeatedly stuffed. This dude also throw techs nonstop. DontPok3TheB3ar lives up to his name. This is the match JabSuper was coined. An R.Mika called Zangief (lol) does some pretty awesome corner combos and shows off her knowledge of move priority. This massively confuses phil who was expecting a fight with lots of command throws. At this point Phil switches to his former main Ken (at least from Alpha anyway) but has difficulty with his new techniques. Still plays a decent technical game though, but his opponents are a much higher Calibur due to his increased rank. Massive Rank Rashid blows phil up. Compared to Phil’s rank though this Rashid was in another world entirely. Great fight. The end of this fight is an avelanche Of bitter. Phil was clearly not happy with the matching system. Mash to Win vs Alex. Wow this was a great fight. He blames the Counter Hit system for his loss. And contradicts himself MASSIVELY (I wasn’t doing anything and kept getting counter hit) in order for a counter hit to register in the game you HAVE to be doing something beforehand. The Alex to his credit never drops below half health both rounds. Very good technical player. The following fight is his Street Fighter 5 is Trash rant. (Juri vs Gief) in recent years Capcom has pulled themselves together to deliver blockbuster after blockbuster thanks to the workhorse of their new engine, much to Phil’s chagrin, who expected them to bankrupt and bust following release of Marvel Infinite. Any fan should know that Capcom always comes back strong. Tevin vs Phil follows this. Phil expected an easy win despite Tevins rank. Tevin murders him in straight sets. GG Almighty One. Mashy Karin infuriates Phil who never puts any of Ibukis advanced techniques into play, then gets massively upset when he jukes. At the end of this fight he vomits salt and then drops the game periodically. If he’d used some of her trickier techniques though he would legitimately have stood a better chance. After Mashy Karin is the majesty of Somas Chun-Li. A showcase of his rank evolution and a pretty good display of some technical setups for Chun. This is the benefit of constant training and practice. Chun is a good fit for Soma. Phil needs to find a character that fits his high risk high reward play style. (I’d recommend Sagat, Falke or even Cody to stay as safe as possible) a character needs to fit their player. And a player needs to put the time in to learn those tricks and techniques. It’s a symbiotic relationship of sorts. Neglecting your training can make you rusty, as any martial artist knows. To make a long story short, Phil could legitimately be a great player if he chose a character he resonated with and just practiced every day instead of relying on two decade old skills and fundamentals. At best his skill level sits somewhere between low to mid tier. A weeks practice could bring him to upper mid to high tier. It’s just.....he doesn’t want to. As his passion fades away, he sees practice and training as too much effort and a waste of time. If he could just keep his cool and not erupt so much he could comeback from a large number of these losses. Some anger management classes or calming exercises would do wonders for his self esteem. I love salt as much as the next guy, but it’s painful to watch it slowly kill somebody through years of neglect. Stay healthy and salt free my doods.

I have never, nor will I ever be a view count on one of his own videos. I appreciate that you made this, so I can laugh at him without giving him a single second of my time.

Now... I have little to no experience with fighting games. But... it seems to me when other players use certain characters, they play them quite differently. Some work well at range, some rush in close and so on. Phil appears to use the same strategy with every character he plays, though may labour heavily on certain moves he likes, which appear to be, single shot heavy damage moves... the sort of thing which does immense damage in an unavoidable way if it triggers and hits. Also notice he brings up double tapping the buttons again... and seems to refer to, the game almost randomly deciding what moves to activate from him... almost as if he's mashing all the buttons at once... and so the same action from him, can lead to varied results. It's remarkable that he attacks both the game's... connection, and his victorious opponent's skill in the same breath, a stack of varied excuses before moving on, waiting for the game to... stop impeding his supposed skill so he can reign supreme against the horde of unskilled players who magically all have perfect connections compared to his... It's so surreal, not for the first time I wonder if his lunacy is sincere...

Attend DarkSydePhil FG University where youll learn that Whatever character you face will counter your character perfectly always!, Where if you do something right it just makes sense but if you whiff the latency is terrible. If they hit you its always a mystery cause you were blocking, unless you weren't blocking. 90% of the game is a mystery!? And no one is better than you and no one will ever legitimately beat you! how is it all your natural god like skills aren't helping you win? youll find out at Phils FGU!!

I doubt anyone cares but having played this game a ton and knowing DPS' fighting game history the reason he will never be good at fighting games ever again is because he will never study frame data. He comes from a time before it existed and never adapted. So much of his complaints are spamming but at the same time the moves being spammed are moves that are minus so its his turn he just doesn't know and refuses to learn. One of the reasons I love SFV even if I don't play it anymore is how balanced it is. The worst character still has a good chance to win especially at DPS' skill level. Where older games even SF4 some general knowledge of how good characters work makes it very hard for lower tier characters to even stack up.
