So excited can’t wait to try your recipe my next-door neighbours when I was a kid were used in the end and I was really good friends with their children that family treated me like the wrong kid I had dinner over there every single night for years! Lol 😂 Roti and Dahl!!!!!! And they used to make me chai tea for a treat all the time and I haven’t had it in years just in powdered form but it’s not the same as when I was a kid! This is going to bring me back thanks so much for sharing this recipe!!!❤
@@anmol3 Another nushka, you reduce the milk before you add it to tea. Don't put cold milk from fridge straight into boiling tea. You may think ek chai ke liye itna kuch...but see, the biggest problem is, cooking time of tea and cooking time of milk is vastly different. If you wanna have creamy texture you'll have to reduce the milk first. By the time cold milk gets upto a boil, tea would already start to become bitter and if you don't boil the milk, your tea will have milk smell and milk taste. I make the tea liquor, transfer it on a glass, then reduce the milk and add the tea liquor back in. You try it once bro, aap zindagi bhar yaad karoge mujhe 😎
A simple but delicious Chai recipe! I think that a lot of times we forget that there is a lot of beauty to be enjoyed in simple recipes. When you keep the ingredient list small, it really let's the individual flavors shine because nothing is being over shadowed.
I do the same but I use little bit of nutmeg, crushed black pepper, only 1 cardamom pod, very-very little cinnamon and 1 inch crushed Ginger. Optional one can also use creamer!!!
Let me tell you the best tea recipe for health like we add nutmeg, cardamom, clove, ginger, black paper powder, funnel Seed, cinnamon, Star Anise, bay leaf, Tulsi powder, methi seeds and taj mahal chai best chai with 100 health benefits and we add bura not sugar

I love chai, I mix 4 spices in mine, ginger, cardamom cinnamon and star anise 🫣I have never tried a cold one though, and the double boiling sounds cool
I think replacing the milk with evaporated milk makes the chai tastier. I know this is not authentic Indian chai, but this is a common practice in the Middle East.
And unless you have health issues, always make chai with whole or evaporated milk. It'll be so rich and delicious, trust me! 🥰 This is what I add in my karak chai mix: fennel, cinnamon sticks, black peppercorn, cardamom, chunk of fresh ginger and cloves
I made my family hooked into chai. We are Vietnamese so our spice blend is what we use in pho (except black cardamom). I experimented for a day or two for our perfect blend and my family and I loved it. It reminds us of the comforting effects and slight aftertaste of pho but in tea form 😂.
Absolutely refreshing beverage. I drink this twice a day. And that takes 20 mins. Simmering with tea leaves for minimum 6-7 mins for one cup of tea is the key to absolutely gorgeous taste. Thanks for sharing this
Do you have a specific brand/type of loose black tea you'd recommend? I know a lot of ppl use assam, but I wanted a nice quality black tea as a strong base. Also amazing video, I'm totally going to use it as soon as I have all of the ingredients.
Ok so basically green cardamom is kinda expensive so what i do usually is one pod per 2 people and its perfect. Its subtle but there and really rich too. If u put that many pods in the chai for a person it'll be too overwhelming however green cardamom has the best flavor ever so ig it might be nice only!?
I don't know if in Indian homes anyone uses so much water. Actually from what I have seen, if there are no stomach issues, then no water is used at all. Using only milk brings out the real creamy rich after taste.
Adding the cardamom last after the first boil gives a stronger taste which is much better imo. I always used to add it before like in the video but I found putting it last makes the flavour come out more as it’s not cooked off, seeing as cardamom is a delicate flavour.
I love chai tea. Though its lot of cardamom for one cup of tea but as you liked its your choice of tea .who can live without their flavor of chai tea.????
Hello Ramya! Which brand and type of black tea you recommend to get that beautiful golden/orange color? Is it better to purchase at an Indian supply store? Thank you and well done on the video and the explanation!
So there are two types of tea in the black tea category 1) fanning (whole leaf and long) 2) CTC (short for Crushed Tear and Curl) CTC is identifiable as small round texture like mustard seeds, that's what you need. Any CTC tea (especially if it's from Assam or Munnar region of India) will give you that rich color, taste and aroma
I only add 2 and cardemon pods for 1 cup of tea and thats enough for me, but you can put 3 for stronger. I dont have any sugar with my tea, but for extra flavour i add star anise and cinnimon, which gives that sweeter not and adds an amazing flavour to it. But i love a strong ginger flavour, love strong chai.
i always hv .. mama tea ie. indian chai in my ctry. they do a special blend that is aromatic n delicious. you cannot achieve this at home unless you buy the blend w is sold in bulk to chai stalls.
