If I had to listen to a song on repeat for 24 hours, this would be it. It's called "I'm Tight" by my favourite artist in the world right now, Louis Cole. I love his music, his album and his work. Been a fan of Louis, Knower and their whole ecosystem for years, and I'm so hyper to hear you talking about him! He and Gen also said this is the first time Knower has made any real money from an album, and no doubt some added publicity from you helped. Keep pushing out great musicians! Not sure if you know, but Louis Cole's old roommate (who he still collaborates with) has a band called Scary Pockets... who's most recent release is a Funk cover of your song (I believe in a thing called Love). It's... pretty darn good. Would love to see a reaction!

Saw Louis Cole in Manchester at the Ritz. Absolutely magic. Louis surrounds himself with incredible musicians which creates this magic storm on stage where he is pushing himself, his band is pushing themselves, and they all land in this perfect racing lane of wonderful music. There's so many details, so many explosions of sonic colour... it's incredible.

This song is an absolute masterpiece. Revisited it again today with my son who also loves it. The lyric, "A little dark, white as f**k, I just reflect the sun, you're not starstruck". Funny and beautifully sung and played. Keep up those standards Louis!

Dude! When that video came out, i was CERTAIN it would be going viral in short order. But it didnt seem catch on the way i thought it would. I watched that video atleast 15 times, watched each person individually, and theres so many funny little things you'll notice, that you hadnt with one watch. Louis totally rules. Brilliant.

Earth Wind & Fire - In the Stone vibes. Verdine White, Maurice White, Philip Bailey and all those sensational guys. The Emotions performing as support vocalists on Boogie Wonderland. Maybe that was a label - stable dealio. Whatever the haps, the combination of talents produced some jammin' funk grooves and ethereal melodies.

Sam’s around for a lot of live stuff but Louis does his own bass work on his records. There’s a little video on YT, search ‘im tight (bass part)’ of Louis playing the isolated bass.

I found / happened upon Viagra boys about 18 months ago and felt enormous comfort from the fact that you liked them too. I own an old amusement arcade in Barmouth that you once visited. We saw you. Ignored you. That's our approach to talent pretty much. You parked a lovely car opposite . Anyway I'd just like to say how much I enjoy your approach to this style of critical appreciation. I'm an Oxford Zoology M.A. (terribly handy underneath the Waltzers) and adore honest pure appraisal. Your enthusiasm is both infectious and kind yet subjective. I adore the way you cross pollinate the analysis to expose influences and homages in the piece you dissect. I'm always told off for being wordy. Had you noticed?

MonoNeon and Thundercat are two bass players you would love, Justin. MonoNeon is in Knower. I love Louis Cole and his sphere of musicians. It’s the humour, tasteful raunchiness, complexity, light touch, normcore, no budget, and non-binary vibe. I like the etherial overlay with the frenetic rhythms. Extremely fun contemporary jazz.
