This is one of the funniest comedy sketches of all time. From BBC. Starring Irish comedian named Dave Allen, the sketch was aired in the 70`s or 80`s on the BBC.
This is Ruislip, junction of Ducks Hill Road and Reservoir Road. The cafe closed years back but the building remained until 2020. The two women pushing the prams were not actors, they were people who lived a few houses up the street and were unaware of any filming .
I watched this on TV a long time ago as a child, and for several years after I somehow remembered it as being a Stanley Baxter sketch. Strange how memory can play tricks like that.
Holy cow, now this right here is classic comedy. We will never have humour again because, to top this, is just impossible. If i had a nickel for every time I laughed outwardly I'd have 10 pounds (get it, like in the skit). Anyways I'm gonna go cry into my hands because I know I'll never laugh or be happy again.
ive always hated these kinds of comedy sketches. maybe its because im just a super verbal person, but it always feels like cheap gags. the ending made me smile, ill admit it though
Can anyone help me identify a skit comedy show without dialog? It was probably early 90s, possibly late 80s, I guess british. Two main male characters, one hand mustache and pink spot on his black hair. In one episode he was celebrating his birthday in his room and nobody came. The other guy in one episode took a wooden beam and made a toothpick from it. That's what I can recall, I was a kid when it aired in the early 90s. I guess it's similar show to The baldy man, but in this ine I remember each skit/episode started with a still image and zoomed into it and the skit would begin.

@@hammondOT and you know absolutely noting about the impact Monty Python had on British comedy or how they changed they way comedy sketches were written for ever and wouldn’t know a decent f’ing joke if it walked up and slapped you In the face.
@@CricketEngland Shrug. It still needs to be funny and Monty Python isn't that funny. Wow, the guy is doing a silly walk. That's how I entertain my 4 year old. Fawlty Towers is especially overrated.

If it wasn’t for Monty Python it’s possible we would never had the likes of The Office The Mighty Boosh Little Britain Fawlty Towers Ripping Yarns All the films of Mike Myers and Jim Carey (who sight Python as getting them into comedy) All of Michael Palin’s Travel Shows All the films directed by Terry Gilliam Terry Jones wonderful documentaries And many more stuff on TV
@@CricketEngland Ripping Yarns was great. Jim Carey is not funny, neither is Mike Myers. Father Ted is better than all those shows you listed. And, unfortunately, the American version of The Office was better than Gervais' version.
